I won't be voting for either one of them but at least the Desantis doesn't speak like he has a third grade literacy level or brag about how hot his own daughter is

I would prefer to have Trump finish what he started in 2016-2020, and then have DeSantis take the next 8. As for infighting, that nonsense needs to stop and now, Mr. Trump.

You forgot to add Young Kin.
I wanted to cut the field down to someone who could hold his own against Trump. I don't know how well he would handle a crisis. DeSantis has a proven record.

I think that Trump will loose the 2024 election if he runs.

My Uncle had an eight grade education. He managed, then owned a major construction company. He wasn't the best communicator and known to use some pretty flowery language, but he knew how manage a business. One of his competitors said that he was the best negotiator that he ever met.

He left a business and an estate valued in the millions.

I don't like Trump's attitude, nor his language, but he still was the best negotiator this country ever had.

Too many people didn't vote for Trump because of his periodic descents into sophomoric language. However, that is painfully shortsighted. You vote for a president for his effectiveness as an executive. You're not voting for the nicest guy or for your next pastor.

This guy quieted Kim Jong Un, Russia was quiet during his tenure, ISIS was bombed almost out of existence, the economy was burning hot until covid hit, and everyone started calling for the shut-down of the nation. And, her got us THREE originalist judges for our nation's highest court. And, he was responsible for the Abrahamic Accords. That alone should have earned him the Nobel Peace Prize.

I'll take the doctor with the womanizing lifestyle who's also the best at what he does, vs. the nicest doctor in the world who's also got a mediocre medical track record.

Can't cut it out. It's too good for ratings.

I am not entirely certain, but I am almost entirely certain that the main job of the president of the United States is entertainment and distraction. What, you thought he was supposed to make difficult decisions? Other people, who have more power but less spotlight, are in charge of those.

I may be cynical or I may be right on the money, but that's what I believe. I don't insist that I am correct, but the balance of probability strongly indicates it.

I think we would have another 4 years of made up conspiratorial attacks coming from the left ... we don't need that and it would happen as sure as it did the last time

Trump can only run if his party votes for him to run. I don't think that would happen. Disaster waiting to happen if were to happen

DeSantis? Thankfully I live in FL and he is young enough to wait. would appreciate him staying right where he is for now

So do I. He is almost as old as Biden with tons of legal baggage. Time for a generational change. If nominated, I will be voting for Ron DeSantis.

Time to give the bye bye to a good number of the fossil generation on either side. I would think they have all made enough money by now not to miss another million or 2.

The difference between Trump and DeSantis is like night and day. Simply put, Trump reacts and DeSantis plans, prepares and then acts.

Ugh, either of these men would likely move the nation back to its founding, restoring the intent of the US's constitution, which the American Left is trying to destroy. For example, "progressives" want the SCOTUS to be a left-wing dictatorial oligarchy, but these conservative men want it back to its original design and intent, interpreting laws vs. the original intent of the constitution.

Trump led the Abrahamic Accords. He had the economy running hot until the covid panic hit. NK and Russia were pretty quiet during his administration. The southern border was actually stable and secure. He appointed three constitutionalist -- not progressive "living document" -- judges to the SCOTUS. None of this has happened under Biden, and in fact the opposite has happened. And, those accusing Trump of crimes have yet to point one out and legitimately charge him on it.

I could go on, but how this is not more significant than his dopey tweets or sinful womanizing is simply beyond me. I don't defend his mistakes, but I think his good is what should impress all Christians in the US enough to give him their support.

As for DeSantis, I would certainly vote for him if he were the nominee. Either would likely lead the country (politically, anyway), back to where it ought to be. Take politics too lightly or too cynically, and you get what you deserve.

However... The spiritual issues are the root problem in the US, and they need to be solved through prayer, fasting, and the church cleaning itself up. We need another great awakening in the US, and we need it now.

Reagan ran, and the Left said it would be the KKK in the White House. Bush was illegitimately elected. Trump was illegitimately elected. The press has reamed DeSantis. Why do you think Trump stepping down would stop that or even limit it? No matter who wins on the Republican side, the largely Leftist press corp will rip him/her a new butthole every chance they get. This is what happens when the Left faces its favorite expression of patriotism, dissent.

I want a conservative / constitutionalist guy who can weather that and fire back. I want someone who will fight for the nation's founding principles, which the LW press corp hates. The controversy is their fault, not Trump's, not Bush's, not Reagan's. They are effectively doing what the SA and Black Shirts did, shouting down and intimidating all anti-Left opposition. It is the American press corp you need to be down-voting, not Trump.
