I have no idea what your first language is, but please read over the Strong's entries that you quoted. Read them carefully. And if you are an honest man, you will see that nothing you quoted states "agape is an inhuman unconditional love"

You seemed to be taking a position that agape was uncondition and beyond human ability and yet you quoted something that directly disagees with your premise. If we look at even just your first quoted section in red, it expresses that agape is a choice (choosing His choices), which therefore recognizes that agape can be conveyed by humans and that such conveyance is subject to free will (choosing His choices).

I asked you to clarify (within your worldview) a straightforward premise: if humans can't express agape, why would scripture instruct us to do so? "Love [agape] thy neighbour"

If you took the time to properly understand the entry for Strong's 25, you would understand that your position is incompatible.

What do you have to say for yourself? Do you have an ounce of integrity?
I always get my integrity by the pound so I don't have to answer such tough questions.

What is sin? Many on this board no longer believe in the 10 Commandments, the Law. So, what do we set our moral compasses to when it comes to determining what sin is?

Are there any consequesces to sin, since Jesus forgives us our sins?

Is sin of any importance to us as Christians, since we've already been saved?
Like most things of importance, God didn't make it complicated.
Here is the answer simple enough for a child to understand.

Solution to sin and their consequences

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 6:23

Many on this board understand that Christians are not under the 10 Commandments or the Law. That is completely distinct from "no longer believing" in them.

Most of the commandments are reiterated in the New Testament, which makes clear those actions are still sinful. The difference is that the Law can only itemize a limited number of actions, while the Holy Spirit can speak to the Christian about any action.

The Holy Spirit speaks to the Christian internally, bringing conviction of sin. He also speaks through a variety of other means, including other people. So, to answer your opening question directly, sin is what the Holy Spirit says it is.

Dino,
saying we are not under the law ( 10 commandments) is contrary to the words of the son of GOD, Yeshua. Why did GOD himself gave us the commandments asking us to keep them? Yeshua never said the commandments were not valid anymore, on the contrary, he was teaching the commandments in the temple and said VERY clearly they would never be abolished!!!

see Matthew 5:17-20 below;

17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven."

There are many more verses that say the same things in the N.T and in the O.T. also.

Listen, Anyone who wants to enter in the kingdom of GOD must follow the commandments, it is clear!

LOL ------you wish ------your grasping at straws and trying to justify your wrong understanding of Agape ----keep grasping one day you might get it -----

The idiom 'grasping at straws' is used to mean an attempt to succeed—such as in an argument, debate or attempt at a solution—when nothing you choose is likely to work.

Dear Arthur, sin is breaking the commandments as was given to us by GOD. YAHWEH demands we obey him. To Love GOD is to obey him because we believe him and LOVE him completely it also means completely trust in him. Remember Abraham who did not refuse to sacrifice his son Isaac! Obedience to GOD is the ultimate proof of love and trust!

To sin is to cut yourself from the lord, only through repentance and obedience to GOD can one be saved. of course, Yeshua redeemed us of our sins but we still must obey the law ( 10 commandments) Yeshua was very clear on this. Belief with no works or not following the commandments given to us is not enough!

As for sin, it should not be in our thoughts, we must focus on doing good works, obey the commandments, love our neighbor, help anyone in need as much as possible and always pray the think to to the will of our creator.

Be blessed.

By works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Why? Because we don't possess the ability to keep the commandments.
Who has even approached loving God with all their heart and soul and mind and strength? What is even included in keeping this commandment? And who has done that fully? And who has done this at every moment?
The suggestion that it is even possible to keep even 1 commandment fully at all times is inconceivable, let alone every commandment fully continually.
I think I'll follow Paul's example and be found in Him having no righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith...

Just remember what Yeshua the son of GOD was teaching about the commandments ( to keep the commandments).. Remember also he is the one who will judge you on the day of the resurrection. What excuse will you have for him then?

Matthew 5:17-20
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

God tells us to be holy as He is holy. Have you ever kept this commandment?
The commandments themselves were a schoolmaster to lead us to Christ. That is, we were meant to see our inability to keep the law and turn to Christ for the righteousness the law requires.
The righteousness that exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees is the righteousness of Christ. The Pharisees had dumbed the keeping of the law to merely outward observance. Read Matthew 5. When Jesus says you have heard it said, who do you suppose He was referring to. But Jesus goes on to explain that true obedience is not merely the discipline of the flesh, but a matter of the heart. Not only an outward expression of obedience but an inward reality of a heart free of all impurity and sinful motivation.
Is this the obedience you refer to? Is this your experience? Do you keep every commandment? Do you keep every aspect of each commandment? Do you do this both inwardly and outwardly? Do you do this continuously? If not, I'm afraid your condition is little different than the rich young ruler who went away deeply saddened and I explore you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Can you learn the piano in one day? Can a child walk or talk when he is born? we are children of GOD we have many things to learn and practice, and yes i follow the commandments;

1 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.

I have no other GOD but Yahweh! yes i follow this one!

2“You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My Commandments.

I do not have images or religious statues of any kind in my house, I do not bow to images or statues or serve them in any way, I follow this commandment also!

3“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

I sometimes break this one without thinking, but it's very rare now, I ask the lord for forgiveness when it happens.

4 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

I do not do work on that day, Saturday, I rest , read and meditate, in the past i did break this one

5“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

I never raised my hand or voice to my parents I always obeyed them and loved them.

6“You shall not murder.
I never did
7“You shall not commit adultery. never did
8“You shall not steal. never did! never
9“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. never did

I should also add that I am not advocating lawlessness. Obedience to the law remains the highest estate of man. It glorifies God, reflects our love of Christ, and amplifies the blessing of God to the believer. Nevertheless, no one will ever be justified before God through the law.

By your own admission you have broken the law. And you say you have asked for forgiveness. On what basis does God forgive you?

Your answer is close to being correct. The error in your thoughts is when you say that God demands us to obey Him. God only asks us to obey Him. When He made us in His Image and Likeness, part of that was our free will. God wants us to obey Him, but He never forces us or demands that we obey Him. It is always our freedom of choice as to whether we will or wont.

sorry, i pressed a wrong button this is the rest of my reply;

10“You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.” Nope never did that either..

So I am far from perfect but i do the best I can and getting much better at it if i can follow them anyone can.

As for GOD and Yeshua, I think of him always it takes a lot of practice but I am there now he is always in my mind and i try do to what he likes, yes it is a matter of the heart, loving GOD and do his will. I am not perfect but If GOD allows it i will get better. The lord also corrects you if you fail like an attentive parent he wants us to do better, I trust in him always.

Be blessed.
