Christians Are Not Sinners

If you were one of those that God gave to his Son to redeem them from their sins (J0hn 6:39) there is no sin that you commit that will keep you out of heaven, however, like Paul said, all of us that have been born again do carry the burden of our sinful nature, and oft times yield to the temptations of them.

Those who are in Christ have his righteousness. If Christ never sinned, then that’s the identity of all who are in Christ. If I steal, I’m not a thief because Christ is not a thief. You and I are no longer in the flesh. We are in Christ. We have been spiritually circumcised from the flesh and placed in Christ. The law is no longer against me.

I think there's a difference between being an unrepentant sinner and a repentant sinner. Even Paul in Romans 7:13-25 admitted that he's a sinner and that sin lives within him acting in accordance with it's own laws.

Positionally in Christ, God sees us as if we have never sinned, yet that still does not mean that we 'in of ourselves' are sinless, without fault or defect, flawlwss, absolutely perfect, 100% of the time.

It's true that God forgives and "forgets" our sins, but He knows we did them, and that we still commit them.
I think more properly that we are "declared" righteous. Rom 3:25-26 It's a legal thing.

Yes, that relates to justification. Justified by Christ, put in good standing with God, followed by grace. I don't believe God's grace is without limits, though. It can be abused and lost until one repents afresh.

This is the very first instance in the Bible of the word "sin". The Hebrew word
is somewhat ambiguous but basically speaks of offenses; as in repeat
offender. In other words; not just an occasional slip-up, but a life style.

This is the first mention of self control in the Bible. In other words: God
created humanity with the capability to decide bad ways for itself; but that's
only half the story. God also created humanity with the capability to decide
good ways for itself; so He wasn't requiring something impossible from Cain
like touching his right elbow with the thumb of his right hand.

Nobody is exempt from the rule of self control.

No. That would be those who insist we're sinners in Christ. And Holy Spirit indwells a fouled temple that is the sinner who still sins.

Those who are in Christ do not sin. If they do they do not know him.

Scripture and common sense bear out the scriptures.
If we are saved from our sins but are still sinners who sin, that's the argument those who deny eternal Salvation make for themselves, "OSAS''. I.E OSAS=you can sin but you're still saved.

Even you acknowledge that Christians still sin.

Those who belive they are sinless are suffering from the 'Pharisee in the Temple Complex', deceiving themselves into believing that they are all holy and pleasing in God's sight. Jesus told us that the Pharisee was not forgiven his sins, because he thought he was sinless. On the other hand, the 'Tax Collector' who acknowledged his sins and asked for forgiveness was forgiven.

Jesus came to save sinners, so if you are not a sinner He didn't come for you.

BTW, I'm surprised/amazed at how many posters on this thread believe they are without sin. Not only deceiving themselves but trying to deceive others as well.

No. Very much the opposite. The Christian walk is a journey and sometimes a battle, but our Father has lovingly made provision for repentance and restoration. Not by our works, but by His blood.
