I am fairly new to 'Christianity' and listened to 700club and Jim Bakker show and tv preachers and even 40 years ago I recall seeing tv preachers and in general my opinion of most of them remains the same. i.e. They are in it for the buck. Which reminds me of the first protestant sermon I ever heard in 1971 was about money being the god which is worshipped in the U.S...So it may be the reference to 'post Christian culture' signifies hypocrisy of 'Christian' worship.

I understand the term "post Christian culture" to mean that society as a whole has moved so far
away from embracing Christian values that it can no longer accurately be described as Christian.

Part of the reason for this is the church. When I hear of entire segments of denominations embracing same-sex marriage or abortion... when I visit a church in which the pastor laments that we sound stupid to the world when we say that Genesis is literal... or when I visit a church that has a fog and spotlight show combined with loud rock music and some scantily-clad women in the seats, and then the sermon is largely a secular message... I think the post-christian-ness is our fault.

Always approve repented sinners but not the sins of which they do repent. After all, we are to love our enemis as well as the family in Jesus Yeshua, ergo let us keep the fingers relaxed.

That's just a lot of churches that popped up while Christianity was popular, trying to stay in business while Christianity's popularity wanes. They'll get really chafed with so much riding the fence soon enough.

Not discounting that (and I hope you're right about the outcome), but I also think it's a matter of churches trying to stay attractive to the world, compromising to draw people in. Plus, this generation's being indoctrinated, even in 'christian' schools. I am praying for another great awakening within the US and soon.

Christianity is on a pretty rapid decline in america. Pew research projects that Christians will be the minority in America in the next 50 years or so
Before anyone straw man's me, I'm not claiming that all Christians are like this but here are a few reasons I think America in general is drifting away from Christianity
1. Demonizing science
2. Grifters like Kenneth copeland, TD Jakes etc
3. The way the religious right has a tendency to push bat poop crazy conspiracies
4. bigotry against the LGBT community
5. Pretending to have the Monopoly on morality while propping up thugs like Alex Jones

And I know there are plenty of Christians who are reasonable people but I feel like these are some of the reasons why Christianity is on the decline in America

The instant someone or any group get to the point where he or they believe they have a mandate to judge others in the place of Jesus Yeshua, he or they have become apostatic. We are to yield completely to the will of our Maker, Jesus Yeshua. Once we begin to remake His teaching to suit what we have decided to be the way we have abandoned the Way, the Truth and the Life given us by Him
Praise Jesus Yeshua, and learn from Him only for He, only, is the Master. All blessings and love in Jesus Yeshua, amen.
