Hi,

My name is Dave and I’m a mess I feel like i been ostracized by everyone . My body it self doesn’t know what to do . I don’t know if I’m a Christian but I do believe in the bible and that Jesus Christ is lord . But im a terrible sinner and I don’t like it . I take medicine to help me with my mind but the only One that helps is zopiclone which I have limited supply . The other medicines don’t appear to be helped.

i wonder if Jesus cares sometimes that I’m too far gone , I don’t feel, like a Christian because everyone in the world of mine has achieved perfection , and I’m struggling Just to be good. Trying hard Not to get upset with my life that he’s given me.

i struggle with wanting a love that I can never know, I know it’s against the bible to lust but it hurts so bad these feelings I get how does Jesus solve the need for it?

I dont want to feel this way , I struggle with trusting ppl, and yet i type all this .

how do I get free from this bondage?

im trying to find a way to stop the pain and the need for something that I can’t just get or have.

Jesus loves you and we are so glad you came. Jesus gave His life for the sick and the dying. We were all born under sin.

everyone in the world of mine has achieved perfection
What gives you that impression? (They are certainly not perfect, only Jesus is perfect.)

But im a terrible sinner and I don’t like it .
We all start that way, and it is a good thing to not like it. Jesus can help and heal people like you.

how do I get free from this bondage?
With God all things are possible. Do you believe this? Open your hearts door to Him in full surrender. See what He does for you.

Let's both take this to the Lord together...

Dear Lord, we believe you love us and died on the cross that we might be delivered from the pain and hopelessness of the old life. We acknowledge that your blood can make us clean, pure, and wash us white as snow. Please make us vessels and tools fit for use in your hands today. Thank you, Jesus.

Nice to have you joining the discussions here at CC and WELCOME😃 Don't feel alone about temptations we're in a world where seduction is all around. I've seen many a preacher fall to their passions and get divorces but go on with their ministries or flop.
Read or listen to the Word each day and pull down those imaginations before they start. Btw, ditto everything the wise oyster67 said, that's pretty right on. God bless and remember God is listening when we pray.

Hi Dave,

Welcome to the rest of us who aren't perfect.
There's only One Who is perfect and that's God.

Being "good" IS a struggle isn't it?
It's hard to be good and none of us are without sin. If I were to ask 10 people what it takes to go to heaven, they all would likely say something about that struggle. It's hard work to turn from sins, be "good" and keep all the 100s of commands that are in the Bible.

Thankfully, God knows this and provided a way besides sinless perfection.
There's none righteous, no not one. All of us have sinned.

i struggle with wanting a love that I canLl
never know, I know it’s against the bible to lust but it hurts so bad these feelings I get how does Jesus solve the need for it?
I dont want to feel this way , I struggle with trusting ppl, and yet i type all this .

That's a good start. Why?
You can't trust anyone to save you, not even yourself.
If we got what we deserved, we would all be in a bad place. Even a lie puts us in that bad place.

"...all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
Revelation 21:8.

I think we are all guilty of that one.

how do I get free from this bondage?

Not to sound like a cliche' , but that is a VERY good question. A man in a desperate situation in Acts 16:30 asked a similar question.
"Sirs, what must I do to be saved.
Paul told him quite simply,

"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

Since you have never been perfect, you need forgiveness. That comes through the only one Who is perfect, the good God and Savior Jesus Christ. That is why He suffered horrendous punishment for all of our sins. He did not want us to suffer in hell, so He gave His life and suffered for us, in our place. After He died on the cross, He was buried and rose back to life on the third day.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift if God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 6:23

Everlasting life is a gift offered to you free of charge. God accepts no good works on our part. Why?
1. The amount to nothing but an insult.
2. Jesus paid for all sins past, present and future. The Everlasting life is a gift that must be accepted by faith in the Son if God alone.
3. Jesus is the only person worthy of trust.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Ephesians 2

AND you'll recognize this one...
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Salvation from hell and eternal life is a gift.
You
can have it right now.
You can not work for it. It's impossible to get it that way.
It is offered when you decide to make Jesus the Object of your trust/ faith. Just like the Son of God the Father said in John 3:16

Just to review first....
Do you recognize that you don't deserve to go to heaven and there's no amount of good works that could be acceptable to a perfect God from sinful men?
No use trying to get to heaven, because you can't. However, Jesus wants you to be with Him when you die, so He suffered beyond your imagination for everything you did or will do. His death was sufficient. He took back His life and now offers it to you when you call upon Him believing/ trusting in Him alone.

im trying to find a way to stop the pain and the need for something that I can’t just get or have.

You can have that gift right now. I will make it easy to get it by leading you in prayer. The prayer isn't what saves, it is the Savior Who saves. You are just asking Him for that gift right now. Just tell Him...

"Dear Jesus,

I realize that I have done things that you had to suffer for terribly upon the cross.
None of my good works compare to that or could ever pay for sins.
You suffered so that I would not have to suffer in hell forever. Thank you for loving me and for going through that.
I believe that You took Your life back that third day. Please.save me from hell.
I ask for that gift of everlasting life that you promised to me. I believe You alone for that gift. Thank You for keeping Your promise.

Amen"

If you just prayed that, believing in Jesus alone for salvation, this promise is also for you.

"And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

This written record is given as a promise of eternal life, that you can know you have for now on, for trusting Jesus and what He did for you.

I John 5

Dave, did you just pray that prayer my friend?

Hey from "another Dave"!

You sound like me back in 1979... Sin unchecked does us all tremendous damage! But our surrender to Jesus by faith in His loving work for us through His torturous death and resurrection and going to be with our Father can indeed and does bring us a growing freedom, peace, joy and assurance of His forgiveness and love!

I can tell you that mental health problems and severe trauma is a HUGE problem for many people these days, yet Jesus is our Redeemer! He saves us from our sin and gives us the growing ability to walk in the power of His Resurrection-Life and Freedom. That means torment and misery in our lives can lessen and we can know unrivaled freedom from the power of sin and the forces of the flesh and darkness (unGodly evil entities/spirits/demons/dark angels). (If these words and ideas are new to you ask about them and we can explain.)

Search long and hard for a face-to-face church and leaders that believe in the full Gospel: in all it's power and Glory! Get into a regular discipleship relationship with a mature Christ-follower who will support you as you grow in Jesus. It needs to be someone who understands mental health struggles and who will respect your challenges. See if you can find a church who has licensed Christian counsellors on staff or a list of counsellors that they can refer you to and help with the costs of. (Finding a weekly group within that church would be really good, too!)

You need to find a Christian spiritual "family" locally that can help you recover from and love you through all the sin that has damaged you! THIS IS VITAL! Belonging to a healthy Christian body of believers where they can support you and understand your gifts and abilities and help you to serve is SO important!

A BIG brotherly HUG & Blessings!

I realize, Dave, that I have NOT answered the specific q's you have asked in detail - that was purposeful. I think that such q's are best answered in the context of real one-on-one relationship with other believers who are getting to know you and understand your particular needs. I personally don't think I want to try to answer such important q's with a one-off attempt to respond, here; I don't think it does you justice. If you want to hit me up with an email here, privately, I can get more specific and particular to you by getting to know your specific needs. Of course: daily start reading the Gospels (1st 4 books in the New Testament), read the Psalms and Proverbs! Find a more mature Christian guy to talk to about what you are reading, write down your questions. And learn how to use various tools or helps to study the history and contents of the Bible. If there is a good Christian radio station in your area, start listening, you may find some good programs and shows, there may be some local churches that have programs that give you an idea of what they are about. PRAY & ask Jesus/Holy Spirit to guide you in your search for helpful fellowship and Christian community! Do NOT try to do your faith-walk alone!!

These are just a few suggestions.

A BIG brotherly HUG & Blessings!

it's hard but the only, only way is BELIEVE, folks deride it as easy believism but actually it isn't.

BELIEVE that God loves you
BELIEVE He wants to bless you
BELIEVE He is on your side

Jesus died for YOU, He is willing to set up kingdom IN YOU, once He dwells in you He starts ruling and organising everything for you.
Stop thrashing around, stop beating yourself up and hand it all over to Jesus.

... you is in boot camp.

Love and welcomes.

You are not answering my questions directly, what do you mean by these vague and rather obtuse (and possibly a sarcastic) comment(s)?

Say what you mean directly to me, please. When you say: “… now I know the rest of the story…”; what story do you know the rest of?
