In a time when relations between the citizens and police officers are at an all-time low, we see police officers doing everything in their power to "protect their own". WARNING, the video contains some language that people might find offensive. Apparently, a badge and gun grant extra rights even when you're drunk, driving 100+ MPH, and running from the police.

Is this "protecting and serving" when police officers do everything in their power to charge the drunk and dangerous cop with the bare minimum? He could have killed himself and/or other people... This seems more of the Thin Blue Line Gang covering for their own than protecting and serving.

Another cop basher. *block*
Is it not prudent to hold drunk off-duty police officers running from police at over 110 mph? Is it bashing to expose the abuse of power granted to people in authority?

Let me guess, you trust the FBI and people in congress and feel they should not be subject to any oversight?

Cops are people too. Some are good, some are bad and some are ugly.
And some are just plain ...... 😄

I still like ol' Barney, even if he was a little over the top. At least he didn't shave his head and pretend to be an army man on the way to the policeman's ball at 111 mph.

I can understand how you would think of that since you have a good sense of humor and it was a famous speghetti western reference.

But get this....
The sun was down and I just finished dinner. Oops! My clothes are out on the line. Better bring them in because it's getting dark.
After I folded the dry clothes and put them in the basket, I felt the ground.
"That's close. There's already DEW on the ground."
Then the first thing that popped into my head was the name of a news reporter named.....Rob...DEW.
https://www.banned.video/channel/dews-news

No big deal right.

As soon as I started walking back to the house, my neighbor across the alley opened his door and called his dog in.

"Here DEW!"

I kid you not.
😂

That happens all the time.
What dew you make of it? 😉
I mean do you make of that?

Whatever we give someone a badge and a gun and give them that much responsibility, then they should be held to a higher standard of accountability.
There's nothing wrong with wanting to prosecute bad cops. That doesn't mean I hate all cops

And a thousand more went out, saved lives, rescued people, solved a case, played basketball with the local kids and some lost their lives. What's your point?

I think most police officers are probably genuinely trying to do the right thing by their communities but they are always going to be a few bad ones and they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Just a couple days ago on my way to work I saw a police officer on the highway doing what looked like at least a hundred miles an hour. No sirens no flashers, nothing
Just think that's a little hypocritical.
No reason he should have been driving that fast unless it's an emergency with lights and sirens
So yeah there are some cops who apparently think they are above the law

I'm not sure what your point is by bringing up what other police officers may be doing/have done. Are you saying because you arbitrarily attributed a number of police officers who did good deeds (to contrast this drunk cop's actions), we should not be appalled at the blatant actions of this drunk off-duty police officer in addition to the on-duty police officers who went above and beyond to get the felony charges knocked off?

By your reasoning, there is no point to call out clergymen who have been proven to be child molesters because the vast majority aren't actually doing that but are doing what they feel God has inspired them to do.

You might think the vast majority of FBI/CIA agents are good, but when they blatantly obstruct the Hunter Biden laptop investigation, are you defending the Bidens by asking what the point is when there are other federal agents doing good deeds? Something tells me that wouldn't be your standpoint.

So are we only allowed to criticize the police officers who covered up for Nancy Pelosi's husband?

Using your defense, "And a thousand more went out, saved lives, rescued people, solved a case, played basketball with the local kids and some lost their lives".... So let me ask you and anyone else who criticizes Nancy Pelosi's husband's DUI case... "What is your point?"

Hopefully you see the hole in your reasoning now.

Nah, the point was politicians, and their families, get off scott free too. Why pick on just police officers.

Have done. The majority have done.

"Arbitrarily attributed" can you explain this comment? Particularity that part.

(to contrast this drunk cop's actions), we should not be appalled at the blatant actions of this drunk off-duty police officer in addition to the on-duty police officers who went above and beyond to get the felony charges knocked off?
Nope, punish the few according to the law. But praise the majority, they do a job every day we wouldn't want to do.

Nope, if they break the law, do the same as you would do to any citizen. But make a distinction, the majority do their job well, above and beyond. Sure not on the side of breaking the law.

No, this is called "moving the goal post". It's your right to refuse to accept the police and the DA colluded.

You call it "picking on" officers when you hold them accountable. Is it also "picking on" the FBI by stating they were protecting the Bidens by covering up the Hunter Biden laptop?

Where I come from, it's called "holding someone accountable." Perhaps we come from different places.

You have no idea who has or hasn't done anything. This is a made up assumption on your part. Your don't have any research on all law enforcement officers playing basketball with kids or anything concrete to illustrate your partial belief. I would rather not even talk about other officers when we are suppose to be discussing a specific scenario in a video of a group of on-duty cops and one drunk off-duty cop.

"Arbitrarily attributed" can you explain this comment? Particularity that part.

"Arbitrary" means "based on random choice or personal whim"... which is exactly what you're doing without actual data to support silly points that have nothing to do with what we are discussing.

Nope, punish the few according to the law. But praise the majority, they do a job every day we wouldn't want to do.

And what would you say to the defense attorney of the "few" cops who are prosecuted for breaking the law when they say, "What's your point trying to hold this police officer accountable for breaking the law? The vast majority save lives, died, and play basketball with kids for goodness sakes!!!!"

Nope, if they break the law, do the same as you would do to any citizen. But make a distinction, the majority do their job well, above and beyond. Sure not on the side of breaking the law.
So is being drunk, evading police and driving 110+ MPH against the law? If it is, then why did you take exception to this thread? Because there wasn't a "praising of the majority" of cops?
