There is a short movie out there that seems to more or less mix in with the Gospels. I am sure that some of you have viewed it. It partially deals with His time in Egypt and Herod's death. No talk of more debatable doctrinal matters. I liked it a lot.

Is it suitable for teenagers? Would it be a good family movie?

It gets mixed reviews. It is based on apocryphal writings about Jesus' childhood from highly disputed accounts such as the Gospel of Peter, written into by a novel Anne Rice, called Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt. Anne Rice is a wonderful writer, and dealt with many of her faith issues (Roman Catholic) through her craft. For instance, RCC believes Jesus had older siblings via Joseph's first marriage and not by Mary herself, and so James is portrayed as Jesus' older brother, instead of His younger brother.

I appreciate your review. I was raised in the RCC. I'm not sure I want to introduce kids to a movie that I have to stop and start to explain poor doctrine throughout.

You seem very informed and have been on the site awhile. Can you explain what it means when someone follows you?

That is not something I really understand :giggle: On the previous platform, people friended you, and now as then,
it is like a friends' list of sorts, and you can see if they are online in the right hand sidebar of the main page.

Other than that, I am not sure  And you can see who is online anyways...

Thanks. I didn't know if it allowed someone to be able to privately message or not and if someone wanted to open a private conversation I didn't want to seem uninterested.

You can make your profile visible only to certain people, I assume those on your list :)

And also limit who can PM you. Most probably just leave it open.

That way anybody can PM you (except those you have on ignore).

It is a speculative movie about the pre-Biblical time of Jesus. I would not use it to teach Bible. I believe that Jesus could have done those things, but I separate the movie from the Bible.

Hi Katia, is this the one?
