Dear friends, I worry for my dad he is grieving the loss of his mother. He is currently fighting his addiction but he doesn't seem to have his mind straight about important things like his family. He plans to live with my uncle and take care of him because he is alone now. I pray God's best for him that he may be strong in the Lord to help him make good decisions as things are moving and changing in our lives. I pray he doesn't lose his faith and God is there by his side every step of the way. In Jesus's name, Amen. Thank you.

Jesus reminds us in Luke 18:1 that men ought always to pray and not to faint. Sounds like that is what you are doing. Prayer is an exercise of faith and pleases God. It also honors Him as the good Shepherd who can satisfy our every need...Psalm 23.

I can identify with him. He is fortunate that they were close. Maybe it's best that he is with family now. I'd just.be there for him any and every way you can. Encourage him and get him involved in healthy activities that will keep him from dwelling on that which he can't change.

One thing that might help, Poisetta, is asking him for help fixing or building something simple for you. Show genuine love and appreciation. At the same time, ask him for spiritual leadership and provide him with opportunities to pray and read the Bible, take you to a good church. This hurtful event might turn into a blessing in disguise.

When my Dad's life was taken from him by a health "care" employee, it was devastating. My health went down hill suddenly and no family seemed to care. If it weren't for the Lord, I'd be alone. All of my friends avoided me too. However, I learned from the experience. I could have died, but the Lord spared my life. He was always there, and the Holy Spirit comforted me.
I hope that your Dad heals soon and gets saved through this. For details, just ask anytime.

Prayerful for your Dad,

Health and Happiness

PS:

When someone is struggling, it sometimes takes others to help get their feet back on the ground. I'm glad you are there for him and asking us for prayer.
🙂🙏

I prayed that God would somehow bring something good from the tragedy. A little bit of wisdom from the experience and a closer walk with the Lord were valuable outcomes.
One thing that I took consolation in most was that I had the honor of leading my Dad to Christ before he died.

The Lord taught me much one night when I was laying in bed at maybe 4AM suffering and focussing on the situation, asking Him for help. A miracle happened.
I heard water running and so I had to figure out where it was coming from.
I found that He or His angel pulled off a brazed penny that Dad sealed a drain valve with on the copper plumbing decades earlier. There was no way the pressure spiked enough or could have happened coincidentally. That was there to stay and the Lord kindly brought comfort in a most unusual way. He made me turn off the main line, clean up the water and figure out how to fix it. It was a simple fix. He helped me find the special part right away. Afterwards I felt a lot better and was able to sleep soundly. He helped me then, but also taught me a valuable lesson.
How cool was that?

I think we might all bump into God more often if we realized He is a near and present help. John 17:3

Amen!
For sure.
Even this morning He answered a prayer.
One of the town employees was close to damaging my trees with digging equipment. and the mayor came straight over and made sure all their work would avoid problems.
It went so well that I believe The Lord intervened.

If we are created to glorify God and enjoy Him forever it seems unlikely we can do that without experiencing Him. I can't remember who said it but I believe they are correct: "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.

May your father turn to the lord and find strength in his time of need.
