Answer 10 questions about yourself

1 - What are your hobbies or things you do for fun?
Music, computers, music, video games, maybe a little music on the side.
2 - Growing up, were you closer to your father or mother? Is it the same now?
Mom made me clean my room. Dad stashed chocolate bars in his truck, knowing full well we would sneak out there and get a piece. Guess.
3 - What are some of your favorite movies or books?
Anne McCaffrey's dragonrider series and brainship series were pretty good.
4 - Name something on your bucket list.
Kicking it someday. Aside from that, just seeing what life brings.
5 - Do you think the child you would be satisfied with who you have grown up to be? Why or why not?
I have no idea if he would be satisfied with me, but I sure am disappointed in him. He should have learned to play piano long ago.
6 - Share a happy memory.
Literally any family dinner ever. My family is pretty much all fairly cool, and family dinners are very entertaining.
7 - Name something you like about yourself.
I'm a nerd, which can be downright useful sometimes.
8 - What are you thankful for?
Mangoes. And avocados. Chocolate definitely. Sugar snap peas are pretty good too. Scallops are nice. I could go on and on about this one.
9 - What is your relationship like with the Lord right now?
As the old song says, I'm not where I want to be, I'm not where I'm gonna be, but thank God I'm not where I was.
10 - In 20 years, what do you think you will be most nostalgic about?
Cables. I am so going to miss cables. Everything is wireless, and we keep looking for more things we can make wireless. There is something reassuring about the snap of a cable connecting. You know that connection is solid, a hardware connection that is dependable in a way you can never count on with wireless. If power fails, that connection is still solid and will still work when power is restored. You don't have to reestablish it every time. You don't have to worry about it dropping out unexpectedly.

Answer 10 questions about yourself

1 - What are your hobbies or things you do for fun?

When I'm by myself, I really don't have any hobbies or things that I do for fun. When I'm with my children or a woman, then I enjoy outdoor activities. Things like going to Fair and Festivals, visiting zoos, snow tubing, etc., etc.

2 - Growing up, were you closer to your father or mother? Is it the same now?

I don't know that I could honestly say that I was close to either one of them. I was number 8 out of 9 children, so I spent more time with my siblings than with my parents. Also, my parents split when I was twelve. Now? Both of my parents are deceased.

3 - What are some of your favorite movies or books?

My favorite movies would be "God's Outlaw: The story of William Tyndale" and probably "The Encounter". Both are Christian-themed movies. I do also like to watch good Rom-Coms or Romance movies. Yeah, I'm a softie for love. The only book that I've read for more than the last 30 years is the King James Version of the Bible.

4 - Name something on your bucket list.

Other than things that I'd like to accomplish for God, I really only have one thing on my bucket list:

Walking hand in hand with a nice, peaceful woman as we do something together that we both enjoy doing.

5 - Do you think the child you would be satisfied with who you have grown up to be? Why or why not?

Yes and no. Yes in relation to certain aspects of my character. No in the sense of my accomplishments...especially in relation to things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

6 - Share a happy memory.

Other than things related to the Lord, my happiest memories begin with the births of my three children.

7 - Name something you like about yourself.

That I'm honest and not the least bit pretentious...even though several people here view me otherwise.

8 - What are you thankful for?

What Christ has done for me, and the sacrifices that men of old made to put the word of God into peoples' common languages. I'm also thankful for the "ignore" button here, and I'm not joking. Certain people here are simply incorrigible.

9 - What is your relationship like with the Lord right now?

Hmmm? That's a tough one to answer. On the one hand, I believe that I'm more sanctified now than I ever was before, so I'm happy about that. On the other hand, however, I'm definitely not as fruitful as I once was, and that concerns me greatly.

10 - In 20 years, what do you think you will be most nostalgic about?

The only things from the past that I ever really think about are my interactions with God and people. I really don't care about the things of this world, so I don't know that I'll be nostalgic about anything.

Answer 10 questions about yourself

1 - What are your hobbies or things you do for fun?
I enjoy reading. I'm not a cook by any means but I enjoy cooking and grilling.

2 - Growing up, were you closer to your father or mother? Is it the same now?
I was much closer to my Mom than I was my Dad. Now it's more my Dad than Mom. I think that's because of his health issues.

3 - What are some of your favorite movies or books?
The original Star Wars trilogy was my favorite. The new movies left such a bad taste that I can't even watch the originals anymore. In my older years, I really liked the Jason Bourne movies. As far as non-biblical books, I like military/political type books, The Red Storm series being my favorite.

4 - Name something on your bucket list.
I don't know anymore, I'm just taking life as it comes.

5 - Do you think the child you would be satisfied with who you have grown up to be? Why or why not?
As a child, I had no clue what I was going to do when I grew up. I think the child would be very surprised by where I am now.

6 - Share a happy memory.
The birth of each of my kids.

7 - Name something you like about yourself.
I'm spite of everything, I've made it this far.

8 - What are you thankful for?
I am thankful for family, friends, and the events both good and bad that have brought me to where I am now.

9 - What is your relationship like with the Lord right now?
Well, you always want it to be better and closer. That I may know Him and His ways...

10 - In 20 years, what do you think you will be most nostalgic about?
Books, old cars and trucks, Coffee brewed over an open fire, bread made in a dutch oven, and old friendships.

Answer 10 questions about yourself

1 - What are your hobbies or things you do for fun?
I don’t really have any hobbies - which makes me sound like a boring person but, I do like music, hanging with family, friends, my dogs, driving randomly to places outside my town, visiting new places to eat, lol and if I’m honest I like sleeping.

2 - Growing up, were you closer to your father or mother? Is it the same now?
Growing up I was close to my mother for sure. My dad was those oldschool men who didn’t really say much to us kids and never invested time into us because he’d work, be tired when he’d come home, eat then sleep. We were much close with my mum as a result of that, however over the years as we became older and adults we’ve started to build a stronger relationship with my dad. I can say now, we are much closer.

3 - What are some of your favorite movies or books?
I’m not much of a reader but when I do, I prefer to read biographies or testimonies. One of my favs is called The Heavenly Man by Brother Yun - it’s a powerful testimony about a Chinese Christian man who God used to save people in the 70’s, there’s one part in the book I recall that Yun was arrested for having on him a bible and was sent to jail. God literally told him to walk out of the high security jail and he did! Definitely recommend. Movies? Again i like movies that have meaning/inspirational or good messages associated to it; Remember the Titans, Lean on Me, American Me, Mississippi Burning, and many others.

4 - Name something on your bucket list.
I actually don’t have a bucket list but now this question makes me want to think of writing one 🫣😂

5 - Do you think the child you would be satisfied with who you have grown up to be? Why or why not?
Yes - because growing up I could have chosen “my way” of how things could have played out, which is gangs and organised crime. God has had covering over me which I am very blessed for.

6 - Share a happy memory.
My sweet dog who passed away in 2020 🥺 all his memories with me and my family.

7 - Name something you like about yourself.
I like that I can speak another language aside from English.

8 - What are you thankful for?
The gift of Life through God’s grace and mercy.

9 - What is your relationship like with the Lord right now?
Now? I know it could be better with the Lord, and by all means I am not perfect but I like to try, which is why it’s important for me to surround myself with Christ like minded people such as yourselves as well as my own family and church network.

10 - In 20 years, what do you think you will be most nostalgic about?
People who have come into my life, made positive and spiritual impacts and have since moved onto being with the Lord 💛

1 - What are your hobbies or things you do for fun?
Creative writing is a big hobby for me—I’ve been writing stories since I was twelve years old. I also enjoy playing video games.

2 - Growing up, were you closer to your father or mother? Is it the same now?
I have always been and am to this day very close with both. They are extremely supportive and kind people—I’m very grateful to have them as parents.

3 - What are some of your favorite movies or books?
I love the Lord of the Rings films, a lot of Disney, and some of Marvel. For books, well—I’m not much of a reader. It’s pretty difficult for me to sit down with a book and enjoy it.

4 - Name something on your bucket list.
Be able to take care of my parents if they ever have that need. They’ve always been there for me no matter what. I want to make sure I can support them the way they have supported me.

5 - Do you think the child you would be satisfied with who you have grown up to be? Why or why not?
I would say yes because I have no regrets. A lot of mistakes, a lot of surprises—but no regrets. Not that I couldn’t find things to regret if I wanted, but I choose to look at every wrong turn as a detour instead. It took me longer to get to where I wanted to be, and I’m still getting there, but I became the person I am today through the process. There’s nothing to regret about that.

6 - Share a happy memory.
Today I spent the afternoon with relatives and my parents. We played some games, hung out—it was just a fun, relaxed time with family. That qualifies as a happy memory in my book!

7 - Name something you like about yourself.
My ability to enjoy the small things in life and appreciate what I have, even if it might seem insignificant to others.

8 - What are you thankful for?
God’s grace and patience, my family, my life, and lest I forget—coffee.

9 - What is your relationship like with the Lord right now?
A perpetual work in progress. I don’t think I will ever get to where I want to be in my relationship with Jesus, but we’re working on it together. At any rate, I feel closer to Him than ever.

10 - In 20 years, what do you think you will be most nostalgic about?
My twenties, probably. And for the opposite reason than perhaps one might think: it’s been a challenging decade for me. I will be nostalgic because I will look back on all the hard work and effort I put into becoming a better person and enriching my life. I look forward to getting older, but I’m glad for what I’ve had to learn in these trying years.

Coloring, gardening, sewing, cooking, playing games. When in Florida, loved swimming.

They are both deceased.

3 - What are some of your favorite movies or books?
Love movies, love any book I can hold.

4 - Name something on your bucket list.
To see all 50 states - even though I am not rich or a military kid I only have 12 states to go.

5 - Do you think the child you would be satisfied with who you have grown up to be? Yes
Why or why not?
Even though my life turned out to be much different than what I had planned I feel as though I am where I am supposed to be.

6 - Share a happy memory.
God helping me and a friend of mine to buy a home church in another country for $2,000.00 in 5 weeks helping me to ask for donations and even getting more money than we needed to be able to send Bibles there also. I gave up paying for a parking space to pay the salary of a lay pastor for that home church for about two years. I think he only got paid about $35 or $40 a month to do it. I believe it was in Moldova if memory my is correct. I was amazed at God working so fast and all the people that donated money for the cause. I was a single mom at the time with a young daughter and my girlfriend and I felt moved to say yes when they asked people to buy home churches and God did this for us. He will move when you are willing to move for and with Him.

7 - Name something you like about yourself.
For the most part I am a happy person. Determined as well and when I put my mind to it I will get it done. My first husband and I bought our first house at the ages of 18 and 19.

That God explained what salvation was to me at the age of 56. Even though I had gone to church from a young age and then was in and out of church because I always felt lost He stuck with me until I got it and understood it.

9 - What is your relationship like with the Lord right now?
I feel so distant and stagnant, but I have to continue to believe that God still holds me in the palm of His hand and will get me where I need to be.

10 - In 20 years, what do you think you will be most nostalgic about?
Just being happy with the life I have lived and knowing that God loves me and never gave up on me.
