"The Dispensation of GRACE - Prophecy Or Mystery?...

...We have often insisted that while the prophets “testified beforehand the
sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow,” they knew nothing of the
present period of Grace which lies between our Lord’s suffering and His kingdom
glory.

“The dispensation of the Grace of God,” we read in Ephesians 3, was “a Mystery”
only made known “by Revelation” to Paul, some years after the rejected Christ
had Returned to heaven. In verse 5 he says that “in other ages” it was “not
made known.” In verse 8 he calls it “the Mystery...

...there are still thousands of sincere believers who do not see this. They think
that the prophets predicted the reign of Grace as well as the reign of Christ.
Thus they lose some of the joy of that Great Surprise of Grace which God
Planned...

...Ask the average believer what the Bible word “Grace” means, and he will
doubtless reply “unmerited favor.” Actually, however, Grace is much more
than this. Subjectively, it is that loving attitude...Objectively...

Yes brother, the grace of GOD towards us is quite extraordinary and reflects his great love for us. The concept of grace is also found in the old testament and in many other verses through the bible. a good search with a bible software ( i use e sword) or biblehub.com will reveal much.

Blessings and Peace,

JF

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:4-

that the prophets predicted the reign of Grace as well as the reign of Christ.
One there is no "reign of grace" it is the reign of Christ and he does so in his grace and mercy. And yes the prophets of Old did speak of his grace.
"
Then will the eyes of the blind be opened
and the ears of the deaf unstopped.
Then will the lame leap like a deer,
and the mute tongue shout for joy.
Water will gush forth in the wilderness
and streams in the desert” (Isaiah 35:5–6).

“Here is my servant, whom I uphold,
my chosen one in whom I delight;
I will put my Spirit on him,
and he will bring justice to the nations.
He will not shout or cry out,
or raise his voice in the streets.
A bruised reed he will not break,
and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.
In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
he will not falter or be discouraged
till he establishes justice on earth.
In his teaching the islands will put their hope” (Isaiah 42:1–4).

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners” (Isaiah 61:1)

“Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place” (Daniel 9:24).

“Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion!
Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you,
righteous and victorious,
lowly and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey” (Zechariah 9:9).

“For I will pour water on the thirsty land,
and streams on the dry ground;
I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring,
and my blessing on your descendants” (Isaiah 44:3)

If one understands grace then they see his grace in all of the above.

I agree that grace is much more than merited favor. Grace is his presence among us for our benefit.

I am not 'name calling'.
C R Stam was a false teacher.
Just look at the teachings of Mid-Acts Dispensationalism.

I researched it, dispentionalism , it is certainly a false doctrin. I am so sorry to see all these people follow false doctrins that can be disproved through the words of our Glorious Lord Jesus christ the Mesiah who came in the flesh to save us. Jesus is the only way.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Joh 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Peace,

In what way is dispensationalism a false doctrine?
What is your definition of dispensationalism?
The 'sine qua non' of dispensationalism are...

1) A dispensationalist keeps Israel and the Church separate.

2) This distinction between Israel and the Church is born out of
a system of hermeneutics that is usually called literal interpretation.

3) The underlying purpose of God in the world is the glory of God.

Where is this false?

Simply put, the rapture.

I have talked on the phone with some of the followers of Stam. I have come to believe they are putting too much emphasis on the teachings of Paul alone and even Paul in 1 Cor. 3 admonishes us to not overemphasize any individual but to look to the work of Jesus.

GRACE And Peace...
Grace really is merited favor rather than the unmerited favor that has been used across the centuries.

Grace by Paul's words were only a mystery to the sons of men and not a mystery to the chosen elect of God.

Eph 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

It is critical to understand who is son of man and who is a son of God.

All the believers of faith in Hebrews 11 were sons of God and not of man and thus this grace was not a mystery to them.

Gen_6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Exo_33:12 And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.

Jer_31:2 Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

Left of the sword means - those who were not killed by the sword.
