Cats, dogs, rabbits are liked among people. Cats can be safe in the front yard, dogs in the backyard and rabbits safe in the house.
I heard this story before and it was true. This woman had gotten up from her sleep, she had a door camera with a recorder, she saw on her recorder that a woman stole her cat and put it in the car and drove off.

The recorder couldn't pick up the license. Anyone can take the opportunity to steal your pet so they can bring it home.

What do you think of this petnapping issue? How do you think the person feels when their pet was stolen?
Would you think the petnapper could at least ask the owner to but the animal?

Think about how the animal feels losing their owner and home.

Howdy troopofthelord and welcome to the forum.

I can't believe anyone who steals a pet is an animal lover. If you actually care about animals you don't do that to them.

Caveat: If the pet is being neglected/starved/abused I can see stealing him for his own sake.

Alot of the expensive breeds tend to get stolen so that they can either sell them or breed them.
I would be most upset if someone had stolen my cat when I had her.

Barbecued kitty is awesome...a bit like rabbit.

I have a great recipe using a "medium black dog" from Korea that I'm itching to try....it's supposed to be a stew of sorts.

Imagine if someone stole someones prized male cat and used it to breed with their cat and then brought it back with one of the kittens and an IOU note.

Can't serve any meat that hasn't been USDA inspected....

I once worked in a high end restaurant that served game and exotic meat. Lions and tigers and bears oh my!

But even those meats were farm raised and inspected that we sold....have to be.

Deer, rabbit, partridge, and etc. All farm raised and VERY expensive.

How do you even get into the business of raising tigers for meat? o_O

How does the taste of farm raised deer compare to the taste of the deer uncle Jack shot yesterday in the woods?

Actually farm raised game meats are more mild tasting than wild.

Venison is especially much more mild.

I usually used the loin or tenderloins. We made a stew out of the shoulder and it tasted great but kept forgetting to put it on the menu until it went bad....it was a lot of work too.

Lions and tigers? Way too gamey even when farm raised for my taste...but people like them just the same.

All these game meats are not for those with thin wallets or credit cards with small limits. We are talking hefty tabs for a dinner. What your uncle shot and butchered was high dollar fare if the meat was good and mild.

I have had a pets stolen. These were pets that I had most of and half of my life. They were a blessings to many people, but we're snatched away when I turned my back a few minutes. There are many thieves. The Bible has laws against this. American law rarely addresses this as the punishment is improper and few want to investigate or prosecute.

King David even empathized with the prophet's illustration of such a crime. He called for the death of the man who stole the little lamb from the poor man.

A family in our neighborhood had their FFA rabbits stolen, a couple years ago, in the middle of the night. I always figured it was probably a hungry homeless person as the incident happened very close to a church that had turned their parking lot into a homeless camp.

I've wondered, before, if my chickens are safe. Wouldn't take much for someone to notice and try to liberate them for their dinner. But our dogs are usually on patrol and not many would be brave enough to mess with them. I mean, I can see one of those little dogs getting snatched by a thief but nobody's gonna try to run off with my big dogs. lol.
