Ezekiel 28
Prophecy against the Prince of Tyre
Verse 1. The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
Make sure that you keep this in mind as we read this; Who's word is this? The Lords. Ezekiel is writing as God is speaking.
Verse 2.Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart
is lifted up, and thou hast said, I
am a God, I sit
in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou
art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:
Tyrus in the Hebrew means rock. Not our rock but there rock. Who is the false rock Satan. His heart is lifted up He is proud, He has said I am God, I set in the seat of God. What does God say to Him “to Me you are but a man you may thank you are more but you are not. I have already sentenced you to death.” The man of sin will exalt himself above all that is called God, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4.
Verse 3. Behold, thou
art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:
Danial was 10 times wiser than any of king Nebuchadnezzar's wise men and magicians
This show just how wise he is and he knows the scriptures and will twist them just a bit to throw you off. You must be trained up in the word. For Satan is looking to make a meal of your soul.
1st Peter 5:6 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Verse 4.With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:
It is through his cunning and deceitful ways that he “Satan” will be able to come in at the end as Danial says in 8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify
himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
Verse 5. By thy great wisdom
and by thy traffic hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:
By his great wisdom his trading, buying, selling and deception. He will become the richest, person in the world richer than the nations. This is how he will be able to step in heal the deadly wound bring everyone together around him. He will be saying I have come to pay off all your debts, money for everybody, a T Bone on every grill, the car of your dreams in the driveway of your free home; and all you have to do is follow after me.
Verse 6. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God; Because you have said I am God.
Remember just who we are talking about here. We are talking about the Devil, Satan, Lucifer. There was a time when He tried to over throw the throne of God. We will get into that in a bit; just keep it in mind.
Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!
How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
O Morning Star,
הֵילֵ֣ל (
hê·lêl)
Noun - masculine singular
Strong's Hebrew 1966: Lucifer = 'light-bearer' 1) shining one, morning star, Lucifer 1a) of the king of Babylon and Satan (fig.) 2) (TWOT) 'Helel' describing the king of Babylon
All of this is taking place on earth during the last days before the return of Christ.
Revelation12:
7And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12Therefore rejoice,
ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
