Also, as all of us read God’s Word, I pray God would give each of us ears to hear what the Spirit is saying, in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen. 
i am bothered when questions like this appear and we get copy/paste Scripture for answers. yes, we do have the Holy Word of God, but we should have more than that. we should have a Testimony from being a Witness to what we have seen and experienced in our Walk in God. for me, each time i Witness and it becomes a Testimony, which happens many times throughout my life and continues, i am more assured and convinced of Who Yeshua is to me.
if i never had the Word of God but only had my experiences, He would be to me:

my Best Friend
my only Hope

When Jesus would teach a parable and at the end say…. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying.”…. Do you think your response was the same as theirs?
