I think it can be hard to find someone on the same path as you to walk with
You could ask them when they got saved and what their testimony is. If they got saved around the same time as you, your paths may have crossed at some point.
He was baptized at the age of 9 at a Baptist church, with his friend who was the PK. In his teens, he was confirmed in the Lutheran church with another friend. Then in his 20's briefly attended a Catholic church with is former spouse. He didn't start attending church again (non-denominational) until he met me. I know he listens and is learning. I had a similar path where I became a believer and was baptized young, fell away in my teens, and then the Lord called me back in my 20's. After that it was another long journey of more hills and valleys. Some self inflicted battle scars, but so thankful He truly never does leave or forsake those who are His. I know we all do not learn on the same level. I could be experiencing some of that patience training I prayed for years ago.
Thank you MsMediator for reminding me about the fruit of the spirit. I didn't forget about it, but I'm sensing the Lord is using others to remind me of it and how good character does speak volumes. Which is what he does have and has even taught me a few things. I think my issue has been that he and I are not on the exact same level and that is something I need to let go of. I do have friends I can have biblical/spiritual conversations with. He also has watched some christian movies/documentaries with me. I didn't mean to come across as though he's not interested at all. I should have worded my initial question differently. I guess it's just not the level of interest of what I had hoped. I have a feeling I'm being taught some more lessons.
