So many people haven’t understood what Faith is all about so they imitate others; but Faith is not imitation. And it is impossible to please GOD without Faith. It is only through Faith that we please GOD. Glory be to GOD ALMIGHTY. The Holy Spirit will help us simplify the meaning of Faith so that we can understand it perfectly well.
For it is written, “Now Faith is the assurance of things hope for, the conviction of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).”
Faith comes from hearing, and hearing the Word of GOD. GOD and HIS Word in the Bible are ONE. Have Faith in GOD. Have Faith in the Word of GOD.
Faith is a Heart that believes in GOD.
Faith is a Heart that trusts in GOD.
Faith is a Heart that depends on GOD.
Faith is a Heart that relies on GOD.
Faith is a Heart that obeys GOD.
Faith is a Heart that knows who GOD is. GOD is Faithful, Trustworthy, Reliable, Perfect, Merciful, Good, Love, Righteous and Holy.
Faith is a Heart that obeys GOD.
For example, look at the ten Lepers who met JESUS CHRIST on His way to Jerusalem. The ten lepers lifted up their voices and said, “JESUS, MASTER, have mercy on us.” When HE saw them HE said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. Because the Lepers obey the Words of JESUS CHRIST, they were healed.
Take note, they were healed because of their obedience. And JESUS CHRIST reckoned this as Faith, as it is written, “Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising GOD with a loud voice; and fell on his face at JESUS feet, giving HIM thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. Then said JESUS, ‘Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to GOD except this foreigner?’ And HE said to him, ‘Rise and go your way; your Faith has made you well (Luke 17:11-19).”
Faith is a Heart that knows who GOD is. GOD is Faithful, Trustworthy, Reliable, Perfect, Merciful, Good, Love, Righteous and Holy.
For example, the Centurion whose servant was sick was a man who knows who GOD is that’s why when JESUS was far from his house, he sent friends to HIM, saying to HIM, “LORD, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof; therefore I did not presume to come to you. But say the Word, and let my servant be healed.......” JESUS CHRIST reckoned this to him as Faith when HE said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such Faith (Luke 7:1-9).”
Now, look at Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who knows who GOD is. Listen to what they said to King Nebuchadnezzar when he threatens to cast them into a burning fiery furnace if they do not worship the golden image which he has made. They said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If it be so, our GOD whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace; and HE will deliver us out of your hand, O King. But if not, be it known to you, O King, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up (Daniel 3:16-18).” This is Faith. Because they have Faith in GOD ALMIGHTY, HE saved and delivered them from the fire and they were not hurt.
Faith is a Heart that believes in GOD.
For example, the woman with the flow of blood for twelve years believed that if she could only touch the garment of JESUS CHRIST, she would be healed. She did so and she was healed of her infirmity and JESUS CHRIST reckoned this to her as Faith when HE said, “Take heart, daughter; your Faith has made you well (Matt 9:22).”
Faith is a Heart that depends on GOD.
For example, Abraham depends on GOD for everything he needs that’s why he didn’t hold back his son Isaac for a burnt offering when GOD asked him to do so (Genesis 22:1-2). Again, when his son Isaac asked him, “...Where is the lamb for a burnt offering? Abraham said, ‘GOD will provide HIMSELF the lamb for a burnt offering, my son’ (Genesis 22:7-8).” Abraham was a man of Faith.
Faith is a Heart that relies on GOD.
For example, the Canaanite Woman relies totally on JESUS CHRIST to heal her daughter who was possessed by a demon. Because she relies totally on JESUS to heal her daughter, so what the disciples said to her and what JESUS HIMSELF said to her didn’t discouraged her or made her angry to move away from JESUS. She said to JESUS, “LORD, help me.” And JESUS answered, “It is not fair to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.” She said, “Yes, LORD, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” JESUS CHRIST reckoned this to her as Faith when HE said, “O woman, great is your Faith! Be it done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed instantly (Matt 15:22-28).
Faith is a Heart that trusts in GOD.
For example, the Centurion trust in GOD totally and he knows that whatever GOD says, it will come to reality. So when JESUS said to him that HE will come and heal his servant who was sick but he answered him, “LORD, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof; but only say the Word and my servant will be healed.......” JESUS CHRIST reckoned this to him as Faith when HE said, “Truly, I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such Faith (Matt 8:5-10).”
You can now clearly see and understand that Faith is a Heart that obeys GOD, trusts in GOD, believes in GOD, depends on GOD, relies on GOD, and knows who GOD is.
