This is a bit weird

I'm a Christian (obviously) but my faith is riddled with doubt and uncertainty, and when I see those so-called 'healings' at certain Pentecostal churches, I shake my head and feel shame and embarrassment for all concerned.

However...

For ten days or so my left arm had been aching. It was a constant ache and the only respite was in sleep. I tried three different kinds of pain-killing tablets but none of them worked. I was at my wits' end.

This morning in desperation I cried out, 'God, please take this pain away from me!' An hour later the pain had vanished. I was in shock. Did God actually hear my cry and take action? Or was the pain due to end anyway of its own accord? I really don't know what to think!

After all that, no such thing as coincidence.

There's a lot of hostility here you'll notice. Pentecostalism is one target, Calvinism another,whether someone is actually Calvinist, and a league against Eternal Salvation.

Don't be discouraged by those. God heard you. Be encouraged by that. God has no denomination. Not even Christian.😉 ✝️💕

Yes, I agree with your judgement that what is on display in the pentecostal assemblies is counterfeit/fake, but what appears to have happened to you is real. Don't join in the pentecostal or any other cult, separate yourself from that and go after His voice, and you will be saved.

Trust me on this: Pain does not end of its own accord. In order for pain to end, whatever the cause for the pain had to have been addressed.

Maybe, just maybe, God heard your plea, and decided to show you what He can do when you stand strong in faith and turn to Him! Were I you, I would work hard to grow in faith, and learn to trust God!

Now, regarding those Televangelists healing people on command......yeah, I don't put much faith in them. Had a friend years back who was a musician that worked with three of the best known Televangelists, and he used to laugh and tell me he could show me how they did what they did. Especially the part where they touch a persons forehead and that persons hits the floor..........AND WALLA! is healed.......he laught a lot over that.

Don't know why you are watching those guys anyway. Trust me on this as well, you will grow stronger and deeper in your faith spending that time reading your Bible and in prayer........ God bless

Christian defined is simply someone who believes in and follows Jesus the Christ. You know, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity. Your saying God doesn't recognize Christians as HIS PEOPLE?

That's true.

Christianity isn't a denomination. It's a description of the church of God and the way they conduct their lives. They emulate Jesus in attitudes and behaviour, and are therefore the true followers of the Christ of God. They have been born again.

A Christian is a member of that church, which is also referenced in the Bible as the church of Christ. These names of this one true church should not be confused with the religious organisations that have adopted them as their own names.

God alone adds members to His church, and they have no denominational label or bias. No denomination, or pseudo denomination, has come from God. 🙂

There are false healings / brainwashing sessions carried out by false preachers..

But that does not mean that The Holy Spirit does not heal Christians anymore.. I have never been to a penticostal church but i have taken part in healing 3 people during the times since i became a Christian.. So i believe without a doubt that healing in these times by the power of the Holy Spirit can and is done on occasions.. It is by the will of God not because someone has the power to heal.. I believe God has the power and heals through us..

I don't know what you've seen on TV, but God does still heal people. From what I've heard about what you see on TV, it's nothing like what is on TV.

All a miracle is, is God doing something. All that happens when we pray for a miracle is we ask God to do something.

We don't command God, we don't order Him around, we don't do a certain ritual to make God do anything and we certainly don't rack up "miracle points" by being good little Christians and then cash them in at God's miracle vendor counter. We just ask God to do something. Sometimes He does it. Sometimes what we ask goes against what He wants to do, so He doesn't do it.

Yes miracles are real. They're not on demand though. They're on request.

I had a similar experience about 2yrs ago and the lord did show up for me but for me it was belly pain. It is one of the stories I tell about the faithfulness of God. If you are a true Christian and you live your life the best you can in obedience of his word, these seemingly miraculous happens will be regular occurences.

"Therefore in Christ Jesus, I have found reason for boasting in the things pertaining to GOD (Romans 15:17)

Christian is what a person who is of the Christian FAITH is called. Christians are who make up the Church. I agree that in heaven, there are no man made denominations, however Christianity is certainly the FAITH in heaven, for it is God who established Christianity.

God answers prayers.

John 9:31 We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, God listens to him.

I think I was writing to a believer (one justified by Christ) as one also Justified by Christ. So I didnt think it necessary to discuss those who arent Justified by Christ.
The simple statement, "God answers prayers", is just for us, not the wicked.
I have witnessed Him answer prayers.

Who are the wicked? How did they get that way? When did it occur?

Give God the credit I don't think he'll mind😂

He will use anyone, anywhere, anytime, to do His will.
He will even manifest in a service that is suspect.
I always ask Holy Spirit to come when I am in a church service, He always does, He keeps His promises.

God does heal.... I've got story to tell... a few years ago I almost died because of blood loss the doctor who checked on me was scared and asked me to go to a big hospital and go to the emergency room directly or else I might collapse already...They gave me something not sure what it was in the emergency... did some tests and asked me to prepare for a blood transfusion... While I was in my room feeling scared that night I was crying and asking God to take care of me...I am in a foreign land no family beside me.

So in the morning they again checked up on me and tested me...while getting ready for my blood transfusion around noon I got a good news from my doctor she said you don't need to do the blood transfusion anymore she said all goes back to normal already...I was like wow! Praise God 👏 your red blood cells,your heartbeat,pulse your blood pressure everything the doctor said 🥺🙏🏻😇❤

The humility? It looks like that is a key as well, He knows our heart.
