New member here! I've been a born-again Christian since 1974 (I know, old guy!) I worked in broadcast TV and radio for almost 40 years. I'm retired now and spend most of my time studying the Bible and taking pictures using my Canon EOS R5s, Nikon Z7II, and Sony A6500s for underwater work. I have been a certified SCUBA diver since 1985, and specialize in underwater photography, but I also do birds, landscapes, and portraits (both people and animals).

I was baptized as an infant into the Roman Catholic Church, re-baptized as an American Baptist when I was 12, then re-re-baptized again when I was 26 because - by that time - I understood what it meant. I have traveled in and through many denominational and non-denominational churches in my faith journey, including Pentecostal, Missionary Alliance, Roman Catholic, Methodist, Baptist, and Lutheran. All have given me a well-rounded view of scripture and, more importantly, the understanding that no one is perfect, we are all saved by grace, and all worthy of respect because of what Christ has done for us.

There's a lot more I could write, but I think you'll get to know what I believe better as I engage in discussions in the forums. :)

Hello Serling, your introduction is very interesting. I too am scuba certified (Padi) but I have never taken up underwater photography. But I wish I had. We have seen some beautiful reefs; off Belize, Great Barrier Reef, Cook Islands and others.

Our family is Moravian, a protestant denomination predating Luther by 75 years beginning in 15th century central Europe. But I don't believe there are any denominations in Heaven- only those who love God.

As to your age, you are young compared to others here and me. We are delighted that you have joined us and look forward to getting to know you in the forums. Welcome and may God bless you. :)

A warm welcome to ya, brother Serling!
Is that a photo of a bittern? Very nice. :)

It is nice how you got baptized when you knew what it meant. We are so blessed. (y)

Sterling,

Here is your mission. Drive to this gulf course with a tracker and gator wrangler of good reputation. Take your kit. Find this beast and get close ups with measures. If I lived there, I'd camp out on weekends around this course. Accurate measurements are "easy" if you know how.

No hazing in this forum, but you have to answer a Bible question to be a member.
Where in the Bible do you find a description of a dinosaur. ( No search engines.)
If you don't have the answer, you've got to wrestle that alligator.
