Jesus also gave the name Comforter to describe the Holy Spirit.
John 14:
16 I will ask the Father, and He will give you [another Comforter] so He may be with you forever
17 the Spirit of truth
but notice this portion ([another Comforter])
Jesus was a Comforter that came in the Body and the Holy Spirit is also a Comforter that comes in the Spirit.
i find it interesting that the two languages God chose to transmit His word in, this equivalency of breath/wind/spirit is in both of them - especially looking at John 3 when The One who gives the Breath of Life says those who born of the Spirit are like the wind blowing where it will, so that you can hear it, but not know where it comes from or where it will go.
not every language is like that - i mean, obviously, in English we have different words for each concept.
i've long wondered how many other languages use the same word for all 3 - if any? but never taken the time to go digging around & find out
Yes thats the name in Hebrew. Saying "holy Spirit" is the same also. Like saying Jesus or Yeshua. Hes even shown up to some Muslims in Iran prisons "I am Jesus the way the truth and the life".
