I'am from Athens Greece. I am 59 years old an I really want to be connected with brothers and sisters who believe in the pure love that Christ has taught us when He prompted us to love one another. I very much appreciate voluntary work and help given to the poor and deprived of this live just as Christ commands us. I love crafting, painting, sewing, and taking long walks in nature.

Hello and welcome to our fellowship here at Christian Chat. We are glad to have a new member from Greece with us. Your name "Pelagi" relates to "the sea". Do you live near the sea?

I know the sea can get very rough near mainland Greece. Years ago I remember experiencing a severe storm in a boat near Mt. Athos. I felt like Jonah in the Bible. Question... Are women and female animals still not permitted on Mt. Athos and the peninsula?

So encouraging to be here. It's also hopeful that you do volunteer work having a homeless ministry. Any ideas of what can we offer to people these days when the sun is scorching? Do you do this by yourself? Sometimes scrolling down the city port I see people there sleeping on the bare benches and wonder what one can say to such a lonely person. How to help them in a way that can transform their life.
Thanks a lot for writing

Thanks a lot for having me, for welcoming me, happy to be here.
yes, the sea can get very rough at times. It's so wonderful that you felt like jonah in the Bible at least you learned something.
women are not allowed to enter the Mt. Athos, perhaps they will never be.

My name is lerated to the sea and that is wonderful and inspiring, but I don't live near the sea, in fact I live in the city of Athens. Lots's of noise at times far away from my so beloved sea.
