They haven't.

As I've said here before, I have no problem or beef with this website itself or its moderators.

That said, it is the pure word of God, when humbly received, that truly transforms us, and that's pretty much a rarity around here.

Just sayin'...

By and large there is no one who shares precisely the same theology I do.
BUT
That doesn't mean that I haven't found a precious few that I happen to think highly of. And the list of names is slowly growing. I've watched them and they behave consistently...their words and actions match. Unlike so many people who frequent the discussion forums. I'm not saying that any of us are perfect...except in Christ. We all are too aware of our own faults that for whatever reason we can't seem to fix.
And we are the motley crew...very motley. The ones that for whatever reason seem to actually have a relationship with God Unlike the many posers that abound. They are resolute and somehow actually uphold the principles their Heavenly Father wants.

And it keeps me from feeling so alone in my faith at times.
How can two travel together unless they agree?

A better Christian? I don't think that there is such a thing It's a incongruous question like what a color smells like.

There are those that know God and there are those that know about Him....you are either family or you aren't. And it's kinda sad in a way that those who know so much about Him either don't or can't join the family. I'm not sure of that answer...the fruits are the proof though.

What worries me the most is that God isn't going to put up with this nonsense for much longer...those that blaspheme His name. It's got a price tag...and it's terrible.

I'm been wrestling with the idea of leaving CC. I've been asking myself, is this place helping me to go up, or is it dragging me down. I might be happy before I login, but often times I'm no longer happy by the time I want to logout. I read stuff that frustrates me, and some of that stuff is directed right at me.

I've been sick for 5 days. For 5 days I couldn't make it to a computer. In some ways I felt better with the world.

I'd noticed that you hadn't been around. I know what you mean. We should sharpen each other's swords, not use them on each other.
I find the singles forum is usually kinder. Christian forums help...and they hurt. This is my experience. They may not be all they could be...they are what they are. I hope you're feeling better.
Father, I ask You in Jesus' name that by the power of Your Holy Spirit that You return my brother Seeking-Christ to health. I also ask that You'd help him in regards to his involvement on this forum. And fill him anew with Your Spirit. Amen.
2Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." - Ephesians 4:2-6 NIV

It has helped me find many false doctrines to steer away from. Every time I chat here I seem to learn something new. I’ve also learned what kind of Christian I want to be and don’t want to be.

I see this place as a bit like training grounds. You aren’t gonna get opportunities to grow thick skin with very many other groups of Christians. I think most Christians are a bit sheltered from this kind of environment. They come here and are normally shocked.

I rarely have left here in a bad mood.

"12 If an enemy were insulting me,
I could endure it;
if a foe were rising against me,
I could hide.
13 But it is you, a man like myself,
my companion, my close friend,
14 with whom I once enjoyed sweet fellowship
at the house of God,
as we walked about
among the worshipers." - Psalm 55:12-14

Hello @Seeking-Christ, CChat has helped me grow as a believer in Christ since I've been here, not only because I've been challenged to take another, closer look at many of the things that the Bible teaches us (because of the points that people have made and the questions that they've asked), but by continuing to give me the opportunity to regularly live out/be tested by verses like Matthew 7:12 (see it below in my signature line). This "testing" helps me understand where I am in my daily walk before the Lord.

I have also been able to witness others growing in their knowledge and understanding of God/the Bible/the Faith, and growing in Christlikeness as well, and that has certainly been a great inspiration/encouragement to me too :)

If you are sensing that you are burning out, a respite may be in order  Sometimes I have to walk away from forums like this one for short periods of time, and sometimes for longer periods instead (for months rather than days/weeks, IOW), especially if I begin to notice that I am not dealing with people in the loving/respectful/gentle way that the Lord has commanded us to (so you may want to try that, a short respite, that is, and see if that solves the problem for you :)).

Praying for you!

God bless you!!

~Deut
p.s. - as a bit of encouragement to come back from your respite as soon as you sense that you are being led to do so, here's a quote from Joni (if you don't know who she is, I believe that you will enjoy Googling her name and finding out :)(y) .. if you have the time).

I never knew what she looked like until this picture. I know her story....but didn't need to know the rest.

Excellent idea for a topic, @Seeking-Christ.

I have grown in that I more easily recognize the hardness that is in the hearts of certain individuals. Some, for example, just want to argue for the sake of being argumentative.

Others think they have the solution to other people’s problems when, in fact, they can’t see that they are in need of a remedy for their glaringly obvious issues.

I like the way Jesus addressed the matter in Matthew 7:3-5: Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, “Let me take the speck out of your eye,” when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

This Brother Kel video captures what I’m trying to convey: Mysteries of the Kingdom – Only those who can see.

I'm becoming part of the Rumble community. A mixture of believers and others. I seldom get a rude comment. I find some balance and laughs from listening to people like Jimmy Dore and Russell Brand. I'm diversifying so I don't get so stressed out here.
There's a world outside of churchianity full of all kinds of pleasant people. If you're stable enough in what you believe. I've found I can listen to orthodox Jews and learn things about the old testament that I would never learn here. I've also learned a lot from the book of Enoch. As long as it lines up with Genesis to Revelation. There are piles of poop along the way. I make sure I don't step in them.

I'm finding that I'm becoming rude, insensitive, and judgmental. Except for when I'm around people who treat me kindly and with respect. And don't jump down my throat every time I say something they don't agree with. Though I'm starting to see how jaded I'm becoming. I don't like it but...

Since encountering the over-used fear tactics employed to win arguments, this only reminds me that God considers the fear of man to be a snare and all the times He commands that I "fear not."

You probably mean these terms in the worst way but...
one of the definitions for rude is 'ignorant and uneducated' and the antonym is 'enlightened'
one of the definitions of insensitive is "thick-skinned," "resilient: tough," not "easily offended or upset"
and one of the definitions of judgmental is "judicious"

so, in the best way, being here has helped me to be all that and a bag of chips (that have no place on my shoulder anymore)

Oh, and CCF has also helped me to practice and exercise to strengthen the use of my "good" (and merciful) eye. ;)
