The earth certainly does not move or go around the Sun. This is even more clear in the Bible than the shape of the earth. The great thing about this topic is you are forced to pick to either believe men, even infidels who have done more wickedly than most others in all of history, or to believe the Bible and the God of the Bible.

Do you have a scripture for this statement?

That's right! Those who see and understand it for what it really is are not hypnotized by it.
Is there a point to these one off retorts? I don't see one

Besides, the earth is a spinning globe.

If you cannot understand that, no amount of discourse is going to change it

s'long for this thread

Science of Bible? Does the bible say that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west? Do we take this literally? Why or why not? From man's perspective or God's word?
You take it figuratively. This passage as well as many others in the bible uses descriptive terms that are readily understood. Actually, the rotation of the earth makes it appear that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. This isn't rocket science.

Sure

Psalm 19:1-7
1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

If it is flat what does it look like...? What is at the edges? How can light shine on one side and not the other?....

Scince makes sense and needs no long explaination to explain when we are a globe and rotate while spinning around the sun.

Flat earth needs a lot of doubtable explaination to make it all work.

I can’t tell if some of you are trolling or not but I also can’t believe that this is a thing in year 2022.
I agree. I can never understand how anyone could accept the nonsense of a flat earth. Since every observable star and planet in the universe is a sphere, why would anyone believe the earth is somehow a disk-shaped anomaly. Lol.
