When a doctrine has been around just long enough and becomes popular, its momentum carries itself onward for many years to come. We can think of some denominational traditions that are found no where in the Bible that have simply been around so long and have become so ingrained within their followers that you simply cannot jar the people out of adherence to them. The tradition's sheer popularity alone keeps it going without any need for biblical basis in many people's minds. In my opinion, this is precisely the case with the doctrine of Dispensationalism.

Yes, That would include every word that proceeds out of His mouth. yes? Are you somehow convinced that any modern translation is not God's word? I would think that takes the entire thread in another direction. Another poster seems to think you are a KJV onlyist.

That is your prerogative but why has God allowed other more modern translations that actually do show that the KJ is not perfect?

Some people actually do seem to believe that Jesus' words are not for them. They make no sense. Who do they believe Jesus actually is?

There are so many schisms in Christianity that you know were never encouraged by the Holy Spirit. Which, makes what is taught unbiblical in many cases.

As believers, we already have the Spirit. All we need is scripture.

Satan is the great copycat. He has always perverted the words of God even from the beginning.

Attributes of the Holy Spirit such as wisdom, knowledge, and power are manifested in the lives of believers for the good of others. More gifts are listed in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11.

You are right that the devil only copies and is not original.

But you are wrong if you believe the KJ is the only translation that God allows and everything else is demonic. Where would you learn or receive such teaching?

And the Scripture comes right back at you and says you need more........."It is written"

Testimony time = This week wen to buy a Bible for a old catholic friend who is not yet saved but believes in God. He is currently being drawn by the Lord.
Wanted a large print NKJ for him and purchased it. Later came home to find out it was a NIV.
The Spirit spoke to me (in my spirit) and said this was fine for the person to whom it was going to.

Now you can join in with the Holy Spirit and lift up prayer for him - his name is Ronnie.

Believers have the Spirit and we need the word. What else do we need to live for the Lord?

I don't think people today are very familiar with the language of the KJ. It is archaic and hard to understand in more than one place. I use the KJ sometimes but prefer a more modern translation myself.

I pray Ronnie does accept Christ and it's interesting how you thought you had purchased a KJ but it was another translation.

I was looking for a New Kings James Version which replaces the 'thee' and 'thou' with current English.
So when I noticed it was NIV and was going to return it, i stopped and prayed and was quickly comforted by the Holy Spirit that the NIV version was best for Ronnie.

When i was first saved i only read the KJ and then a few years later went to NKJ which i currently use.

FACT NO. 5—That we must understand the two-fold ministry of our
Lord Jesus Christ.

During His earthly ministry He ministered exclusively to Israel:


His whole ministry to the Nation was under the Law of Moses
(Matt. 5:17; Gal. 4:4-5). Christians are not under the Law so we
are not to live according to Israel’s teachings. During His present
ministry in Heaven, He is ministering according to what He
Revealed to the Apostle Paul.

He is saving men according to His gospel of Grace. He is at The Throne
Of Grace Making Intercession for us (Rom. 8:34). We are to live in Paul’s

It's remarkable what God can do, even through the haze of translation.

About 20 years ago a guy rebuked me for fornicating with a co-worker and bought me an NKJV -and said the same thing about it being "good enough" (idk what he would have preferred)- He ended up getting fired from the place we worked IIRC he said something that offended some homosexual co-workers. Getting "canceled" wasnt as common back then. I never saw him again, but I still have the bible. It's held together by duct tape now, though.

Dwell on this - Every lie that has, and will continue, from the mouth of satan has already been exposed by the LIGHT of the TRUTH in the WORD.

The Scripture is completely reliable for us who have the Holy Spirit.

Not so for religion = "You search the scriptures but they speak of ME" , says the LORD.
