There is a shrinkage of the amount of Christian people know in the UK. Unfortunately, the UK is more defined as 'non-religious' nowadays.
It is sad to see that only half of adults know a Christian; this just demonstrates how few Christians remain in the UK.
I strongly believe UK churches should engage in outreach more effectively. We have the C of E (Church of England), but unless you search for them, you barely hear anything from them.

I can only see this declining further in the future, but I pray Christians become a minority in a declining faithful society.

Please see the article below for more information.

Same in America. I've been a Christian my entire life and have only had a couple of people even ATTEMPT to give the Gospel. That's pretty much zero effort. Two attempts in 55 years? Even then, the "gospel" delivered to me was like a mud puddle . . . shallow and unclear. Everyone thinks they know what the Gospel is . . . but do they?

Last year I randomly picked four churches to email, asking them to explain the Gospel. I even suggested that they could just send me an article that outlined, perfectly, what the Gospel is. In all four cases, none of the pastors even had a written article they could forward.

Pathetic.

Not necessarily true. One of my American English teachers introduced me to Jesus, and then I slowly began to contact the Bible.

As the Bible says, I sowed seeds, and only God let the seeds grow.

It may only take a casual action. For example, have you seriously read the Bible? Do you know Jesus? The Bible is a book you must read.

Sometimes you don't need a speech about the Bible.

Uk church would be alive and well though it doesnt crow about itself unlike US churches it seems, most UK christians are fairly low key as is my experience and fly under the radar

Plenty of Believers.. many are not rainbow ideology accepting. So a great falling away from things people believe are immoral. One does not have to adhere to a denomination and all its custom to be a Christian believer. In the end there will be Believers that simply await His return knowing darkness is posing as Light. You can’t unite with the one world movement. Sadly too many wolves are in place and misleading people. Hold fast.

An evangelist said something once like "The lower the church goes, the world goes still". When the church refuses to preach the truth, then they are no different than a country club. Another said ""Preachers make pulpits famous, prophets make prisons famous." If we stood on the sidewalk and preached the truth today, we'd likely be in jail, even in America. What a pity, because people need to know the plain truth now more than ever.

Very Unfortunate. The Christian Faith once shone brightly in Britain, indeed for many centuries. Let us pray for the UK, that it may recover its former Faith in and Love for Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Christians should pray and work together in unison in Evangelism Efforts to bring society back to Christ. Apologetics is important in Evangelism also. We should share Messianic Prophecies, Resurrection Evidence, Personal Testimonies, Archeological discoveries that confirm the Bible etc. Many people today have a weak faith sadly.

Lord have Mercy.

The gospel needs to be preached everywhere. My father has ministered in prisons. I don't know if everyone is able to do that. But if you feel that calling, by all means, do so.

People don't come to churches or Christians for help or answers much anymore. We have to do better at reaching out to them, to get our hands dirty. Not in a pushy in your face way but we have to understand if we don't reach out they probably aren't going to reach out to us.

People don't come to us because we are well versed in politics, and sorely lacking in the understanding of the Word of God.

The UK needs Christian Unity and Christian Revival. Here is the Global situation in Christendom as a whole.

"The list includes the following Christian denominations: the Catholic Church including the Eastern Catholic Churches; all the Eastern Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox churches with some recognition and their offshoots; Protestant denominations with at least 0.2 million members; all the other Christian branches with distinct theologies, such as Restorationist and Nontrinitarian denominations; the independent Catholic denominations; and the Church of the East. With an estimated 2.42 or 2.3 billion adherents in 2015,[2][3][4] Christianity is the largest religious group in the world, and in 2020 there were about 2.6 billion adherents globally.[5]

I believe it's more than just a lack of understanding of God's word. People are interested in Jesus, they're just not interested in church. Unfortunately, for a long time all we've offered them is church. How could they not be blown away by our great pastor's oration, our band and light show, our coffee, or our support groups?

If Jesus is supposed to represent something different from the world, why do all the Christians and the churches look just like the world? Yeah, we need to be able to explain the gospel to them, but we also have to be willing to form relationships with them. Demonstrate to them that Jesus' disciples actually are different.

We need to demonstrate not only that we are different, but we also need to be able to explain how and why we are different. Until we understand God's Word, we are just another person who can quote a plan of salvation and hope someone accepts it.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that we need to understand God's Word to live it.

The new age movement in the future will be the religious operation in the world which interprets the Bible and all religions according to the occult and evolution and people are still evolving to be spiritual and godlike, and Jesus is not Lord and Savior but a good teacher in spiritual enlightenment and evolved to be an ascended master, and do not believe in a personal God but honor the God of forces or the power of nature as their higher power the evolutionary process, and the New Age Christ is the final teacher.

That is why they teach evolution in school.

When the New Age Christ starts working in the world he will push the agenda of the new age movement for three and one half years causing the world to rebel against God.

They have a new perspective on reality so they want to establish this reality in the world by a slow implementation until all nations governments are onboard with it so they will influence the people to go in that direction.

The 1960's counterculture movement was a great benefit to them for getting the people to start going in the direction of the new age movement.
