the point of initiating a conversation are numerous. for starters peoople migt not know it goes down from time to time. they may be worried its their equipment, so this might help em. Plus people may be bored, disappointed or lonely. This provides them with a place to talk. its just one of the many services i provide free of charge of course

A lot of the forum peeps have been members for years and there are always in-depth ongoing conversations on various topics in the threads. After a while you get to know a member very well and it is like responding to a family member or friend.. It seems to me that it would be problematic to start a conversation with a chat peep who is basically an unknown entity and will leave the forums as soon as the live chats are back up.
