sometimes we just need mercy when we are at our worst to give us peace

“And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, and stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

…And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. …And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭7:37-38, 48, 50‬ ‭KJV‬‬

sometimes they need atonement which they cannot make themselves

“I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”

‭‭John‬ ‭10:11‬ ‭

sometimes they need assurance that they will never be left behind and forsaken

“I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.”

‭‭John‬ ‭10:9, 28-30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Sometimes they need a father who loves them just for who they are

“for the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭16:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Sometimes they need a teacher

It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”

‭‭John‬ ‭6:45‬ ‭KJV‬‬

One Who is gentle and humble in heart

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28-30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Sometimes they need reminders that keep the Sincerity of thier faith

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:46‬ ‭KJV‬‬

sometimes they need stern warnings and admonishment to Keep them safe from death

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
Luke‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

sometimes they need a shepherd to gently call their name and to lead them on right paths through the valley and protect them From the wolves

“But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.”
‭‭John‬ ‭10:2-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:”
‭‭John‬ ‭10:14, 27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Sometimes they need family

“For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭3:35

Sometimes they need a friend

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his Lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”

‭‭John‬ ‭15:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is our Lord and our God even if we cannot see him yet , he is all sufficient to meet our needs whatever they are . we believe upon his name and we trust in his words of life and this is our common bond

“And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”

‭‭John‬ ‭20:28-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and sometimes we just need each other to stop judging and setting stumbling blocks in one another’s way because we are at different places and only He can judge

Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭14:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

some are yet standing before the bloody cross , but they believe in he who Died for them .

some are now lying in the tomb knowing with him they died but they believe In He who lives.

some have just began to notice the stone is rolled away and they are free to rise and walk but they believe in he who guides them

others are following the steps of Christ that lead towards home leaving behind them an empty tomb .

we all belong to Jesus he paid the price to make it so . when we come to him in faith and believe he is able to save us if we trust him and hear his truth. We can believe in Jesus and trust him with our everlasting souls he is able and all sufficient to meet us where we are

God bless and keep you always in the love and words of Christ , may he guide you by his spirit and comfort you in his arms. May he teach you and make you grow strong and may he help us love each other more and more

The most powerful experience done by God being put through human weakness and implementation of life being just a soul without life eternity's faith being available only with weak proof and beliefs ability isn't much in darkness,
For a respected God earned victory legally by grace and mercy that is properly unlimited by true faith above impossible faiths. I do respect God in me awake about it, every man as it but will wake in itself by pure Love that defeats the strongest hate and powerful doubt.

yeah love involves our actions though it comes from the heart of faith but love becomes what we actually do.

sometimes I say I love others , but my actions tell a different story.

“But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:17-19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus is teaching Gods love to believers the kind that forgives , doesn’t hold grudges , helps whenever it can rather than lying cheating and stealing it does no harm to anyone else but does good to others

“For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭13:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

when we lie to someone we aren’t acting in love , when we cheat on a spouse we aren’t loving them or honoring our word to God to be faithful , when we steal from someone we aren’t acting in love , ect . It comes down to our actions eventually

we need to learn to love as the lord taught us to love in the everlasting gospel. And forget how the world teaches us to love.

the Ten Commandments are actually telling us what not to do don’t steal from Others “ that’s not love “ “ don’t lie to others “ that’s not love , don’t cheat on your spouse or with someone else’s spouse “ that’s not love “ don’t worship and honor Other gods “ that’s not love toward God

ect

Christ and the gospel teach us what love is to God and his children

Life is told don't do certain things is a common Lusk from children to mature growth, God knows we all fail in different ways, the hardest is thought and how it becomes addicted to opinions, what is mature in flesh that defeated thought to become humorous attempts to overcome waken Spirit by overcoming saved outside you.

The reason I just try and explain what I try to reveal how life has been by experience we all face from failure and victory, my best request to become unable to judge other people who are different in what they experience from thought process we are entering first before speech and its affection on other people, the measure of how it effects or rejected hard to easy, before I did judge other peoples like an addiction causes its need, Actually defeating that addiction was a very joyful victory over myself.

Of coarse it can be tested with horrible happenings by man, but it's not a permanent reaction like it was to me.
I am not very excellent at writing because I was a country boy who wasn't that interested in school, I did study girls very interested back then to male boys. Plus my Dad effected my first opinions that was very powerful till you experience it for yourself.

yeah I couldn’t agree more , I just didn’t understand you last post we actually learn a lot by not judging other people and hearing thoer thoughts they are coming from a different angle which can some times be helpful in our own thinking

yeah I’m not the best or most disciplined writer either lol so no worries there.

but yes I think I understand what your saying more now about learning through experiences with the lord both ups and downs

it truly becomes a personal walk and the biggest part of daily life eventually a relationship sometimes we fail but still he stays with us waiting for us to respond in repentance . If he abandoned people most of us would be lost I’m sure but we have a hope of salvation instead because he doesn’t abandon those who are seeking him even at our worst he’s there to love us to our best

My precious brother in Christ.
Your opening post of this thread has brought tears to my eyes.

You have summed up the gospel of Christ, the verses you have posted are mind blowing.

I have quoted part of your post above because it was so relevant (still is) but here is why.

I will try to keep it short but hope it will validate what you have said.

I had to seek counseling for a traumatic upbringing.

Basically my mum fell pregnant with me out of wedlock, shameful as her upbringing was Muslim.

She was on the table to abort me (forced by her dad) she didn't go through.
As a result she was considered a shame on the family.
As a result as I grew up she took that out on me.
This was from physical to mental abuse and at the age of 13 she threw me out.
I was fostered by a Christian couple only to be sexually abused by my foster dad.
I could go on as to how this affected me and the process of healing of the result in my life but I won't.

So going back to your quote above.
Just so everyone knows I was a Christian at this point.

During counseling with a couple in my church I had to give my history.
Just to validate what I am saying when I first met them I have a brief summary of what me and my struggling. They said let's meet up next week and we will pray for God to reveal what he wants to do.

When we met up they told me that as they prayed over the week the initlas HA kept coming to mind.
God led them to the Abraham and Hagar.
So they asked me is your ancestors Muslim.
I said yes and my mum's name is Helema Alum.

So they proved a bit more.
I was very ashamed because the life I was living was not conducive to being a Christian. They were loving and kind and assured me that Jesus loved me.

So they said let's pray.
As they were praying they noticed that I seemed to have retracted/shut down.

Now this is really relevant to what you say "Jesus meets us where we are"

Bill they ask what's in your thoughts.

I say to them "I am in a bin"
What's in the bin they ask.
I say "Me and and a f**k load of s**t I am in the s**t bin of life"

So they asked me if Jeus is looking into the bin what do you think he would say.

I said he would show me his hand and pull me out.

They said

"No he would not, he would say move over I'm coming in, we can chat and when you are ready we can walk out together"

He met me where I was at and still does today.

John 17:23
23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

God loves as much as he loves Jesus.

It's true the Bible says so

brother I’m glad you found some calue in the thread am also in full
Agreement with what your saying

that’s the Jesus that I know and why I believe he became flesh so he could meet us all And each one where we are , and why he can keep the promise of salvation he makes up front.

Some of the first things we learn of the Gospel

“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:14-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

those promises he makes a new believer of salvation and deliverance from death and condemnation becomes a good place to build our faith. And then later we learn more about Jesus and the gospel when we need a new thing to learn

he really is all sufficient if we willingly make him so in our personal faith , and allow him to be so in our collective faith.

He’s able to save the repentant sinner on the cross , as well as the everyday person he met in Jerusalem from the prostitutes to the tax collectors to the thieves and drunkards they all flocked to Jesus and readily put thier Hope in him

but the religious and self righteous don’t want to hear his words they don’t need a savior or teacher about a new way , they don’t need a shepherd and guide through life , they aren’t a lost sheep they don’t believe they need atonement but sinners who accept they are sinners respond to Jesus message

“Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭15:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I used to wonder why the different reaction but when you examine Jesus teachings you realize it’s not about being perfect it’s about treating God and other people the right way. Having mercy and peace towards others when wronged.

Jesus is able to walk all the way with us from the darkest times of life to the best times with him. Sometimes we just need to really trust in him for all we need wether teaching or wisdom , encouragement promises of eternal
Life assurances of his grace and mercy.

Wisdom and truth , grace , judgement and life is there in Jesus words mercy and grace abounds but judgement remains true.

through the gospel we can best understand God by learning about Jesus and his thoughts and judgements opinions , how he treated others both sinners and righteous people repentant and un repentant.

you can learn a lot about Gods character and forebearance towards his people in Jesus and the gospel. Can really come to know him through Christ

John 17:23
23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

God loves as much as he loves Jesus.

It's true the Bible says so
“God loves as much as he loves Jesus.”

amen to that dear brother he loves his sons and daughters enough to take the suffering and shame , the pain and tears , the agony and torment of the cross and to pay for thier lives with the shedding of all of his own blood , his life was given to save his children

his love for us is is reflected to believers of the gospel as we look at Christ what he taught but most evidentiary value of his love is the suffering Jesus endured to his last breath calling for our forgiveness

It’s how we also Know that love isn’t just a feeling but involved our deeds

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us:

and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:16-19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

when you really read about what Jesus went through on his way to the cross , it’s more than just nailed to a cross we find he subjected himself to shame being spit upon by both Jew and gentile , being beaten by both Jew and gentile , being accused and mocked by both Jew and gentile , accused of blasphemy for speaking truth

He subjected himself to so much agony because he loves us that much more to endure and overcome all that he literally suffered terribly and died an excruciating death to save us willingly even though we had all been proven unworthy he loves us anyway

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”
