I am the rejected one,

I fall into the depths of despair.
I know you don't care.

Down into the pit of hell,
You rejoiced as I fell.

Unloved beaten and forgotten...

Be happy in your life,
One that is not full of strife.
Never remember how you stuck me with your knife.

I'm growing too old,
I'm no longer bold,
I give up on my life.

Jesus please take me home.

*This poem is inspired by 42 years of being rejected by my pears.

Sometimes - by Oblio

Sometimes I feel so alone
Like I haven't got a friend in the world
Sometimes I feel I'm living on borrowed time
Sometimes I feel I've got nothing to live for

Lord...help me cope
Restore my hope
A new start, a new song in my heart
Lord, help me cope

I wrote this song/prayer a few years ago. Not long afterwards I joined my first online Christian forum.
I belong to or have belonged to 5 such forums. At present, this is where I hang my hat.
I used to have a life, a wife, kids, ministry. I have health problems. I lost everything. I have no friends anymore.
What I do have is chronic pain, disease, and isolation. I've often asked the Lord to end my life, but He hasn't.
For the most part, I've been alone since 2004. This life is a passing breeze...here, and then it's gone.
The Lord is my only hope. Which, when I think about it is good because He's the only real hope any of us have.

We are on the road...to our home...in the New Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
Hang in there, brother...we'll get through this together.

Wow, Oblio . . . I don't know if you know this, but you're one of the few people I "follow." And having read this poem of yours, I can see a deeper reason for why. One of the things that draws me near to others is their suffering. I realize that this notion is backward to how the world thinks, but as God loves the poor, oppressed, and struggling, so do I. My heart's desire is to tend to others who are struggling as I am struggling. To help another is what gives my life worth . . . value.

I absolutely love what you wrote as well. And, I wish you well!

So far, we're the three amigos. :)

Thanks for the encouragement...it is appreciated.

I often need comfort too.

Well, I'd hate to be the guy who breaks up your trio, so how about I just call myself "The Fourth Musketeer"?

My own life could probably be summed up best by the following words of Jeremiah:

Jeremiah chapter 15

[10] Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me.

Jeremiah continued:

[15] O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.
[16] Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.
[17] I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.
[18] Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail?

God's response?

[19] Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.

In other words, IF YOU REPENT (of your self-pity), Jeremiah, then I'll continue to use you as my mouthpiece.

Here is how the Amplified Bible reads in verse 19:

Therefore, thus says the LORD [to Jeremiah], “If you repent [and give up this mistaken attitude of despair and self-pity], then I will restore you [to a state of inner peace] So that you may stand before Me [as My obedient representative]; And if you separate the precious from the worthless [examining yourself and cleansing your heart from unwarranted doubt concerning My faithfulness], You will become My spokesman. Let the people turn to you [and learn to value My values]— But you, you must not turn to them [with regard for their idolatry and wickedness].

When Jesus said that we need to deny ourselves (and the accompanying self-pity) and to take up our crosses (which were a means of cruel execution at the hands of a Christ-hating world) in order to truly follow him (Matt. 16:24), he wasn't joking.

I know perfectly well what it means to be alone or to suffer basically worldwide rejection for the cause of Christ.

I've often semi-joked with people while saying "Even my imaginary friends don't like me".

Even on this forum, there are several people whose contempt for me is palpable.

Anyhow, like it or not, as Christians, we've been called to suffer as Christ suffered, and a large part of said suffering will come in the form of rejection. From God's vantage point, we're actually BLESSED as we suffer the same:

Luke chapter 6

[22] Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
[23] Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Sorry for the lengthy delay in response. I have to tell you . . . this writing of yours has given me a whole new perspective on my current sufferings. I've thought about them throughout the day and have felt more uplifted. I've catalogued these verses that you've provided.

Just amazing. Thank you!

I'm genuinely happy that these verses helped you, even as they've helped me throughout the years.

Initially, I was going to cite something else that God said to Jeremiah, but I withheld because professing Christians have always gotten all bent out of shape whenever I've shared it anywhere in the past.

I'm talking about the following:

"If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?" (Jeremiah 12:5)

In other words, cheer up, Jeremiah...your trials are only going to increase (from "footmen" to "horses", figuratively speaking).

That's not the type of Christianity that most people desire or even consider to be true Christianity, but it is true Christianity, nonetheless.

No servant is above his master.

If the world hated Jesus, its very own creator, AND IT DID, then we shouldn't be surprised if/when it hates us as well.

Anyhow, I had LITERALLY just finished telling myself to never post on this forum again because all of my words here are useless in that nobody seems to care, and then I saw your response.

Now I have to reconsider...again.

If I can be of any assistance to anybody, then life is good.

Have a blessed night.

Another amazing post. In fact, I again quoted your words and pasted them into my running commentary on the Bible (regarding Jer 12:5). Thank you! It's funny . . . I didn't pick up on Jer 12:5, likely because of the translations that I was reading, but your paraphrasing puts the meaning into context. I did, however, write commentary on Jer 12:6. It says this:

Jeremiah 12:6 NLT - "Even your brothers, members of your own family, have turned against you. They plot and raise complaints against you. Do not trust them, no matter how pleasantly they speak."

I keep track of thousands of sets of Bible passages in an Excel Spreadsheet. I give them categories, subcategories, sub-subcategories, and then some. I have cataloged these passages under the theme of "My Story." And so, I don't know if Jer 12:6 relates to you, but my brothers have turned against me. They severed their relationship with me years ago. In fact, as an "adopted-like" child, I had three families around me. My two biological families and the family of my "adoptive" father. Literally, 100% of them severed their relationship with me. It wasn't until recently that I have managed to get three of them back into my life. My goodness . . . talk about brutal! I don't think anyone in my family loved the "family" concept more than I did. I loved them all beyond imagination! In fact, when my brothers climbed the tallest peak in South America (I believe), I told myself that if my younger brother died, I'd probably end my own life. My love for my brothers was extreme. To lose my family and all former friends (best friend of 35 years) was excruciating. My relationship with God was so good that I was ready to end my life so that I could go home and be with Christ. However, it wasn't quite good enough for me to understand the concept of "Endure."

I related to Paul when he stated that he wanted to go "Home" and be with Christ, but that Christian people needed him more. I got that, and I still get that! And so I stay within this world of the Devil . . . hoping that one day God will turn the minds and hearts of others to the "on" position. For the last six years, however, our Powerful, Almighty God has turned the hearts of nearly 100% of all people around me to the "off" position. It is astonishing how the Lord controls the minds and thoughts of others.

It is hard to imagine that you would be hated. Your words are smooth; there is a quality about them, yet you are, in essence, alone in this world. And we see this all throughout the Bible, that good, Righteous, Holy men would suffer senseless sufferings. In the face of doing good, they were accused of doing bad and harm. And like you said, most "christians" do not understand that this is how the Lord works. His ways are not our ways, meaning the way He thinks is not the way we think; hence, this is Satan's world. Most "christians" of today believe in health, wealth, happiness, prosperity . . . fields of roses and butterflies. Yet, they miss all of the OTHER passages that outline how God loves the poor, suffering, sick, weak, struggling, abused, ridiculed, etc. And it is these people who shall inherit the Kingdom of God.

We must Endure! And though no one has ever agreed with me (here), Endurance is a most Holy Word! Why do we so often read about Endurance in the Bible? Because life for the True Christian is wonderful? No, we must Endure because life for a Christian in the world of Satan is miserable. This life is not easy. It is lonely. It is isolation. It is to be an Alien in a strange and foreign land. We do not belong here, thus our bothers, fathers, mothers, friends . . . they reject us. Those who do not belong to the Body of Christ, though they believe they do, even these people will take us to court. Even these people will publicly belittle us. The very people that we Love with the Love of Christ . . . these people will be ashamed of us as they watch this evil world cast their aspersions upon us. Even our own "christian brothers and sisters" in Christ will deny us. Why? Because, in reality, they are not True Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

So yes, I would continue to post your Scriptures. But know this, those who do not belong to the Father will reject your words. So we ought not to be discouraged by the 99% rejection rate that we encounter even here . . . a Christian Forum of all places. But believe me, I am all but worn out typing the same things over and over again that revolve around the Spiritual Circumcision of Christ. Yet somehow, the Power of God keeps causing me to write them. My inner being is worn out, yet the Power of God keeps me going even beyond what seems to be my own sense of self will . . . if such a thing exists.

Well, what can I say?

It seems that you and I have the same Christ, and therefore the same types of sufferings which go hand in hand with having the same.

I bold-faced one sentence in your post because I've literally been taken to court (on totally false charges...I won by a landslide in court while defending myself) by those (family members, no less) who professed to know Christ, and, believe me, my chiefest "foes" are "they of my own household" (I come from a huge family, and they all hate my guts), even as Jesus warned that they would be (Matt. 10:36 while quoting from Micah 7:5-6).

Yes, we need to "endure" as we "fight the good fight of faith" (I Tim. 6:12), "war a good warfare" (I Tim. 1:18), and not only "run in a race", but "so run that we may obtain" (I Cor. 9:24) a "crown" which is "incorruptible" (I Cor. 9:25).

Anyhow, this post of yours was probably the best post that I've read in my two stints (my first was as "Live4Him") here on this forum.

Have a blessed day in the Lord.

Revelation chapter 21

[5] And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
[6] And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
[7] He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
[8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, I see that you've emboldened that line of mine. I am not winning. In fact, my torture has been ongoing for three years, now, and I lay in wait and fear of what is to come (which is the worst). And so, your words of encouragement are massive! Those words from Jeremiah have helped me immensely, even though I consistently talk about how we are to be grateful for our sufferings, as these sufferings are one of the major earmarks of what it is to be a True Child of God. And though it is easy for me to say those things to others, I often forget myself and live in ridiculous and senseless anxiety. It is amazing . . . the things that humans will do to other humans.

In the midst of my own literal "trial" (in that I was literally summoned to appear before a judge), I only asked a few people to pray, and I actually didn't ask any of them to pray for me. Instead, I asked them all to simply pray that God would provide an honest, discerning, and just judge. In other words, I knew (and so did God) that I was totally innocent of the charges which were made against me, but, sad to say, even the innocent are oftentimes deemed to be guilty...even as Jesus was before his false accusers.

Thankfully, our prayers were answered, and the judge ruled favorably towards me. Mine was actually the 27th of 27 cases to be heard that day (my last name begins with a "W", and they apparently heard the cases in alphabetical order based upon the defendants' last names), and all of the previous 26 defendants (they all had lawyers representing them) were found to be guilty.

Hopefully, the Lord will deliver you from your accusers as well.

It's beyond "amazing" what "humans will do to other humans".

In fact, it's not just a "human" issue in that these people are literally being led by their father, the Devil.

He is the real accuser of the brethren, and he's both a liar and a murderer from the beginning.

In the worst case scenario, no one can pluck us out of our Father's hand.

If we're falsely tried, falsely condemned, or even wrongfully killed, then we still have an eternal hope in Christ that no one can ever take away from us.

I'll say a prayer that God shows himself strong on your behalf.

"Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown." (Revelation 3:11)

Thank you so much. I've already been before a judge and found to be guilty, though there was no evidence of my guilt. But as said, I lay in wait for more . . . and the worst is yet to come. My life is in the hands of God, and I know, without a doubt, that the Lord can prevent all of these things happening to me just as He was able to prevent king Abimelech from laying a sexual hand upon Abraham's wife. The Lord prevented the king from these things, and the Lord can prevent all of these things from happening to me. Therefore, I just have to Trust that He alone is in control of all things and that there is a Holy Purpose to all of these activities.

So, I will pick up my cross of innocence and carry it to my hill. And should I be nailed to that cross, or should the Lord deliver me with 1000 of His Angels, I will do the Will of my Lord, for I have no choice. I have been bought at a price and my life is no longer my own.

Your prayers are greatly appreciated, as my human fears are often rendered as overwhelming.

I don't know what to say...except the Lord's will be done.

Righteous people have definitely wrongly suffered throughout history, and even holy men of God were oftentimes imprisoned in scripture (Joseph, Jeremiah, John the Baptist, Jesus, Paul, Peter, etc., etc.).

I'll definitely be praying for you.

Thank you for your prayers. And yes, the Lord's Will [will] be done. I have mountains of evidence that proves my innocence, but we live in a time where evidence is irrelevant. Literally, there is nothing I can do to stop this chaos.

When I fully submitted to God, giving my life to Him to be used just as He pleased, I had no idea that things would turn as they have. That said, my Faith is so rock solid, that even if I knew that these things would happen, I would do it all over again. This I know: All sufferings are absolutely, 100% worth it . . . once we pass through those Pearly Gates. And this is what most people do not understand: they give up because of their misery and they cast aside their Relationship with Christ before the Seed has a chance to grow. But my Seed is in quality soil, and it receives the Water of the Spirit, and it receives the Nourishment of Christ. My roots are established and they shall never whither. One way or another, things will work out for me. And if anything, I await the day that I pass from this life and move on to the next. I have already tasted Heaven, and so I know, for sure, what it is that is in store for me. And this "taste of Heaven" . . . I wish that all of us were granted such a remarkable and Holy Gift.

This all reminds me of the following:

I Peter chapter 1

[3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
[4] To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
[5] Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
[6] Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
[7] That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
[8] Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
[9] Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

You're in my prayers.

Thanks again. Peter certainly said some amazing things, for his trials and struggles taught him so much, even the lashing that he received from Paul in Galatians likely led him to his wisdom. Peter also wrote later in chapter 5 the following:

1 Peter 5:10 NLT - "In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation."

And that is my only hope in this world. I have no confidence in the "church," for even the "church" has mocked and ridiculed me. Nor do I place any hope in humans. There was a time when there was literally no one for me to call upon in my cell phone. I would tell myself, "Is is true? There really isn't anyone for me to call? There is no one?" A few times I went through this process of scrolling through my phone . . . and there was, in fact, not one person to even listen to what I was going through and experiencing. It was the most unbelievable feeling . . . it was beyond horrible.

And while it might sound and seem as though I am complaining, I am not. I am absolutely grateful! Why? Because if I were surrounded by a multitude of friends, family, and an overall amazing support system, would I have turned to God? Would I have ever understood His Holy Scripture as I do today? Not a chance. Who needs a lifesaver? Only those who are drowning . . . and in this life, we all need that lifesaver, thus, in theory, we should all be in that state of drowning and least at some point in our lives.

While I live in agony and though I live each day with a "broken heart," so to speak, my Spirit is 100% strong. I believe in myself and am thankful that the Changes that the Lord has placed within me. Without the Lord being in control of my life, these things would not have happened, nor would I have ever grown to be who I have become today. And who I am today, is essentially the person that I always hoped that I would become when I was a lost sinner with an unCircumcised heart.

I am so thankful!

People may reject you , just as they rejected our Lord , but He is faithful and will never ever reject you...
You are so loved...

This has turned from a despair thread into a beautiful brotherly love thread...
