If any of you would have read this the first time ...you would understand that Scripture says you don't Believe when you are sinning:

Entering The Kingdom is Sabbath Rest. It is rest for your spirit (intentions) ...It is rest from sin slavery/death/worldliness.

Heb 3:17-19
Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness?
And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey?
So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

||| You can't be sinning and believe at the same time ...and enter His Rest.

Heb 4:3
For we who have believed do enter that rest,...

||| We have to OBEY:

Heb 4:6
Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience,
If you read Hebrews carefully, you will notice that the emphasis is on believing in Jesus Christ.

It is that belief in Jesus Christ which the author is proclaiming, that is the way to enter that rest.

I borrowed your quotation.

Heb 4:3
For we who have believed do enter that rest,...

They did not enter the rest, simply because they did not believe in Jesus Christ.

The Hebrews were falling away from trusting in Jesus.

This is nuts. Jesus CAN'T be tempted. But then, what do you know about the Bible?

James 1:13 - When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;

Satan once tempted Christ and it didn't work out well for him.

Learn your Bible.
oh you flipped from us tempting CHRIST with willful sin ...to something else ...wonder why

You skipped over the entire point of the post:

Well, you just played your REAL hand; you're a works salvationist, which is what Satan wants people to think. That they earn salvation by what they do.

NO ONE "becomes righteous" by ceasing to sin. That's poppycock.

God's righteousness is CREDITED to those who place their trust in the Savior, Jesus Christ, for salvation.

There is no other way.
How are you practicing Righteousness?!?!

1 John 3:
7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous.

8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.

9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God.

10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

-----------------------

Picking up our own cross is Obeying Him to be in His Righteousness on The Cross. Do you want Represented when CHRIST was Forsaken or not?

It's time to shut all this nonsense down. A very unChristian thread. Probably started by a troll.

The point is, can you sin as a Christian?

"and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God."
Are we both reading the same thing? Cause It's saying those Born of GOD cannot keep on sinning ...so you think you are Reborn and your sins don't count now ...well, that's satan's lie ...wake up.

Do you believe this verse you quoted?

"9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God."
"Makes a practice." If one is not in denial, they know what they are.

"and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God."
He says his sins are but little oopsies.

According to him, only the sins of others are committed willfully.

According to him, only the sins of others are offensive to God and proof one is not saved.

If you think you're sinless, wait until a time comes when you go through an excruciatingly, difficult time. There may not be much left in the toothpaste tube, but if it's squeezed hard enough and long enough, "toothpaste" comes out. I wish it wasn't like that, I don't want it to be like that, but it is!

After all these years...after all these fears...after all these tears...You're still with us.
As we cry out to You, and stretch out our arms, You embrace us...just as we are!

Using CHRIST'S Name to declare your New sins are not causing separation from GOD ...is death.
