A bit of background on Putin's rise to power through the KGB
No doubt that Putin was a hard core and atheistic communist while moving up through the ranks in Russia. Surprisingly all that changed. in 1993 he converted to Christianity. Not only is he an active member in the Orthodox Church but he has actually transformed the Russian people and government into supporting Christianity and the Orthodox Church. That's right, through Putin's leadership, most Christian Church's in Russia receive State monetary support. Read a little bit about Putin's Christian beliefs in this article: Putin religion: Does Russia’s President believe in God? – Daily Premium News

Of course, Putin's Christian conversion doesn't explain his murderous actions in the Ukraine.

No way is Putin a Christian. He may have embraced a denomination. There is no way that he has embraced Christ. The Russian Orthodox church has always been acceptable to communism. Freedom of religion is in Russia's constitution. However, it is much like Catholicism in China. It has to conform to whatever government policy is in place, never say a word about injustice, oppression or persecution of the real church or any violation of human rights. Orthodoxy in Russia is a puppet. The ruling elites pull the strings.

It looks to me more like Putin prepared for war against a nation the size of Texas,he invaded them and after a few week's at war with a nation that everyone's debating to send a few Mig 29's or not he has shifted to plan "B" and called China and in that stern dictator type memorizing face said to China "oh please Heeeeeeeelp!!!!!!!!!!!" https://www.cbsnews.com/news/russia...y-help-in-war-with-ukraine-u-s-officials-say/ poor woodle Putin....
