You want MY sense of humor? Uh... Are you sure?

I talked to our church drummer and told her she might need to get a new drum. "I don't know if it's the snare or kick or toms or what that needs replacing, but I'm pretty sure you need to replace one of them. When I popped by Sis. Amy's office to make a few copies, the copier told me to replace the drum."

She snorted and rolled her eyes, and I apologized, which is how an awful lot of my conversations seem to end these days.

Actually a lot of my humor is situational. I don't usually go around telling jokes for no reason, but I have a stock of jokes that I use if the topic to which they are related is mentioned.

When someone mentions people who identify as things they are not, I comment that I would like to identify as "retired" but my wallet is shockingly narrow-minded.

I would sue my wallet for not validating my chosen self-identity, but if I sued my wallet how would I pay the lawyer?

If someone mentions talking to himself I will affect a dopey matter of speech and say, "Yes... Yes, I talk to Myself sometimes too, but I don't talk to Me anymore. Me started thinking he's five different people. Yeah, I and Myself just leave Me alone these days. He's crazy!"

The boss made a mistake and ordered new brooms three times in a row. We have way too many brooms now.

I get the impression they are forming a gang. When I went back to get a meat tray they stared at me sullenly and muttered something about being on their turf.

I think my reputation is getting around...

I picked up two pizza puffs at the local convenience store. Ever have a pizza puff? It's a rectangle of flaky pastry, filled with pure pizza goodness. The clerk cautioned me that they were cooked very recently and very hot, so be careful.

I said, "But that's tradition! Sure these are rectangles, not traditional pizza triangles, but it's still traditional to eat them when they are too hot and burn your mouth."

The other clerk said, "He has a good point..."

The first clerk said, "He ALWAYS has a good point! He always has some comeback for anything I say!"

I got me on ignore.
