Women are always saying, "If men would just shut up and do as they're told..."
Arrogance and unbridled vanity are a bad combination...
Do you believe women will postpone Armageddon... or just add fuel to the fire?
I don't see how this responds to why you believe it is still a man's world.

I don't think either man or woman can control Armageddon. Are you saying that feminism is bringing Armageddon closer?

Women are the only reason I haven't given up on human society altogether. Men are just dumb. Being one, I can be completely objective about saying that. If society were all men, or if I hated women, there wouldn't be much of a reason to stick around and I'd go live in a mud hut in the woods somewhere and leave all this modern nonsense behind.

My mom, who is a woman (uh, in case that wasn't obvious) is probably my best friend and the person I owe the most to. She taught me to read and from the Scriptures from a very early age. I owe my lifelong love of learning to her.

And for some reason, in my family, more women get born then men. I had only one male cousin on my mom's side growing up. My mom? One of four girls. My one aunt and uncle had all girls too. And I've got a sister. (My brother is much younger and didn't come along until I was older.) So I pretty much grew up around a lot of quite wonderful women.

Hopefully I will find an extra nice one and marry her one of these days.

If we were created to complement each other, yet, the best we can do is blame each other...
wouldn't you consider that a sign of the times?

Indeed, it just shows that people -- men AND women -- are lovers of themselves and more interested in being right/justifying themselves than reconciling with others.

I would have stopped right there. The whole "justification" thing is where the argument goes south! ;)

Pretty much. It's a movement where some men have figured out the game and have decided to not play any more. Whether right or wrong, it's about surviving.

I have seen plenty of marriages, seen men and woman before marriages, and after marriages. To want to stay single shouldn't be such a confusing concept to grasp. lol

A boss long ago asked me, if I was ever gonna get married? I said jokingly, marriage is punishment in some countries. He replied, marriage is punishment in all countries. lol He looked serious. He later complained about his marriage.

I will leave it at this, all this relationship discussion makes me want to vomit out my lunch. lol

I'm naturally inclined to play...

I don't know if there is a correlation, but it is a well-known fact that women have a smaller brain that is less capable of rational thought. I mean it's science.
Women, who are generally smaller than men overall, do indeed have brains that are generally smaller. However an elephant has a much larger brain than humans do and I don't think anyone would lose a philosophical debate to an elephant. I have never heard that women are less capable of rational thought, do you have any studies or empirical evidence to go with that?

Actually, there are studies that indicate men are linear and logical, whereas women are emotional and tangential. A man and a woman can be standing in the same place, at the same time, looking in the same direction, and see two entirely different things.

Makes me wonder what God took from Adam to make eve... What was in that rib?

God didn't make the woman to be the man's rival. He made her to be the man's helpmate.

God gave men certain qualities and women others. If men and women would use the qualities that God gave them and stay in their natural God-given roles then there wouldn't be so much hatred and arguing. It would all flow and be good... the way God intended it to be...in my opinion, anyway.

It's hard to tell if you're joking, and you're new here so I can't tell from your history on the forum.

They (whoever "they" are) ascribe this to brain functionality: women's brains consistently show more strongly coordinated activity between hemispheres, while the men's’ brain activity was more tightly coordinated within local brain regions.

In one of the largest functional brain imaging studies ever, Amen Clinics compared the brain SPECT scans of 46,034 female and male brains. SPECT is a brain imaging technology that looks at blood flow and activity patterns. This study, which appeared in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, revealed fascinating differences between the female and male brains. read more @ source

Helpmeet is not the word used... :)

When Eve was made for Adam, the term used to describe her role was ezer kenegdo.

Re: Hebrew ezer kenegdo.

The Hebrew word ezer is a combination of two roots: `-z-r, meaning "to rescue, to save," and g-z-r, meaning "to be strong."

In Genesis 2:18, the word "helpmeet" does not occur. The Hebrew expression ezer kenegdo appears, meaning "one who is the same as the other and who surrounds, protects, aids, helps, supports." The combination of these two Hebrew words has two roots: `-z-r, meaning "to rescue, to save," and g-z-r, meaning "to be strong." There is no indication of inferiority or of a secondary position in an hierarchical separation of the male and female "spheres" of responsibility, authority, or social position.

Use of the word ezer in the Scripture often refers to either God or military allies. In all other cases the one giving the help is superior to the one receiving the help. Adding kenegdo (meet) modifies the meaning to that of equal rather than superior status. Scripture is so awesome. God says just what He means.

The word ezer is used twice in the Old Testament to refer to the female and 14 times to refer to God.
For example, in the Psalms when David says, "The Lord is my Helper," he uses the word ezer.

I was thinking about this from a biblical perspective actually, I have not seen the studies you vaguely alluded to but in 2 Samuel 20 an emotional man (Joab) ran into a calm rational logical woman who came up with a suitable plan wherein everyone (except Sheba) walked away happy. A great read.

Again in the 13th chapter of Judges, Manoah got all emotional in the 22nd verse when he erroneously believed he had seen God (it was merely an angel). His wife logically and rationally soothed his fears.

In fact even Balaam's female donkey was calm and rational when Balaam got all emotional when she didn't want to walk into the path of an angry angel.

I am not particularly debating the argument that women have the stronger emotions, but logic and emotion can definitely coexist.

In a world where literally everything under the sun has a price tag and a tax code, and is therefore politicized in some way or other... Isn't MGTOW simply the logical and inevitable politically correct answer to modern feminism? Take Gay rights for example; They march naked in the streets demanding equality. However, their version of equality strips the straight majority of the right to even have an opinion regarding homosexuality, and claims the unfortunate right to teach our children whatever they want.

Apples and Oranges you say?

Political correctness means lawyers. Lawyers mean money. Money means competition and public opinion. Public opinion means politics... And politics means division!

Division, of course, is the reason why it's so easy to get a divorce...

"The enemy is delighted and wants to destroy families..."
BINGO!
And arrogant God insulting greed, the self serving lust for all this world has to offer, is the root of all evil.
I can see what you're saying here but I do think modern Feminism and MGTOW groups are dangerous. They don't give glory to God. They tear apart the opposite gender. MGTOW groups claim they want to go their own way but then they just complain about women instead of really living their lives happily single. If women are so terrible, then why waste time complaining about them? Why don't they talk about fishing or carpentry instead? I would think that talking about something more positive will help them mentally.
I know a lot of feminists do the same thing when they complain about things like the wage gap or toxic masculinity.

What I'm trying to say is that this isn't healthy or glorifying to God. We as Christians should try to do better.

There are a few people on here that enjoy being single and have lived that out well...but they don't label themselves or follow any philosophy claiming that half the world population is the same. I think that is pretty cool.
