Why do men and women hate each other?

A good friend divorced her husband because her husband was being very passive agressive and they avoided eachother to prevent flighting.
He was also the main income earner and kept her in the dark about financial issues. He was spending his money on his parents and siblings but being frugal with her; she felt he was spoiling them.

Another one, the husband was being unfaithful but tried to frame the wife as being unfaithful as well. He asked his friend to meet her so another friend could take a picture of those two together.

Another, the friend is overweight but the husband posted flirty pics with skinny girls frequently while married. They divorced. We lost touch after HS so I don't know the details.

I didn't read everything here, but many of the answers i did see make no sense.

Factor 1: The sexual revolution. Women gained the ability to have more casual sex, as well as to be more open about it. This gave them more chances to meet men of similar mindset, which is where many of the actual jerks that give men a bad reputation, dwell. So they get used and thrown away more commonly than ever.

Factor 2: Porn. Again, something once taboo has become normal and common and acceptable. And, again, run by jerks. And as it became more popular and acceptable, and as more women also began viewing it, the content got worse. Porn is basically ran by criminals, and abuse, especially of women, has, again, become the norm. Hitting, spitting, pain, slapping, choking not to mention blackmail or even taking advantage of or forcing yourself on a woman, including family members, has all been made normal. Not to mention cheating, especially by men, is considered acceptable or even to be expected.
And as younger and younger children are accessing it, they are growing up watching this and thinking it's normal. And the girls watch it and think it's normal as well.

Factor 3: Frustration. We see two major factors that lend to situations where women are mistreated. Eventually these women tire of all this mistreatment. The develop resentment towards men, because they inadvertantly put themselves into a world of people whose minds are warped. So they lash back.

Factor 4: Revenge. Now these women are determined to hurt men, since in their mind, all men are bad. But what often happens is the ones that are affected are usually the good guys. So, like the women, they become bitter from being mistreated and turn against women. The jerks aren't affected, but use this as an publicly acceptable reason to further hate on women.

Factor 5: The internet. All of these men and women come together online, and people tend to gravitate towards others of similar thinking. So enough of them get together and someone see's how common it is and decides to form a group. And the internet makes this easy to form and spread.

So if i were to put all of this into one sentence 'hurt people hurt people'. These are people either hurt so often, or so deeply, by the other gender, they resent all of that gender. And that thinking is encouraged and fueled by groups, rather than being a phase or stage to be worked through.
You can even see these hurt people here on this site, though they always deny it.

I figured these are once married couples right?
If they did not marry they would never have treated each other this way!

This makes a lot of sense. People should work through these issues. It's okay if they want to stay single...but you can usually tell if the person harbors resentment towards the opposite sex...and that needs to be taken care of. These groups just fuel that bitterness instead.

Yeah several members are telling me to stay away from YouTube or Reddit...but it's not like it's just there. CC has plenty of users who have this mindset.

The title of this thread seems to be making an erroneous assumption based some gender war instigators of our modern era?

I don't know if there is a correlation, but it is a well-known fact that women have a smaller brain that is less capable of rational thought. I mean it's science.

I've just noticed these things more and more lately and wondered why it is happening. My guess is that the enemy is delighted and wants to destroy families. Of course it's much more complicated than that...but that's the root of it.

A lot of men have embraced MGTOW and redpill due to experiencing a divorce or witnessing other men going through one. I have two close friends who are devout Christians and they don't want to risk marriage again because of what they went through financially and emotionally the first time around. But I know many women who've been through similar situations.

Because when people are generalized they are usually marginalized and degraded. They become "less than human" to an individual who has an axe to grind.

Currently the Russians and PRC and Iranians are grouped and painted with a broad brush. On an individual level they become human again.

The Ukrainians are also painted with a broad brush because of their plight.

Individuals are people... collectively they aren't.

Back in the day, I didn’t hate men, but I was surely bitter towards them. I generalized that men only wanted “this, that, and the other”, and apparently I was none of those things because I wasn’t pursued at all. I felt completely invisible when it came to romance. On most days, I was ok with being single, and then I would have bad days. But the Lord is good always!

As for people not wanting to get married, that’s ok as long it’s for the right reason: it’s all bringing glory to the Lord.

In a world where literally everything under the sun has a price tag and a tax code, and is therefore politicized in some way or other... Isn't MGTOW simply the logical and inevitable politically correct answer to modern feminism? Take Gay rights for example; They march naked in the streets demanding equality. However, their version of equality strips the straight majority of the right to even have an opinion regarding homosexuality, and claims the unfortunate right to teach our children whatever they want.

Political correctness means lawyers. Lawyers mean money. Money means competition and public opinion. Public opinion means politics... And politics means division!

Division, of course, is the reason why it's so easy to get a divorce...

I think all these movements or ideas happen in cycles...feminism was the response to misogyny/ill-treatment of women, now MGTOW is the response to feminism.

Pretty much. It's a movement where some men have figured out the game and have decided to not play any more. Whether right or wrong, it's about surviving.

I have seen plenty of marriages, seen men and woman before marriages, and after marriages. To want to stay single shouldn't be such a confusing concept to grasp. lol

A boss long ago asked me, if I was ever gonna get married? I said jokingly, marriage is punishment in some countries. He replied, marriage is punishment in all countries. lol He looked serious. He later complained about his marriage.

I will leave it at this, all this relationship discussion makes me want to vomit out my lunch. lol
