Do SDA believe Michael is God?
If I recall correctly from a different thread, according to SDA, Jesus appears many times in the Old Testament and some of those appearances are in the form of one or more angels by different names.

If I understand the position correctly, it would be more to the tune that God the Son took the appearance of an angel known as Michael rather than Michael being God.

After taking a brief look around for an article, this one might be a good representation of the SDA position (from Matt Slick): https://carm.org/seventh-day-adventism/the-clear-word-bible-jesus-and-michael-the-archangel/

Daniel 12
Easy-to-Read Version
12 “Daniel, at that time the great prince Michael will stand up. Michael is in charge of your people. There will be a time of much trouble, the worst time since nations have been on earth. But Daniel, at that time every one of your people whose name is found written in the book of life will be saved. 2 There are many who are dead and buried.[a] Some of them will wake up and live forever, but others will wake up to shame and disgrace forever. 3 The wise people will shine as bright as the sky. Those who teach others to live right will shine like stars forever and ever.

4 “But you, Daniel, keep this message a secret

I’m not sure you noticed a post awhile back about how God set his angel over the ot law when they worshipped the calf at Sinai ?

later in prophecy you see that Joshua was standing before the angel
Of the lord and not the lord himself who was foretold to come later.

the ot was mediated by angels , the New Testament is God manifest in man and speaking To us himself in Jesus. There’s no angel mediating the word to Moses and then Moses to the priests and priests to the people but he’s speaking it himself

Jesus is not an angel of any kind , He is the Lord God who commands the angels and who created them and us.

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s what the gospel teaches us about Jesus Christ. It’s the gospel that preached God was manifest in the flesh preached to all the world , who we must believe on , and who was received into glory.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

…He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:1-4, 10-13, 16-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:6-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the angels are less than Jesus as the ots
Mediation is less than the new. He commands angels and they worship him the true God and eternal Life the ot was mostly the angels speaking for and working Gods Will

Really? Have you read the Old Testament? Have you read the New?

Yes I've read God's word cover to cover so very many times to count. Read it with an humble heart and willing soul to be led by the Holy Ghost who is the teacher!

Your post appear to indicate you like contention, divisions invalidating others....shall I proceed.

I do NOT like your spirit nor attitude I read.

Please do not address me again!

Your estimation is right on target. I also commend you on the reading of God's word. I am currently on my 5th reading of the entire bible. My wife and I take turns reading and each time we chose a different version as a means to compare with the other versions or translations.

Do SDA believe Michael is God?
Yes, the "SDA believe Michael (Archangel) is God (uncreated and eternally self-existing Person/Being of the Son)".

The "SDA" teach that doctrine from scripture, and are able to trace the doctrine in historical Christianity, including the Reformation, as well.

So, many others besides "SDA" have taught, and some still teach the same, that are not "SDA".

The "SDA" teach that He is the personage as "The Angel of the LORD" seen throughout scripture.

If I understand the position correctly, it would be more to the tune that God the Son took the appearance of an angel known as Michael rather than Michael being God.
That is incorrect. The actual position of "SDA" is that Michael is simply another name/designation of the Person/Being of the Son. He does take on the appearance or even nature of the created heavenly hosts, but is simply Himself as messenger for His Father.
