Hello all,
My name is Adam and I’m 21 and from the United Kingdom. I was christened Anglican with my brother aged 2, but we stopped going to church when I was about 9, when my dad stated he didn’t want to go any longer. I’ve sort of been teetering on returning to Christianity ever since I was 18 or so, but in the last couple of months, things have fallen into place for me. I can’t quite articulate this. I was in a charity shop one day, and saw a nice-looking copy of the Book of Common Prayer which I bought. I have been studying it alongside the King James Bible. I should like to be confirmed soon.
Anyway, I was interested in joining this forum to learn more about the faith from fellow members. I also don’t have very many friends, and certainly no serious Christian ones. I should be quite happy to talk to anyone here or privately therefore.
God bless,
Adam

Hi Adam
What you need, is to ask Jesus into your heart, surrendering to Him, trusting in His payment on the cross for your sin... trust in Him all your days, and allow Him to be Lord of your life. Make sure you have a real relationship with Him, because what you do not need, is the burden of dead religion. It is a blessing to meet you, and I hope I may be a friend to you.
I am 49 and in the UK also. I have been in a committed relationship to the Lord for over 26 years. This site has been a real blessing in my life for a few years now... lol I have learned to avoid controversy (I hope), but even that is a learning experience in itself.
I hope you find a Church to attend regularly where the majority of people there truly know and love God and His Bible. These kind of churches can be hard to come by, however, I’m sure the Lord will lead you if you ask Him from your heart... you will know where it is because, as the Bible says, those who are led by the Spirit of God they are the Sons of God... and also it says that He will lead us in all truth, so keep looking to Him.
I am in the North West of England, if I can be of any help re: a church please let me know.
Another helpful thing to me has been a couple of apps: The You Version Bible app and also Daily Light which gives really good Bible reading for every morning and night. Lol this is all reminding me to read on my apps more! I needed reminding, praise God.

Anyway, bless you Adam...

Thank you for your detailed response Amanda :) I shall look into those apps that you suggest. Thank you also for your offer of friendship; if I have any questions I shall be sure to ask you, and if there is ever anything I can do for you, please let me know.

I would count it a privilege to be your friend and brother in Christ!

You are about to embark upon the greatest journey known to man. It is God's will that every soul should seek Him and His way. Few will there be that find it, but this is because they don't want to. They would prefer to do their own thing.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
