Nice to have you joining the discussions here at CC and the fellowship! Yes, your accepting the Lord does count, many when saved online or in the streets aren't baptized yet. You can always do that later also. Glad you are here and God bless you always!

You should get water baptized as soon as you can, but if you gave your life to Christ, and profess Him to be the Lord of your life; you have received salvation. Water baptism is confirmation of that salvation though, so it is important.

Hello Ysabel, we are delighted to have you join us here at Christian Chat. As mentioned above, water baptism is important as confirmation of our salvation in Christ. I believe that what is in our hearts is most important.

We are glad that you have joined us and hope you find many friends and good fellowship here. May our Heavenly Father bless you and keep you safe. Welcome! :)

Welcome! Baptism is not necessary to be saved, but is an outward expression of one’s faith and a basic Christian rite. If it’s possible for you be baptized in a solid, Bible-believing church, I hope you will do so.

Welcome there as you accept Christ as Savior and Lord, and then join a church hopefully and baptism. To prove your faith outwardly but it is very important inwardly there. Knowing that your name is in the Lamb's Book of Life!

Yo welcome ... get you baptised at once :giggle: it does not save but it is a great excuse for having a time ...

.... don't you have some warm blue sea down there in Haweii to be baptised in?

Baptism doesn't save you. Your faith in Christ as your Savior, and repentance to Him does. However, you do need to get baptized. It is something God wants you to do.

Hi Ysabel, and welcome.

Jesus has kept me in His care since I was born again in 1983 whilst reading the New Testament of the Bible, alone and in my lounge room. I was never baptised, so no, from my experience baptism in water is not essential for salvation. In my opinion, belief in the Lord Jesus Christ, in who He is, and what He has done, and allowing the Holy Spirit to transform us from an Adamic-natured human being to a Christ-natured human being, are essential for our salvation.
