Yep. And with my hair still wet from the water, I walked a block down the street and stole a bag of rubber bands for my paper route. I was 12 years old. Obviously, my "pastor" was in the business of baptizing people without ensuring that they understood the Gospel and what Baptism REPRESENTS.

Of course, if my "pastor" even understood the Gospel himself, he would have refused to Baptize me until he knew, for sure, that I understood it. To date, I've yet to speak face to face with any pastor that can properly EXPLAIN the Gospel. They can describe it, but they cannot explain it.

I was sprinkled when I was 3, but then i was immersed when I was 11 because I thought it was important that it was my decision and full immersion.

Yes, I have. It is important to be baptized. After His resurrection, Jesus wanted His followers to be baptized.

Get baptized. After Jesus rose from the dead, He told the disciples as we read in Matthew 28.

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Also see what Peter said to a crowd of people who had just heard the Gospel in Acts 2,
37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”

38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
(NKJV)

This is what Paul was told before he was baptized:
Acts 22
16 And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.’
