Eh, I think you have overly romanticized animals. Like how certain generations of American writers overly romanticized Native Americans as "noble savages."

Animals also rip children to pieces and devour them, maul people, play with their food. Shrikes impale their prey on thorns. Elephants will destroy human villages if they perceive their territory being infringed upon. Some predators will eviscerate their prey to weaken them and make them bleed to death. Nature can be exceedingly cruel.

Which is why I liken animals to biological machines. Their driving imperatives are survival and procreation.

But in general, animals are not evil. Fallen, yes, but C.S. Lewis mentioned that animals have limited capacity for good or evil while humans have a much greater capacity for good... but also a much greater capacity for evil. The Bible does talk about evil beasts as a judgment on the wicked, but I'm not entirely sure what that means. Perhaps animals demonically possessed or purposely twisted/diseased, etc.
I don't know anything.

That seems to be the case :(
We live in a world of deception. Discerning truth can be difficult. I pray this prayer a lot, and God has always answered it for me:

Jas 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Jas 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Jas 1:7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

Well, sister, you can cry about it or ask God for some more! He already promised to give it to you if you ask for it in faith.

I don't think God gives anyone ALL the wisdom ALL at once though. He gives us a little at a time, and then more if we make use of what we were given.

I take exception to that

it is the humans who have infringed on THEIR territory, seeking to relegate them to a smaller and smaller 'refuge' in the middle of an animal/person war zone

humans far exceed the cruelty of animals

Animals also rip children to pieces and devour them, maul people, play with their food.
animals do not rip their offspring out of their womb and use their livers to create noxious substances to inject into people

wars have proven humans are far better at mauling people and even eating each other at times

not agreeing with the other poster either...but this bit caught my eye

It’s cool to think about, how we are walking around with electric magnetic fields. And that is a better word to describe pain, sensation. I just couldn’t think of it. It does seem to go hand in hand with sorrow.

I’m not sure I would write off animals as inferior to human beings. It is said that cats see our energy and that is why they like some and hiss at others. How do dolphins communicate, like some say, telepathically? It is said that they have a collective conscious, hive mind (maybe all of creation does). We just don’t know it but they seem to. How do wild animals understand the cycle of life but humans, quoting now, are the only animals that will inflict pain on their fellow beings for fun - C.S Lewis. I’m probably off but that’s the gist. Wild animals don’t kill for fun they kill to survive. I’ve read stories of wolves helping, children, pregnant women. There are so many stories of animals that seem to indicate they are not just some inferior species.

I think animals are far more connected to God than humans. I think animals are connected to the spiritual and maybe walk in the spiritual easier than humans do. Why? I’m not sure, maybe they don’t have egos? Maybe I’m just speaking on stuff I don’t understand 😒
Oh, and I forgot to mention that humans not only inflict pain on other humans for fun but also inflict pain on animals for fun and make a sport of it. Yea, I really see humans as the superior species here.

well there are two sides to every story (or even four if you look at the gospels) so I would expect to agree with everyone

I have a good relationship with the animals who are under my care. Except for wasps and flies...dont particularly like them. But then the spiders and birds can eat them.

Is energy the same as auras? Is that biblical? I’m not exactly sure I understood how you take energy from others. I’ve heard that before though but not sure how that is done?
No I'm not referring to auras. Auras are not biblical. However some claim the aura is the halo always depicted with angels. It would be interesting to see if that was the history of it.

I feel the energy of others and so do you. You may not realize you do though. I would consider myself more sensitive to it perhaps. In dreams all people are the same with it. A character approaches you. It is their energy you feel. You know if they're good or bad instantly. My toddler will tell me when playing, "oh mom he's bad. Look at his eyes. " Little kids are very good at feeling energy. But then adults tell them, " don't judge a book by the cover." "You shouldn't judge people." "You need to give people a chance. " Even if those ideas are correct, they might actually know something on a deeper level too.

I'm sensitive to the energy of others. This is a blessing and a curse. This means I'm an anxious person. I'm aware when people don't like me or are using me or judging me. I can tell instantly. It's quick, people are typically thinking about themselves. It's still there though.

It's a blessing. When I was around 4 I got a new babysitter. Within 2 days I had stress hives and told my mom I didn't want to go there anymore. My mom was very loving and actually listened to me and found another sitter. 10 years later the husband of that babysitter was arrested for child molestation. Nothing ever happened to me. I knew it bc I'm sensitive to energy. In that case very negative energy.

My family had issues with depression, adultery, both my parents were abused in different ways. I grew up very anxious in general. I didn't even know what was going on until I was an adult. My parents were actually both good parents. But still I use to have nightmares every night. Literally every night. When I left home my anxiety dramatically improved.

Anxiety is very high energy placed in fear. So you are in fight or flight mode constantly. Ironically being excited is that same type of energy. So when I do feel anxious now, instead of saying "I feel so anxious about this day. " I say "I feel so excited for this day!" Weird, but it works when I need it.

But yes the good, the bad you feel the energy of others. They also feel your energy.... which is powerful to know. I use that trick daily as you can lift up others with your own energy. Instead of letting them pull you down. I often wonder if that's why Jesus always left to pray alone. He would have a very high energy and since crowds were following him it would have been exhausting.

Feelings are emotions, right? Happy, sad, etc. are they of the mind since they are not something that manifest physically? What about pain? Pain is sensed physically, is that still an emotion? Are thoughts emotions? How are feelings connected to the mind, not the brain? What is the mind in relation to the brain? It's not tangible. How are emotions wired to the body, the soul? Could someone's soul be placed in another physical body and still be that person? So weird. Maybe I should have learned this in anatomy and physiology class, I forget. If pets feel pain and have emotions does that mean they have thoughts too? And process information? I really wonder what they think.? Sigh :cautious:
We are body and spirit, and where the two overlap forms the soul. Body, spirit, soul, and mind all interface, so what hurts one of them hurts all of them. And yes we share these characteristics with all creation.

emotion - energy in motion

when you feel happy and pleased you do things like claps you hands and jump around
when you feel sad you hang your head or want to curl up somewhere and be quiet and not move
pain is felt inside your body as a reaction to something thats wrong or hurt, like a violation

A dictionary of emotions can help you, I think it pays to become emotionally literate or emotionally intelligent because certainly, people, animals etc are not motionless robots. Girls tend to be more senstive than boys not sure why maybe just have thinner skin and bones so its more sensitive our nerve endings are closer to the surface. Girls cry more easily but its healthy to cry, boys tend to deal with stress by running or fighting (fight or flight) but girls connect with each other and embrace and talk.

On sunday I was reading a story out loud and our chicken Martha came up to me and listened the whole time, shed never done that before.

It was DogMan Mothering Heights. so talking and thinking animals wasnt a strange concept..it was part of the story.

On Tuesday morning Mum found her dead in her coop...the previous night ahe didnt want to go in, wanted to stay in the house and mum had to carry her back. She had fallen asleep forever.

We buried her next to her sister Mary in the garden.
