Taking responsibility would be keeping it in their pants until marriage.

This just gives this type of man an excuse to be more promiscuous.

Point taken if he is single. I'm not sure all abortions are sought by the unwed.

In any event you are absolutely correct, but I will still celebrate a clipping over a termination.

Yes, it does, but for far too long men have avoided this responsibility and left the woman "holding the bag" so to speak. If you really want to go deep in this topic you can trace it back to the radical feminist movement and the de-gendering of males but that's a long discussion.

And after marriage then what? The wife has a child every year?
No, obviously she aborts every year or he gets the big snip and they have zero kids. 🙄

And on the off chance you were serious and have no clue how this works, there are ways out there to prevent pregnancy without altering the body i.e. barrier methods and natural family planning.

If a person marries and both husband and wife are 100% certain they don't want any kids (my aunt and uncle were that type), then sure, go for a permanent alteration. Though a vasectomy increases the risk for prostate cancer (albeit, a small risk, but still).

My personal thoughts are that we should trust God more in the aspect of family planning as the Bible shows that Yahweh opens or shuts the womb and that children are a blessing.

Anyway, what would you suggest?

You said taking responsibility means abstaining until marriage. This would imply that once a couple is married they can have all the kids.

Whether married or unmarried, taking responsibility means you do not have kids that you cant afford. So if men are rushing to get vasectomy, then thats good.

What is worst, men fornicating/being promiscuous without the fear of getting women pregnant or is abortion worst?

We Christians cant have everything we want and we cant force our morals on orhers.

When you leave home do you leave your doors open, and trust God that He will keep intruders out?

We know God can do anything, however He does not. And what is in our power to do or whatever God gives us the grace to do, we should do it. Deut. 6:16 You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.

I got an question isn't this not part of the agenda that goes against what God told Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden to multiple their seed?

Are the population of the earth increasing at the moment? People are having less kids already, we may be having negative grow. Would be interesting to know.

This months Last Trumpet Newsletter actually addresses the decline in births, all over the world.

Though in the US the population isn't really falling like other parts of the world.

In all of your response I didn't see a suggestion to this issue. Do you have one?

So your suggestion is that all men do this? Some? Only married men? Or just single guys? What happens if it becomes the norm for single men to rush out and get the V? Not all can be reversed (it has a 50% success rate and drs say to not count on a reversal working at all) should they choose to have kids later in life. The reversal procedure is complicated and expensive. And as I pointed out earlier, vasectomy increases the chance for prostate cancer.

If men are running out to get a vasectomy, that flies in the face of Yahweh's mandate, as @3angelsmsg mentioned. Talk about testing God! Altering his creation so mankind can more freely sin? Eek.

I guess I don't see this as a solution when God has already given one: abstain or marry.

If thats what the men who were mentioned in the article wants to do, then neither you or I can stop them.

You are more concerned about vasectomy than abortion. If you are against vasectomy then thats your business, leave others to do what seems best to them.

By the way getting a vasectomy is not a sin.

Marriage does not mean you should have kids if you cant afford them. And who abstains when they are married so how can that be a solution? People dont usually abstain because they dont want to have kids, its usually because they dont want to fornicate.

No, just because I'm having a conversation about vasectomies doesn't mean I don't care about murdered unborn children.

I didn't say getting a vasectomy was a sin. What I was I saying...trying to get at...was that it is a sin for an UNMARRIED man to alter the body in order to be promiscuous without responsibility.

I also never said being married = HAVE to have kids. As I said before, there are methods to prevent children. And if a married couple chooses sterilization, that's between them and God. Although my PERSONAL beliefs are to trust Yahweh on this matter (and I admit, I haven't always been good at following through on trusting Him with my fertility), I'm not against a married man choosing that option. I'm against SINGLE men using this as a free pass to be sexually loose.

Um, married couples often abstain for short periods of time, for various reasons. Often abstaining occurs during natural family planning. For example, if a woman knows she will soon ovulate and she and hubby DON'T want to get pregnant, they will abstain for a few days.

If you don't mind me asking, are you married?

In what period of time does this happen? You must be referring to the era before contraceptives were invented. These are modern times, no need for anyone to abstain in marriage as a means of birth control.

As long as these arent Christian men, and there are consenting adult women who will freely go along with them, well thats that.

If saved Christians are struggling to abstain, then why lecture to the unsaved about abstaing? The real focus should be on the loose Christians doing things they have no business doing.
