As a Christian and mother of two children, online safety is a big concern for me, wanting to protect my children from what they see on the internet knowing how this can damage them or rob them of their innocence.

I'm pleased to see the UK government is trying to put measures in place to make the internet a safer place for children however it isn't helpful when companies active within UK's internet industry are working against them.

Recently a Mr Farnden Marketing Executive for Cityfibre was caught uploading and sharing indecent pornographic images, not to an adult website but a website easily accessed by men, women, children of any age.

Cityfibre is working at the very heart of the UK's internet industry, installing the country's fibre optic network.

So was Mr Farnden asked to resign, demoted or dismissed? No, unbelievably Cityfibre CEO Greg Mesch rewarded him with promotion to Head of Sector Marketing! They should be disgraced.

So should mothers who allow their young daughters to dress like Lady Gaga, then complain when men pay them undue attention. Fathers who train their sons to treat women like objects of lust and women who dress that way are also guilty. The world has fallen into a cesspit of lust. Businesses don't care. They make revealing clothes for children because they sell.

First rule of the home should be no screens where adults can't see them. That includes mobile phones.

This is the most painful thing I'm seeing now a days. This personally hurts me because I was once a dead addict to pornography and sins of lust i thought they're gonna be with me forever because the addiction is just too strong. If not for God I would've died for real. Jesus's Christ saved me.

Children exposed to pornography, wow our world has developed so much in a wrong way. Back then I have to search magazines to find my source of lust but now it's like you have to close your eyes inorder to not see one while watching television. Models posing inappropriate poses for almost all advertisements. And the amount of dress that provoked me back then are new normal now.

I'm not a parent but as far I know, only way to protect them is through God's help. Instead of trusting the government and trying on your own leave it to God. Blaming the world isn't gonna help either because the world is going to get worse. So pray for your kids salvation if they are already saved soak them in scripture that will protect them from any temptation. Don't bother yourself too much instead let God take control.

Yes, I agree with you about that no screen thing. When I become a parent I'm gonna be my kid's hitler he's gonna hate me so much in his teenage lol.

Following on from this...

I have decided to boycott any Internet Service Provider using the Cityfibre network and I hope other people will do the same.

I refuse to allow my money to be used to line the pockets of perverts or a company that supports them.

I will also be writing to Ctyfibre to complain via their online complaint form: https://www.cityfibre.com/enquiries

Pornography is the least of the harmful things that your children can access on the internet.

You need mirroring software...one that can show everywhere and everything your children have accessed and said.

Sadly, it is a heart problem which is the issue. If we can at early age teach our children that 'their heart is deceitful' above all. And show them the error in their behaviour at very early age there is hope. Outside enfluences will there always be, it depends on the training parents give to the children. This make me think of Daniel who was also teen when he was kidnapped and brought to Babylon and yet he displayed very good religion. And also Joseph, wow. I am amazed to how they pulled it off to stay faithful and pure through the temptations ensamples for us. It is possible through Christ.
