No, i cant agree with your outline. Paul draws the picture of a human body to describe the use of the gifts. According your understanding the eye can be the arm, the foot, the ear and the mouth and so on.
This I cant find taught in the scripture.
So it is not true that a believer get all the gifts which are mentioned.
He got the gift the Holy Spirit is giving him!
I believe there are gifts and there are callings. One might be called to be a healer, but that doesn't mean they can't at times be used for something else like prophesy. We just need to be available for whatever God needs us for at that particular time.

"My experience is against what is written". What more is there to say? You know better than the word of God. Very sad when you see those making such comments. Only out of pride and arrogance. I could type a new thread and call it Gifts of the Holy Spirit and you would troll it with this kind of comment.
I said: my experience with this movements is against what is written in 1. COR. 12,11.
You should give back what I have written correct!

I'm glad and blessed that I learned in what I call a "1st Corinthians 14" church. The gifts are alive, but have an appropriate time and place. Especially with tongues.

Paul seems to be pretty clear that Tongues and Knowledge would cease when that which is Perfect has Come. That clearly is the Second Coming of Christ. So until Christ Returns, the Gifts of the Holy Spirit should be alive and well.

When Christ returns and restores creation to it's pre-fall status, the gifts will end because they will no longer be needed.

For example, miracle healings will cease because no one is getting sick any more.

Likewise, tongues will cease, when the singular spiritual language we lost at Babel is restored.

Lemme ask you this ... Man had a singular spiritual language up until Babel - it's actually about the only thing of God he kept after falling. God promised to restore it when Christ returns to rule. Since Christ has already won in the heavens, could tongues today be our ability to access this soon-to-be-restored language now thru the Holy Spirit? And in that sense is it not actually our native language?

I have wondered if Tongues is the Official Language once we are in Heaven. And if so, that might connect to the point you're making meaning the Language Adam spoke, and all humanity spoke till the Tower of Babel incident, could have been Heaven's Language of Tongues.

Pre-incarnate Christ, in the Garden with Adam and Eve, had the very first Language. That Language would have been given to Adam from God. There's no reason to think it was not the Heavenly Language they spoke.

Adam was Perfect in the Beginning + Satan, the Serpent would know that Language very well in his deception of Eve.

14 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
5 I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.
6 Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?
7 And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?
8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?
9 So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.
10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.
11 Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.
12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

Whenever I've read 1 Corinthians I was always under the impression that by "an unknown tongue" this meant simply saying words without understanding the meaning behind them
I'm not all that familiar with the idea of the Pentecostal church, but I remember my mom telling me about it before, how people will speak what seems like "gibberish" and not a known language, and claim that this is of the holy spirit in them speaking
I do not believe this is at all what is meant in these verses
And I do not want to offend anyone though I think those that do the "gibberish" speaking are saying at the least that they are spiritually confused and desire to speak with their spirit
If I were to speak with my spirit alone, it is simply like spiritual rumination for example, it is messy and to others would seem loony, there are loose ends and no conclusions
That is why the understanding is important

"There was NEVER any heavenly languages spoken that no one understood and required an interpreter." Only once I can think of- when Daniel interpreted the handwriting on the wall. That said, whenever the Bible speaks of "tongues" it means an intelligible language; one known to earthly men somewhere.

Being “baptized in the Spirit” is the same as having the Spirit resting upon you, and you were given power. Real power, not just an emotional feeling of power. Power that enabled men:

Judges 6:34 (ESV) But the Spirit of the Lord clothed Gideon, and he sounded the trumpet, and the Abiezrites were called out to follow him.

1 Samuel 16:13 (ESV) Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers. And the Spirit of the Lord rushed upon David from that day forward. And Samuel rose up and went to Ramah.

Ezekiel 11:5 (ESV) And the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and he said to me, “Say, Thus says the Lord: So you think, O house of Israel. For I know the things that come into your mind.

Acts 1:8 (ESV) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

The Judges protected the young Hebrew nation, the prophets foretold events and confronted priests and kings, healed the sick and even brought the dead back to life. And when those men in Acts received the power of the Holy Spirit, they didn’t just go to a service and praise God in some unknown language; they went out and evangelized the world! They performed real healings while themselves suffering many abuses that might cause a normal man to lose faith. And I am going to propose that for the New Testament apostles, the baptism of the Spirit was the same as for their forefathers; a resting of the Spirit upon them which empowered them long term, not just a short burst of a "heavenly language."

In Acts 2:1-13, everyone there knew something supernatural was happening. Even those who denied it knew it because it doesn’t say they disbelieved, only that they mocked- as we might expect a man in denial to do. Note too that everyone there understood the apostles in their own tongue as they spoke. The contemporary idea of tongues is to babble something and someone else “interprets” so that everyone can know what was said. This is the exact opposite of what happened in Acts ch. 2. The Spirit settled upon these men, the visable evidence of which was tongues of fire and the auditory evidence was “suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.” That all men present understood what they were saying in their own tongue was a result of the Spirit immersing these men in the power of Almighty God!

1 Corinthians 13:1 (ESV) If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

There; doesn’t that say we can speak with the tongues of angels? No. In the first place, an angel (in both Hebrew and Greek) is just a messenger. It can be a heavenly messenger, a pastor, or just a man with a message:

G32 ἄγγελος aggelos ang'-el-os From ἀγγέλλω aggellō (probably derived from G71; compare G34; to bring tidings); a messenger; especially an angel; by implication a pastor: - angel, messenger.

The word for “tongues” here is “ gloce'” from which we get the psychological term "glossolalia."

glossolalia (ˌɡlɒsəˈleɪlɪə) n
1. (Ecclesiastical Terms) another term for gift of tongues
2. (Psychology) psychol babbling in a nonexistent language
3. incomprehensible speech sometimes occurring in a hypnotic trance or in an episode of religious ecstasy. Compare speaking in tongues.

By comparison what happened in Acts 2 was an example of Xenoglossy, “the putative paranormal phenomenon in which a person is able to speak or write a language he or she could not have acquired by natural means.”

Now since the text says “tongues of men and of ἄγγελος aggelos angels” it would appear that this is not just unintelligible babbling or a self-induced ecstatic sense of euphoria. And by the way, whenever heavenly messengers appeared here on earth and spoke with someone, they were always understood. The most common type of "angel" is a pastor, and most sermons are delivered in a common language.

1 Corinthians 14:27-28 (ESV) If any speak in a tongue, let there be only two or at most three, and each in turn, and let someone interpret. But if there is no one to interpret, let each of them keep silent in church and speak to himself and to God.

This is used not only as “proof” of the gift of tongues, but also as the formula for the use of this “gift.” Let me ask, if tongues are from God, how is it you would first have to make sure there is an interpreter handy, as the text here implies? Today in Pentecostal churches someone almost always would “interpret” for you. But not always, and in the scripture above the speaker is to know beforehand there is someone there to interpret. How can this be known if you are about to speak in a "heavenly" language?

My mother’s family are Pentecostal, and I’ve been to many Pentecostal services in their and other churches. I’ve seen a lot of tongues spoken, but never have I witnessed anything I thought was supernaturally inspired. More often than not, the "interpretation" reflects some pet peeve of the interpreter. I have also had some very sincere men try to "teach" me to speak in tongues. My reply to them was "If it is from God, why would you need to teach me? If God wants me to speak in tongues, it'll happen. Otherwise we'd be wasting our time to try and master a technique to say something I don't even understand."

1 Corinthians 14:18 (ESV) I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.

Paul was a very educated man. He probably spoke several languages, "more than all of you." He was very hard to understand (2 Peter 3:16), but not because he went around babbling. Even in his own time and place he was apparently difficult to comprehend, but that does not give us license to "distort" his words (again, 2 Peter 3:16).

So if you've read this far you might think I do not believe in the gift of tongues. Not so: one who can easily acquire a new language has the "gift of tongues." At least that is my opinion. I have also heard of instances where someone on the mission field spoke to people in their own tongue without knowing that language. I have no problem believing this as missionaries (like the apostles) typically have taken a large step out in faith, and that use of tongues edifies those who otherwise might never hear the gospel. But in a church where everyone speaks the same language, where it would therefore be more orderly for those who can contribute (when appropriate) to do so in the common tongue, I have my doubts.

I have friends who speak in tongues. They said it "kind of" sounds like Japanese or Arabic, so it seems the tongues languages they are speaking are not identifiable languages. My thoughts are complicated on this. I believe tongues speaking can be sincere (since it is stated in the Bible), but I think it is also possible that many people speaking tongues are not speaking the "real" tongues. For example, if lackluster Christians speak tongues, doesn't seem sincere to me and seems like they would not receive this gift. Real spiritual sounding people can speak tongues, but they could be frauds too.
There are studies by linguists that document that no language is being spoken in those services.
Hebrew was my first language. I do not speak it anymore, but I know it when I hear it. After visiting those churches people tell me they heard Hebrew. I ask them if they speak Hebrew. They say NO. I point out that I grew up in a family speaking Hebrew and know it when I hear it and there was NO Hebrew spoken there.

Have some Japanese or Arabic people visit that Church. They will verify that those languages are NOT spoken there.

When I was in the USAF often a group of 25 of us who knows various languages visit Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches. Someone would come up to us to say they heard ???? language. The persons who knows that language would start talking together and tell them Ah, NO you did not.

I've never felt the urge maybe my faith isn't as abundant as my moms.
Since most tongues are an fraud which takes no faith. You may have been blessed by the higher gifts in I Cor 12-14.
We are to seek the higher gifts that serves others. I believe all spiritual gifts are for today. I witness to Muslims in their own language as God gave it to me a few times when I was in the USAF. I do not encounter non English speaking people today.

I believe we must test what goes on to see if it is from God.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-23
Easy-to-Read Version
16 Always be full of joy. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Whatever happens, always be thankful. This is how God wants you to live in Christ Jesus.

19 Don’t stop the work of the Holy Spirit. 20 Don’t treat prophecy like something that is not important. 21 But test everything. Keep what is good, 22 and stay away from everything that is evil.

23 We pray that God himself, the God of peace, will make you pure—belonging only to him. We pray that your whole self—spirit, soul, and body—will be kept safe and be blameless when our Lord Jesus Christ comes.

Sure, everyone has the genuine gift but no one has the phony. If you listen to everyone who has the genuine article then there isn't a phony, everyone has the real thing!

The Gift Of Speaking In Tongues Is Real, Given By The Spirit Of God, For Prayer And Prophecy In The Church, To Be Interpreted If Spoken?

If spoken then everything every speaker must be interpreted. That is why Paul tells the church that only one person is allowed to speak at a time. When everyone speaks at the same time it is NOT from God, it is likely from the Flesh or sin nature. Women in the early church were not given the gift of tongues which is culturally conditioned. In Corinth, there were mystery religions with temple prostitutes led by women. In Jewish culture back then it was improper for a Lady to have authority over men.

1 Corinthians 14
J.B. Phillips New Testament
26 Well then, my brothers, whenever you meet let everyone be ready to contribute a psalm, a piece of teaching, a spiritual truth, or a “tongue” with an interpreter. Everything should be done to make your church strong in the faith.

27-28 If the question of speaking with a “tongue” arises, confine the speaking to two or three at the most and have someone to interpret what is said. If you have no interpreter then let the speaker with a “tongue” keep silent in the church and speak only to himself and God.

29-33 Don’t have more than two or three preachers either, while the others think over what has been said. But should a message of truth come to one who is seated, then the original speaker should stop talking. For in this way you can all have opportunity to give a message, one after the other, and everyone will learn something and everyone will have his faith stimulated. The spirit of a true preacher is under that preacher’s control, for God is not a God of disorder but of harmony, as is plain in all the churches.

The speaking of women in church is forbidden
34-35 Let women be silent in church; they are not to be allowed to speak. They must submit to this regulation, as the Law itself instructs. If they have questions to ask they must ask their husbands at home, for there is something indecorous about a woman’s speaking in church.

More frauds than real

I have seen churches actually teaching people at the altar, then pass the money basket around after class, no joke

Sorta like the Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn types

Yes the gift given to me sounds Arabic, Yiddish, not a known language m aware of

My Prayer Life, Not Jumping Around And Screaming In The Church (y)
With a partial Jewish background I never heard anything that sounds like Arabic or Yiddish spoken in an English speaking church. Invite some Jewish friends to church, they will verify what I wrote. All I have heard everywhere are English syllables with no language format being used. For the fun of it I spoke out my shopping list in Hebrew and got an interpretation about the Second Coming. The lengths of interpretations when done one at a time do not match the length of speaking. One of the group I wrote about above started swearing in church in his native langues which was clear to the rest of our group. That was interpreted as praise to God.

Collect a group of Christian speakers of different languages and visit Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches. They will tell you that none of their languages were spoken at all.
