Are you prepared for the trial of the Creator?
• Pro 17:3 -> “The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and the LORD tests hearts.”.
• Psa 66:10 -> “For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried.”.
Many are the excerpts that assert that the Creator tests people. And why does He try them?
To requite everyone according to their ways, works and fruit of their deeds:
• Jer 17:10 -> “I the LORD search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”
• Rev 2:23 -> “and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you according to your works.”.
And not necessarily this is something bad. In the case of His people, He do this in order to bring His people closer to Him so that they can partake of His holiness (Heb 12:10) and their offerings can be acceptable:
• Mal 3:2,3 -> “But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner's fire and like fullers' soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring offerings in righteousness to the LORD.”.
• Zec 13:9 -> “And I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested. They will call upon my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘They are my people’; and they will say, ‘The LORD is my God.’”.
It isn’t in vain that the psalmist prayed:
• Psa 26:2 -> “Prove me, O LORD, and try me; test my heart and my mind.”.
• Psa 139:23 -> “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!”.
After all, the faith, when tested, is more precious than gold:
• 1Pe 1:7 -> “so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”.
And how does He do this?
1 - Through the furnace of affliction:
• Isa 48:10 -> “Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried you in the furnace of affliction.”
• Amo 3:11 -> “Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: “An adversary shall surround the land and bring down your defenses from you, and your strongholds shall be plundered.””.
2 – Through the praises that He allow them to receiver:
• Pro 27:21 -> “The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and a man is tested by his praise.”.
So have a magnificent day presenting yourself approved before the Creator:
• 2Ti 2:15 -> “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”.
• Pro 17:3 -> “The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and the LORD tests hearts.”.
• Psa 66:10 -> “For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried.”.
