Wherein are you specializing?
• Pro 17:2 -> “A servant who deals wisely will rule over a son who acts shamefully and will share the inheritance as one of the brothers.”.
And how to become wise:
• Prov 13:20 -> “He that walketh with wise men becometh wise; but a companion of the foolish will be depraved.”.
Observe that those who are companion of the fools are turned into wicked:
• Jer 13:23 -> “Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard his spots? Then also you can do good who are accustomed to do evil.”.
And we can see this in Israel:
• Amo 3:9,10 -> “Proclaim to the strongholds in Ashdod and to the strongholds in the land of Egypt, and say, “Assemble yourselves on the mountains of Samaria, and see the great tumults within her, and the oppressed in her midst.” “They do not know how to do right,” declares the LORD, “those who store up violence and robbery in their strongholds.” ”.
See that the Israelites specialized themselves in get things through violence and robbery. They forget outright how to do what is right. The aftermath is that there was much tumult and oppression amid Samaria.
And what about us? Are we specializing in mercy, forgiveness, goodness or in condemnation, curse, nemesis? When we work, our aim is to supply our needs (using Gen 3:18 as excuse) or to apportion with the needy (Eph 4:28)? With our job, are we mollifying the pain of the neighbor or aggravating it?
Are we investing in our career and our ken in order to better take advantage of the misfortunes of people or to be more profitable in Jesus’ hand to reveal His grace to the needy through the acts of kindness which we practice in our job?
So, have a great day increasing more and more in Jesus’ wisdom?
