When Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem to register for the Census that was being taken she came to the end of her pregnancy and the scripture says that there was no room at the Inn ----

So do you think this was an unfortunate accident or was it God's Will for His Son to be Born in a stable and laid in a manger ? -------which was an animal tough ------

Your Thoughts ??

This is the Scripture ---Luke 2 NKJV

Christ Born of Mary
2 And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. 2 This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. 3 So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city.

4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed [a]wife, who was with child. 6 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a [b]manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

I say ======This is a picture of what a house might look like in those times

Meek and lowly He came to the world. He didn't come in like a tv evangelist. No fanfare. He came in a way that we could identify with Him. What to we feel we have in common with Oprah, or a president? Jesus came meek and lowly to save the world. Some will recognize Him, some will not. But he came humbly into this world so we could choose whether we would make Him Lord of our lives.

Not disagreeing, but being born in an inn wouldn't have been presidential or of great fanfare...just saying. I can't identify with His birth since I was born in a hospital.;)

Since nothing connected with the birth of Christ was accidental, we can take this also as being a part of God's plan.

I personally think there is a lot to identify His Birth with when you think of it in a Spiritual sense -----

One has been identified as Him taking a Lowly Position ------

What about the Spiritual side of the feeding trough -----any thoughts ???-----

Just another place our english scriptures mislead us. Most likely they stayed with relatives in a private room and the manger may be the only thing authentic about the story. The greek word kataluma is translated inn but usually refers to a private area in someone's home. It is the same greek word is where we get the (upper room) where the disciples had Passover suppper with Yeshua/Jesus. The greek word pandocheion is for describing a place for strangers to stay in their travels. Bottom line is it was probably a guest room in a relative's home. When we leave the original language we are at the mercy of the translaters to get it right.

I guess it depends on the hospital , some are bad as a stable or worse.
