Howdy Runny. Is that runny (undercooked) eggs or do you like to race on foot?

Anyway, welcome to the forum.

I'm 43 and still single. I love it. Of course... I'd probably enjoy being married too. But I'm not in a hurry to find Mrs. Right.

Here are two other threads you might enjoy reading. They are both about the bright side of being single.

I prefer not sharing my bag of chips with anyone right now, so I'm happily single :p

For real! Those chips and candies labeled "share size" are grossly mislabeled anyway.

my friend convinced me to share a breakfast meal with her so I had to scrape half of it onto another plate for her.

I didnt say anything but I only felt half full after that....! At least she didnt ask for half my smoothie. I bought another one for her. I think she thought she was saving me money as I was shouting.

But...I just find it a bit annoying sometimes.

Is this what guys do as well? You go out with them, for a meal, but you find they just buy one dish and give you half of it??

You're still not getting my M&M's, whether the bag says share size or not. :p
Darn, you saw past my tricks, didn't you?

I haven't experienced that, but I can see that being annoying!

(Said in the gravely voice that a rather husky Tennessee redneck might use)

I thought about it and definitely will not let her half me next time (if there is a next time)

Just because I am small size does not mean I cannot eat a whole plate of food. ?!

Actually I find it super annoying when friends say do you want half when you dont want any, its because they are on some silly diet that only lets them have half their food.

Then it makes you kind of feel like a pig or dog for scrounging their leftovers. I'll say if you cant eat all your food you take it home for YOUR leftovers lunch the next day or your dog, cat, pig or chicken.

If the meal is yum cha style where its all shared anyway it does not seem to matter so much but its weird how european style food is all on one huge plate. Like they cant be bothered to portion it out properly.

Add it to the ever-growing list of things that are weird to you because you prefer to complain instead of understand.

Jesus can make a miracle and can feed 5000 people yet some people acts as if they just want half of your things. i.e covet what someone else has.

You might not see anything inherently wrong with this but I kind of do.

Nah. It's just fun to pick at you. If I were serious about it I would be posting a LOT more.

I went out with one of my married friends last night, and because Im single I dont have this problem, but she was saying that she and her husband decided to see a movie together cos he couldnt go with his friend.

They went to James Bond and she HATED it. But then she kind of kicked herself because she agreed to go with him then was cross that they went, She wanted to leave half way through but her husband had said its ok I can see it another time but she said no I'll go with you.

It was violent and misogynist and totally not her cup of tea.

I was like oh, and then she said she got cross at him but she was the one agreeing to go, so she was mad at herself for agreeing for not standing up for what she wanted to watch.

I just said well maybe next time choose a movie you BOTH want to watch. Movies about animals might be a safe bet.

so anyway singles be thankful you are blessed to be single and dont feel the need to bend over and please people and do stuff that make you feel bad and cross.

Lol how was she forced to bend over and please him? Based on what you wrote he had a lot of grace. Gave her every opportunity to say no and she still insisted. Imagine getting angry at your spouse because he had the courtesy of inviting her to something he really liked and even offered for her to cut half way through since she didn't like it. Did she expect him to not take her after he invited? Like you said, this happened because people aren't direct send honest. If you want to please someone do it out of love and try to enjoy yourself for their sake... or just say no next time.

Do "force yourself" to go and ruin someone's good time because it's not your cup of tea.

yea I dont know why she got angry at him...wasnt his fault

:-(

thought the film was so bad and violent that she was really uncomfortable. Maybe they could have discussed what they were going to see beforehand.

I think I would have maybe gone for an extended break to get popcorn and come back by the end before it finished if i was stuck seeing something gory. But he did offer to leave so..?!

I think they just never go to movies together because she doesnt like what they see and maybe he ALWAYS gets to choose and she never does.

And thats sad if one person is always making the decisions on what you do together as a couple.

I have been to a few movies with friends where it sucked but it wasnt the friends fault.
We just laugh at how bad the movie was. (CATS anyone?)

If someone really liked it and I didnt Id be honest and say well I wasnt impressed but its my choice next time. haha

I tend to tune out violence or just close my eyes and have a nap at the movies.

Not every movie is great in fact its rare to see a really good movie.
