I say to you --------that is not my responsibility to ask questions about what you post -----as far as I am concerned --If you post scripture then you should be posting what you feel the scripture is saying in your view ---you posted no comments ---so you WERE USING THE SCRIPTURE SOLELY TO PROVE YOUR POINT -----the ONUS IS ON You to Explain Your View ----it is not on me to ask questions about your view -----and that is how I see that ----Period -----

And by the way --------------------------------
I never posted my post to you or to any one ----my post was not directed at an person -----no name was mentioned --I mentioned only verse 14 in Matthew 6 Posted in post #8 -----
your name was not ever in my post ---

So you are taking my post personally which was never never directed at you in the first place --

it was a general post in regard to people saying that the Bible says we are not to have money -----which is FALSE DOCTRINE and that I will Defend ---every Time ----

This is from My post above ------

NOTE FOLKS:
Verse 14 below --is what Jesus was trying to tell the rich man when He said He has no where to lay His head ----they may have to walk through the night to the next place -----not that He was poor and destitute and had no place ever to lay their head -----and we know the rich man chose his STUFF over following Jesus -------

and that is the meaning of this scripture posted above on post #8 --Matthew 6
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.-----

So we are not seeing things in the same light ---you have your view and I have mine -----so I suggest we both need to cool off ---and let this settle -----and that is what i am going to do ---

You have a great evening
Wow....Please see your post # 11 which was directly replying to me. It was really uncalled for seeing that I had only posted scripture.

Anyways, I'm not concerned with arguing over this. It really isn't of God.

Peace to you.

Proverbs 28:27
Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to poverty will be cursed.

Matthew 5:42
Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

I've personally seen cases of people not giving when a person asks for money and their house ended up on fire. Is proverbs still apply today? I've just seen cases and even had it happen with me when I didn't give to a certain person and my wallet was lost that night.
jesus taught very often that we should care enough out other peoples needs to give and help if we have anything ourselves to share. We’re supposed to give according to our ability to those who simply don’t have enough, sometimes we’re in that boat other times we have plenty

I think we shouldn’t think giving is somehow how we earn anything but when we learn to actually have compassion on that person who is in need when we see it and have the capability of helping them even if it means we need to sacrifice some of our own desires or wants to help the other persons needs

Greed is a spirit we can’t live by , but compassion and actively doing good for someone in need of some kind maybe not even money maybe time , friendship , someone to comfort or help them through a tough time

but to help by maybe giving or donating clothes and things is a good thing and should always be encouraged

to actually go through life looking for someone to share a blessing with who really Needs the help is the best way to share Jesus name and word with people. After all he teaches us to help each other above most everything he teaches

I think if we really learn to be a cheerful giver in his name it becomes a blessing in multiple ways not simple monitary or temporal but it just blesses the heart when you help Someone you actually care about even if you don’t know them we can be compassionate and see they are cold and hungry and don’t have anything or other situations where it’s obvious

we’re supposed to look and meet need wherever we can in Jesus name it blesses everyone involved

Some like to say that the poor have no one to blame but themselves and that helping them would only be enabling them to remain poor. I don't buy it for a minute. We're supposed to lose this life, so we can gain it. It's called dying to self.
Take Up Your Cross
24Then Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. 25For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?…" - Matthew 16:24-26

amen as we learn the gospel it will change us at the core about not only the subject of giving but it delves into the depths of our lives and minds and hearts and really we give up things we think are something but he makes us way better and more fulfilled as our ways conform to his

when someone is praying for a need and need like a bill paid the thing is God isn’t going to magically have money waiting in the morning in tbier wallet now

but as Christians start to obey and hear thkngs like this and do then prayers get answered through obedient Christians

He provides what I need, when I need it. When I was a younger, naive believer, I got taken in by that prosperity rubbish, but now I see it for what it is. I'm saddened when I see how many are still duped by it. Selfish ambition has no place in the church!
God is not a vending machine, or a formula that we can manipulate. He is exactly who I need Him to be...He is my Father!
