Seriously, however, I do find you have to be commended on your self awareness and just wanting to please the Lord by brining this into captivity. The hardest fought battles are the ones with our own flesh. I would just keep being aware and wanting to please the Lord as you have shown. I would throw in some prayer and fasting as well. Fasting has helped me to get control of my flesh at times. Denial of my flesh for food has just built up my spiritual man in the fast and the prayer. Has just shown me that God really is faithful. That if I truly knock or truly seek, God does answer.

It is his will to burn away our chaff and remake us into the image of his son. So just keep up the fight and wish I could say that one battle won, ends the war. Have found for myself at least this is not the case depending how long the devil had to build a stronghold in my life.

So just keep up the good fight against your flesh and I commend ya bro that you wanna please the Lord and do what he finds right and good. I will be praying for you myself cause our flesh never wants to go quick and easy into the abyss.

And I also don't know whether we can blame the woman or not for showing those which could tempt a man.
In some countries, men wear their pants so tight that it shows the outline of their crotch and butt. Same, with shirts...some men wear their shirts so tight it shows their arm definition. If a woman lusts after such a man, do you think it is the man's fault for wearing tight clothes even if it is considered normal wear?

^ This is the end result of men refusing to take personal responsibility for their lust,
in blaming woman for how they dress. Just like Adam blamed Eve for his sin! And God.

With a PS to @cinder ~ you make many excellent points :) Along with @JohnDB :D

My end point was I don't wanna judge because I don't know what's right and wrong.

1. I should have been very close to holy spirit so that he can help me with this which I'm not and I'm trying on it.

2. I should have a verse that support my claim or yours.
At this point I'm not supporting anything, I even included lot of maybe in my previous sentences to mean what I'm saying isn't the moral or rule. If I ever find a breakthrough in this discussion I'll definitely come and tell you. For now I do not say something is sin and the other one isn't. Because I don't know. And I'm definitely not supporting men here.

Why do you guys make me do this again and again. Give right examples, in your case eve was punished. If she wasn't guilty why would God make her labour painful. You can say adam pointing at eve was childish without any sense because he knew that he should not eat that fruit and he can't simply put all responsibility on eve. But interestingly God actually asked eve why did you eat the fruit after listening to Adam's blame and then she blamed snake and God was like ahhh these humans. Anyways He carries his sin so as she. If eve was guiltless here you can use this as an example for this scenario. I don't relate this to our issue of dressing modestly but just pointing out that was wrong.

Blaming others for the choices you make? Hmmm... That does sound familiar!

Who said she wasn't guilty and not punished? You read far too much into so very little.

I am not sure where you get off on assuming so presumptuously and quite falsely that anyone is advocating for Eve's guiltlessness. It does not help your case that you add to Scripture things that are simply not there. To wit: Then the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” Regardless, it was Adam who was held responsible by God, not Eve. Getting back on track of the point I was making, which seems to have gone right over your head:

Men refusing to take personal responsibility for their actions and blaming women for how
they look is an abominable justification for their wicked lack of self control. The logical
outcome in such societies, as Islam for example, is to have women covered head to toe.

I'm not that man, did I ever say that ?. Show me where I said ONLY women carry guilt. Someone said like a woman can go topless and carry no guilt if she did not know that was wrong. And you are here posting full covered dresses and supporting women like someone here wants women to dressup like that. Nobody is talking about that and you're irrelevantly taking the topic towards women's rights or something.

Idk why you are arguing like someone said women take all responsibilities for tempting a man no one said that here.

And about Adam eve verse, read the verse that is before the verse you just sent. I don't want to fight with verses we are beleivers of God. What I said was after asking adam he pointed at eve then God asked eve that is exactly what's happening there.

I wanted to say both carry guilt if a woman tempted with her immodest dress(I meant a dress that shows too much not like short sleeves or skirts). After that I said I'm taking that back because I don't have biblical support over my claim this is what has happened. If you want to say woman carry no guilt even if she go topless, that's fine because still idk whether that's right or wrong.

If my replies seems rude don't bother because as blaming women stirs you up blaming men alone no matter what the situation is stirs me up too.

You have no Idea how much your words helped. God just used you to help me. When you said flesh won't settle easily that's so true it's putting up a very tricky fight. Thanx for the help.

You are welcome bro and you are not alone. I myself was a backslider who spent 36 years sinning most proficiently and am like Paul said of himself, I am chief among sinners.

I just came back into the fold a few years ago so the garbage and stink of the world is still being washed from me. So I just wanna encourage ya bro. You area is not the same as mine, but that does not matter. What matters is that we have areas that God wants to purge from our lives and he is faithful. Just want ya to know you are not alone and don't get discouraged. We fight the good fight and it is a daily, hourly, minutely, and a down to the second, fight.

So be encouraged cause he is faithful, he is the author and finisher of our faith. When you fail, I know for me I try and hide from God cause the failure and shame just sends me running. It is easier said than done, but just run towards him instead of away. Cause he is faithful and just and desires for us to have the liberty that comes in the cross. The liberty from sin and to overcome it.

So be encouraged and built up in Christ and know you are not alone cause I am right there with ya fighting my flesh in my own areas. So you are not alone my brother and may our God so bless ya and give you his peace and strength.

According to Proverbs 27:20, the eyes never stop lusting. Bonus inference, sinless perfection is not obtainable.

Proverbs 27:20 Death and Destruction are never satisfied, and neither are human eyes.

I think by this point you're just getting tangled up in misunderstanding. You're trying to explain what you said before, that they misunderstood because it was a reply to something they said that you misunderstood, because you said something they didn't quite catch...

I recommend considering this thread complete and going off to do something else, like participate in another thread, play a video game or read some comics.

Why? I never said such a thing. If someone else said it, you should be addressing them.

Idk why you are arguing like someone said women take all responsibilities for tempting a man no one said that here.
I don't know why you think I am arguing that.

And about Adam eve verse, read the verse that is before the verse you just sent.
I read the whole exchange. Adam was being addressed first, and then Eve. God did not ask Eve what you said He did.

Hey, I am sorry you are offended by the showing of an Islamic practice that originated with men blaming women while refusing to take personal responsibility for their lack of self control. You are not that guy? Good for you! Truly, you are to be commended for that.

Hello, I'm a guy, through the greatest grace of Jesus I've been saved from all lustfull deeds. I'm no more a slave to porn or anything. But when I look at woman my eyes involuntarily looks at places that it shouldn't look. I hate it, I don't enjoy doing it at the same time everytime when a woman is wearing a little exposed dress my eyes involuntarily does this. Suddenly I have to shut my eyes or turn my head away like a weird creature. Sometimes woman I know have noticed this some of them adjust their dress and some of them weren't bothered by this but I hate humiliating myself like this. Is this sin and does girls know this and what they actually think when a guy behave like this. Is this a common experience among men who are saved ?
I think this is involuntary -- I could be wrong. But, it seems we may be wired this way. I believe it may have been Billy Graham or some famous preacher who said that the first look is not the problem, it's the more deliberate ones that follow.

You are not going to automatically gravitate towards her eyes first if that's not what she's advertising. But, you can -- with some effort -- control where they go after that initial look. I'm practicing this at the gym.

In the meantime, continue to seek God for a purer and purer heart so that even when you have that initial, knee-jerk look at her cleavage, it doesn't cause you to lust after her. You may admire it and go "Nice, God!", but have no inappropriately carnal feelings generated from that.

I think I may have experienced something along those lines briefly in my life, back in maybe... 2013 or so? Not sure. It seems for two weeks I was loose and comfortable around women in a way I've never been in my whole life. I flirted, but even that felt clean, because of the attitude behind it. It just seemed that, for a brief period in my life, I may have been given a glimpse of what it was to be able to appreciate a woman's sexual attractiveness without the salivating -- before the fall.

I don't know if this is helpful, but continue to pray for a purer heart while understanding that -- as far as I understand this -- we men are simply wired that way, for the initial visual blast. (I could do without it either, but despite much prayer, God has never removed that instinct.)

Isn't this the same culture that has bellydancing??
