you don't know what those doctrines are nor what they teach it is clear of that. And that was shown to you and those of this thread and many past others :). You don't know church history :). that is just the facts and you have an opinion that was not backed up in the word of God :) that too was shown:).
I know what they teach about the baptism with the Holy Spirit and I know that this teaching was not taught in the bible nor during the churchhistory, so far it is documentet.
Its an doctrine which splittet christianity and was an open door for many false teachings about the Holy Spirit and Christian life. Thats enough for me to know.

you are just a rude person and failed to prove your point on a public Bible discussion form and that is all you can say? I don't think anyone forced you to respond to this thread. You are free to leave to LOL.
You are to kind.
No, the thing is, that you want that I should proof from the bible what is not there.
You are not able to proof your view from the bible. As I already said, an summation from verses which fit to an certain view make it not biblical.

So John 14,26 is for you? Have you walked and lived with Jesus, so that the Holy Spirit will remind you what Jesus had said?
FYI the Holy Spirit is sent for all. He convicts the world of sin as the Gospel of John says He comes to live inside the believer and He empowers the believer that is not just for the Apostles but to whosoever will. I will gain a place you ignore because I think you now are just immature which before I did not think. But instead of me debating you, I will pray for you and leave you be.

Know you should be able to prove from the Bible what you think it says if you are going to say the word of God says ask one to show you where in the bible something is taught.

You say show me where in the word of God initial evidence was taught? that is intellectual dishonesty. the term "initial evidence" is not said in the Bible just as the word Trinity is not and many other teachings ( doctrine) came out of studying the word of God.

the word Doctrine just means teaching which you take issue with. You were given very clearly the context from and application for initial evidence. You disagree, fine :). I will not lose any sleep over it.

1cor chapter 12 through 14 with the Gospels and the book of Acts many of us provided to you why we see what we see. You disagree fine. I wish you would be able to explain your own Biblical position. You are not here to do that. Only attack those you disagree with.

No problem. You make outlandish claims of us and our biblical understanding, yet you have YET to say " here is what 1cor chapter 12 through 14 means to you or what was Jesus saying really as you see it in the Gospel of John or the Acts accounts.

You have nothing. Just I don't accept man doctrine Oh my I'm scared and feel so inferior to your powerful intellect....not.

I asked you some time ago about the apostles being saved before the day of Pentacost and they had the Holy Spirit to be saved already before that day, yet you have not answered to that biblically. That is a very important thing. But you went on about man doctrine. OK fine. there are really no other posts you come to but ones about the Holy Spirit soon other like you will come and bloviate about the topic but provide no biblical text to refute only some so-called claim of church history or the pseudo-science and secular humanism. They will speak as if they have the Proof from :

  • linguist
  • pagan and occult practices
  • the abuse of the gifts from those they hate or disagree with biblically
Just running around like spirit Don Quixote trurling the bible and regurgitation of those who are not even Christians like of the list above. They have no biblical answer. they must look outside the Bible and to the pagans, to disprove the Bible :).

Very sad people they are.

You know what I know? Gods knows what I know.
No I do not know what you know but from your comment on Church history in context to Pentecostals, you do not know. You think you do but you do not. God fully knows yes you are very much ignorant to Pentecostals' experience and God knows everything that you claim to know about HIM should be seen by all. You are a little short in that area Biblically. Meaning you lack the ability to explain to those who don't know as you claim to know something about God. Instead, You hide your lack of understanding with statements like

"God knows what I know." Lol, I am sure He does.

No i am not God. He is the One who reveals the truth.

Look, would I found this teaching taught in the bible I would believe it.
So I also not trusting what people say because of their expieriences in this matter.
For that I made to much bad expieriences.
I don't think anyone cares anymore what you believe

you have gone on about your disbelief on every thread about the gifts

the gifts are in the Bible and you are free to ignore them and say they are not there

take it up with someone else who hasn't had the pleasure of trying to show you that you are wrong

I'm done. you have a Bible. it is your responsibility to study it

You expect to proof you from the bible, what is not taught there.
The assembly of God, foundet in 1914 states on their Homepage ( articles, sermons) that speaking in tongues is the evidence that someone is baptised with the Holy Spirit as an separate Event after got the Holy Spirit for salvation. Its for every believer and as empowering for the ministrie and to pour out our heart to God in prayer.
We know from 1. COR.12,30 that not all believers will get the gift of speaking in tongues.
So all this believers never will have the opportunity to pour out their hearts to God in prayer as believers which speaking in tongues can., according this teaching.

With other words, this teaching tells that all Christians before 1900 could not have this deep relationship to the father and also could not have this empowerment, then the Christians who followed this doctrine since 1901. In 1916 it came to a great spilitting among this movement. The Oneness pentecostals which deny trinity and claim also that without speaking in tongues no salvation. Since this time many splittings taken place and also some charismatic movements came up. With some different doctrines they teach the same about speaking in tongues as evident for to baptised with the Holy Spirit.
Did you ever study between the apostles in Acts and the Corinthian church?
In Acts is always mentioned that they were full of the spirit. In Corinth Paul had to correct and blame the believers for many sinful and fleshly behaviours. He called them babies in Christ which must drink milk instead to be able to eat meat. That means they were unmature.
In the teaching of the holyness movement and the pentecostal/ charismatic movements the baptism with the Holy Spirit seems for to be very dedicatet and mature believers and represent a fullness with the Holy Spirit. The opposite of what we find in Corinth.
And still nobody is able to proof that this, it seems almost important issue for every believer, was taught to believers in the bible.
With your bible in your Hand you have to pick verses together, taking out of the context for to justify the expieriences which made since 1901.
I have learned during bible study, that God revealed in his word everything what we need to know. But this peticular pentecostal/ charismatic teaching about speaking in tongues as evidence that someone received the Holy Spirit is not among the word of God.
If you take the text of Acts, 2, 8, 10 and 19 you can read the purpose of this text easily in the text himself.

first off you are not a member of the Aog, nor does it state that in the 16 fundamental truths and our statements of belief. You really need to stop attacking what you don't know.

in context to what they aog AGREES with scripture on the topic of initial evidence is number 8 after number 1-7. so you are not very clear and your youtube info is lacking

# 8 states :

8. THE INITIAL PHYSICAL EVIDENCE OF THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
The baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance.

The speaking in tongues in this instance is the same in essence as the gift of tongues but is different in purpose and use.

  • 1 Corinthians 12:4-10 [KJV/NIV]
  • 1 Corinthians 12:28 [KJV/NIV]
You cannot fully receive the context of number 8 without reading 1-7. The time you want to tell a Pentacostel minister of the aog what they believe, know what you are talking about, it helps.

You do not know what you are talking about. and we are done you and me.

Preacher John McArthur, Baptists, Dispensation and others had declared that the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, most especially speaking in Tongues, had CEASED with the departure of the Apostles.

Could this be true? If , Yes, then speaking in tongues would be counterfeit and even demonic.

God is not the Author of confusion and somebody is in great error.
Jesus said this:
Mark
Chapter 16
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe;
In my name shall they cast out devils;
they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents;
and if they drink any deadly thing,
it shall not hurt them;
they shall lay hands on the sick,
and they shall recover.

The word of God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

There is your proof. Now if you are claiming that the words of Jesus are not true today
then you are saying that the word of God spoken by Jesus
is no longer the truth for today.

I am thinking that is blaspheme of the Holy Ghost.
For Jesus spoke all words by the Holy Ghost.

But I also would have to agree with you
that now days that it has been counterfeited by the devils
such as most all things that God has ever done.
But that does not make what Jesus spoke not true.

If you disagree with this...what part of it do you say is not true?

I find it kind of ironic that you are demanding someone to prove it to you
when you cannot prove which one church out of millions on earth
is the one true Church that Jesus started. Like is there not even a zillion
different sects of the Baptist church? So which one of those is the true church?
God is not the authority of confusion. Ask Preacher John McArthur to prove
his sect is the one true church out of all the different brands of Baptist.

i AGREE with Scripture - Scripture cannot Lie

The One True Church that Christ started was Adam & Eve in the Garden - Ephesians 5:30-33

For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. 31“For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”
32This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Now - Scriptural Evidence of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit for His Church TODAY - Can you find it in Scripture???

Mark ch 16 is True - but let's get directly to the evidence that says either YES or NO for Today - Amen

We should never blaspheme the Holy Spirit - AGREE

PEACE
