What a great way to tear down the idea of women desiring to cook or make something special for their loved one! 🙄

Ok, this is Disney which I don't support but, seriously?? The dad changing the books to "fight gender stereotypes" is basically saying women are lazy and self serving. He's saying showing love in a "traditional" way is wrong. He's teaching his daughters that if they want to be homemakers, they're wrong. If they want to show love to their husbands by an act of service, they're wrong.

This dad and the whole idea that women should only think of themselves is sickening. In a world where we're taught to only think about "me, me, me", it's no wonder divorce runs rampant.

As an aside, Tiana always wanted her own restaurant/bistro so changing her character to fit a modern, SJW mindset where cooking/baking is beneath women is just...stupid.

Disney has always been at the forefront of undermining Christian principles. Much of it's output is shot through with the occult. Adults are portrayed as idiots while kids are the smart ones. Sugar coating Satan's agenda makes it easier to swallow, but no less destructive.

Except in this case, Disney is portraying a princess cooking for the man she loves and this dad is photoshopping to change something relatively wholesome, to fit a SJW mindset.

Can you imagine if one of his daughters wants to be a baker or chef? Is she going to feel guilty because, according to daddy, girls are suppose to order pizza and hog nachos while watching tik tok, instead of cooking and sharing food?

people can do whatever they like to Disney stories because we know they arent true. They are fairy tales and made up.

I would not even worry about it

I'd only care if someone tried to change the Bible, which is true stories.

Jesus did actually tell Martha she was worrying too much when she was banging around in the kitchen and wanting Mary to help her. He said Mary had chosen the better part and its wasnt to be taken away from her...her education which was LISTENING TO JESUS.

I watch TikTok quite a bit, and often I see neat videos of women filling lunch boxes for their husbands to take to work. I love watching them because it always turns out looking great, almost like a work of art. But WITHOUT FAIL, there are always people on there commenting stuff like, "Are you his wife or his mother?"

It's always infuriating. Since when is feeding someone you love a bad thing? And the ironic part is that the women making those comments are the same ones who complain that they can never find an "emotionally available" man. hmmm, I wonder why

I love making a beautiful meal for the people I love. I know that they love doing things for me too. I do get frustrated when I hear single women say they just cannot find a good man, and they're so done! I think that's really unfair. There are lots of really good men and they are very happy to be spoiled AND also to spoil the women that they love. I think the people that get mad about this kind of sweet gesture are kind of ridiculous. Just show love to those you love! Gosh!!!!!

Gestures of love can be simple things. It's a gorm of romance. Encourages hard work. Unsupported, the worker of the home will be less successful.
Submission is natural for some, but never free. A spouse needs to earn the care through effort. These gestures cost nothing, they are not sexual favors. Joking about them is the arrogance of education and modernity that is missing the essence of the soul

You have highlighted such a majorly negative behaviour here.

Most of the women including career women I know love cooking, trying new recipes, etc. The reason why career women, or households where both men and women work, eat out or order in more is due to lack of time. They still cook but on less frequent basis, or they may cook a very simple meal like a quick one-pot dish. Just like we don't expect men to come home from work and prepare time-consuming meals, why should this be expected of women? If both spouses are working, why shouldn't the husband help with some chores as well? However, I can see how if the wife (or husband) is a homemaker, the working spouse would expect the other spouse to prepare the meals (even from scratch) and do most of the chores. Cooking/taking care of the home is a great act of love, but there are also other acts of love as well which can offset not being able to cook, etc. due to lack of time (such as buying sports tickets for the husband, or getting a toolbox, or some other gift). The church views volunteer service and giving money equally, usually, so the gift does not always need to consist of labor.

If the cooking of my deceased (Japanese) wife and last former girlfriend's cooking was evil, that's the best tasting "evil" food I've ever had! :p

Jesus cooked fish and bread
see John 21:9
He also told Peter if he loved him to 'feed my sheep' and 'feed my lambs'. It didnt matter that Peter was male.

I reckon that some people are too locked into gender roles saying women should ONLY do this and men should ONLY do that, when Jesus showed that you can become a whole, well rounded person by doing things that have been traditonally negelected...men CAN be nurturers and women CAN have an education.

So if anything Jesus totally defied gender steretoypes.

Most good chefs are men. I don't know why, perhaps it's because it is physically demanding. My dad was a chef. He was very good at it. My mother could cook for a family of six. I'm not sure how she would have gone with hundreds.

My youngest brother learned to cook Chinese very well. My younger brother was a chef most of his working life. Me, I missed out on the appropriate gene.

The woman cooking thing goes back to the start of the industrial revolution. Men went out to work, women stayed home to look after the kids. An 11 hour working day was not that unusual. I don't blame men for asking their wives to cook after the days that they put in. It's different now. A man's best friend is the microwave. I'd starve without one.

I am not a fan of trying to feminise men. God made us to be different. When my children were tiny, I had not that much interest. The women were oohing and aahing. When the kids grew a bit older, they were more interesting. My wife at the time wanted to keep them babies. Me, I loved to see them growing up.

Men are much more objective. My kids could and did do wrong. My ex would excuse them way too often.

It would be great if both men and women were educated. These days kids come out of schools with little real education and inflated egos. One of our neighbours has worked in employment services. The kids look down on entry level jobs while hardly being able to add 2 and 2 without a calculator. Spelling? Who cares. Grammar? Punctuation? Forget it. So now they have to do courses to learn English so they can attend university. Logic and reason? No longer taught and the result is conspiracy theories and flat earthers.

When I'm in a queue, I amuse myself by watching the checkout kids struggle with coins. They have to add the coins up. No wonder they are trying to eliminate cash. How hard is it to add 4 x 20 cents and 1 x 10 cents? It may as well be calculus for some of them. If I'm in a rush, I never give exact change. it's too painful.

I think some women like to have children only as babies because they are easy to carry when they are babies! But when they grow up they become harder to handle.
OF course breast feeding is something only women can do but men can help bottle feed.

The kiwi bird dad is the one who sits on the egg while the mum goes out to find food. I think as long as tasks are agreed on and shared equally its fine, though both men and women get a bit antsy if someone tries to take their perceived domain. I think it has been worse for women because many men feel threatened that 'their' jobs are being taken. Well dont be. Women have had to do pretty much everything when there are no men around, since many just went off to war and didnt come back.

Dont know why more people dont say men going off to war is evil
or war in general is evil. It hurts everyone, the ones on the battlefield and the ones at home. It leaves children orphaned and wives widowed, and totally ruins and devastates the land on which it is fought.

I think the bigger picture that we all need to understand is that nearly everything coming out of Hollywood--and there are exceptions--are about trying to change society towards their liberal left social and political propaganda--we know behind the 'curtain' is Satan who "comes to steal, kill, and destroy".

We as Christian families however, should not be legalistic with roles--she cooks and cleans, etc. Men and women are equal in their humanity, but God has called the woman to submission--because of that ol' Eve! However, I believe that this teaching is one sided in so many churches--to the point where they say women have to submit to all men--this is absolutely wrong. The husband, I believe is held to a greater responsibility--note that the instructions to him are much longer regarding how he is to treat his wife. He is to love her as "Christ loved the church and gave His life for it." This is not a parent/child relationship--it is more of President and Vice President.

Regarding cooking, my uncles on my mother's side were outdoorsmen and hunters. They were also excellent cooks. I used to work for a wealthy family as a nanny. the father worked for a venture capitalist firm sometimes upwards of 70 hours a week. And he also was an excellent cook. I did most of the cooking when my sons were little, but then when I got a full time job I wasn't home until 5:45 and my ex-husband was home by 3:30 and had to be up early so didn't want to have dinner late and he started cooking the meals. And he did a great job too. ( he grew up in a very traditional household---his father never stepped foot in the kitchen)

It isn't about who is cooking or not cooking as Gideon said his father was a professional chef and his brother was a good cook. That really doesn't have anything to do with a traditional family and in this day and age for Disney to poopoo a woman cooking when cooking shows are so popular is just plain dumb.

On another note, I think employers need to give men more flexibility with their work to spend time with their families--before the industrial age boys worked alongside their fathers and often teachers were men. I feel sorry for the young boys now--there are hardly any men teaching them. I recall in the 90s they were putting so many boys on Ritalin for 'hyperactivity'--when what they needed was MORE physical activity. It's completely unnatural for a child to have to sit for hours a day.

When people come in and try to conform society to their twisted sense of how things should be, they always make things worse.

we can go back farther than that--Esau sold his birthright for a bowl of Jacob's lentil stew:

29 Once when Jacob was cooking stew, Esau came in from the field, and he was exhausted. 30 And Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red stew, for I am exhausted!” (Therefore his name was called Edom.[a]) 31 Jacob said, “Sell me your birthright now.” 32 Esau said, “I am about to die; of what use is a birthright to me?” 33 Jacob said, “Swear to me now.” So he swore to him and sold his birthright to Jacob. 34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and lentil stew, and he ate and drank and rose and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.

Maybe some women are like that. For me, it is sooo much easier when they can go to the bathroom without assistance. The older they get, the more interesting conversations we have. They become a help instead of a hindrance with chores around the house. They become fun to take out shopping and play board games ...

Babies are hard. Love them, they're cute and huge blessings, but older kids are definitely easier.
