this is just crazy

Some people have a very very different idea of what looks better than others.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Once upon a time and for the longest time the "curvy" and heavier women were considered beautiful...the athletic or anorexic women of today weren't desirable whatsoever.
Also a larger nose was once a very much a desired trait.

But today...we got a very different ideal...beauty is subjective. But the woman in that video very much has mental health issues.

Many people get psychology degrees to cure their own crazy...as if that would work.

That being said, the closest to a sane person who has gotten a psych degree is my Sister-in-law...she is graduating here in December and trying to get into Art Therapy for troubled teens. I'm about positive that she is going to be poor for most of her life...but whatever. She is a nice girl. Really odd mix that my wife is her sister. They don't act a LOT alike...but whatever.

sorry, but if I were looking for a psychologist and saw that in the office, I'd RUN
No kidding eh?
Psychologists are supposed to be people who you want to talk to and they are supposed to be great listeners...

They aren't supposed to make you speechless with their appearance and afraid.... very very afraid.

pyschologists arent necessarily therapists

I would also be wary of psychologists in general as some just ring bells as expect you to salivate. eg B. F Skinner

The current craze of huge fake eyelashes reminds me of the 60s. (First coming to mind... Twiggy. And Marlo Thomas in That Girl.) It was all about "The London Look". Blame it on the Beatles.

I never could stand fake lashes. I was more in the hippie no-makeup crowd. Come to think of it, I still am. :)

what about those beehive hairdos? lol

I dont really see many ppl these days wearing Marge Simpsons bouffant.
Amy Winehouse had one but she was an entertainer. Unless you are on stage and performing, wouldnt they be a hassle to wear all the time?

Makeup was orignally designed for theatre players to stand out on the stage (in the days before tv and film) but they carried it over till it was kind of normal to wear it even if you were NOT acting.

Instead of having to wear a mask.

Which ironically, we all now need to wear anyway. (cos of covid)

On second thought, why not just go for the gusto and take on the colored contacts and fuzzy caterpillars, I mean, extreme false eyelashes, all at the same time!

Fashion industry and the selfie culture means that looking fashionable is going to grow in importance.
The soul and its energy is not easy to highlight.
Women fear being ignored, especially when they are wanting to find a partner. It must be so tough

It is unfortunate that they do not realize that opting for that look will most-likely-and-often "scare away" the best partner they might ever find...

(i.e. - they will be ignored by the very partner they hope for)

I thought the teardrop thing meant you were a gangster.

Maybe the women who wear the eyelashes also belong to some kind of gang. I dont think stuff worn by women is to always done to attract men.

Is that what todays makeup is made of or made like? I have no knowledge of theatre or acting, so I have no clue of how todays cosmetics or make up differs from what the Egyptians wore back in 4000 BC. However, it does seem like it would be different from back them.

Back then of course it was used well for gals to make themselves more attractive. Book of Enoch non inspired of course, credits Azael or Azazel with teaching women how to wear make up as well as jewelry and other forms of beautification. So todays makeup is what was used for theatre. That I did not know.

yea Max factor was one of the companies that popularised it.
Orignally the max factor makeup was formulated for hollywood movie stars. Stage lighting, whether for stage or screen was such that the actors/actresses had to stand out.

In the Bible, Jezebel painted her face, so it got a bad rap from her.

Oh I can believe it. The last house I had bought with my ex wife, she of course being female always wanted a big master bathroom. So got the garden tub and his and hers sinks. Was just more room than we have ever had. Which I thought ok cool with all this room around the sinks and the two medicine cabinets. I am gonna have space to final have my stuff on the sink countertops. I was wrong more space just meant she had more she could spread out...........LOL
