I mainly read other people's posts on these forums and pray, I rarely post myself.

I work for the public service in Canada. In August, the government announced its intention to make COVID vaccination mandatory for all public servants, as well as federally regulated workplaces.

All public servants in my department who can do so have been working from home on a fulltime basis for over a year and a half now. When the COVID vaccine was introduced, I decided to avoid it mainly due to my own suspicions about it as well as a health problem that I have with significant bleeding and blood clots. I would have been off work for a protracted period if I had been in the office, but since I had work from home my career actually really took off with promotions and positive performance reviews. I know there is a public perception of government employees as lazy and entitled, but I work in benefit delivery services. I genuinely do my best to serve the public on a daily basis.

At the same time, I thought that the mandatory vaccination would not apply to workers who were working from home on a fulltime basis. Since I started my career six years ago, I have never seen a client in person - always over the telephone. Since I started working from home in April 2020, I have not seen a single colleague in a work environment.

Recently, the media found out that the government will insist that all employees receive the vaccine, even if they never step foot in an office. Their logic is that our homes are now government workplaces to be governed by Treasury Board mandates, just like their office. The penalty for refusal will be an indefinite unpaid suspension (i.e. essentially, you're fired until you get the vaccine).

I have complied with the mandates passed down thus far. I wore the mask, I stopped going to church for over a year, I stopped attending large social events for a long time. Originally our government said proof-of-vaccination would be "divisive" and unnecessary, but they changed their minds in less than a month.

I know people have different views on the efficacy of this vaccine, but it seems to me as though the government is crossing a distinct boundary - from public places to my own home, from public policy to my own body. Right now the mandates will apply to civil servants and federally regulated workplaces (which is a HUGE number of people here - includes all banks, trade, airlines, trains, internet/phone etc. and all associated companies), but it would not surprise me if individual provinces (think: states) introduced their own mandates.

The government is introducing this very quickly - likely by the end of the month. The speed at which this was implemented is ironic, since normally it would take years for something like this to come into effect. I'll probably be living in a camper by the winter. Fortunately I have no family to support.

We do not discuss the topic of vaccination in my church to avoid division within the congregation. The people I would normally seek advice from have actually left the country due to the way things are going. I don't really know what to do at this point - I pay for a house by myself, and there's simply no way I could afford to do so if I lose my job. Most properties around here are owned by foreign investors or retirees, and most jobs pay barely above minimum wage.

I don't really like the whole "woe-is-me" thing since I am the one who is refusing to comply, but if someone could keep me in their prayers, now is a time in life when I would appreciate guidance.

It's a sign of the times. Canada is going the way of most Western democracies - more authoritarian, more "progressive" (code for antichrist attitudes and morals) and less democratic. I've had the jab, but the idea of forcing it on people is not right. Would you be able to get an exemption on health grounds?

The only answer is to pray. Canada had the opportunity to rid itself of Trudeau but they failed to take it. That's democracy.

For what it may be worth...

Look into the laws of your country for definitions and allowances that support the following:

1) Your home is your sanctuary, and cannot lawfully be seized and declared government property by the government just because you work for the government.

2) The government cannot classify a property that the government does not specifically own as a "government workplace" and regulate it as such.

I was in the same situation and resigned. I felt full of joy when I did. I would encourage you to listen to the life and peace within. Pray over your decision and listen to the Lord. My wife struggled much more over this than I did but she has finally come to the point where she too will resign.

"Come out of her my people."

When DeBlasio came out with his mandate in NYC 50% of the teachers were unvaccinated. If we had stood together and all resigned rather than comply the school would have collapsed and he would have been forced to rescind his mandate. But they didn't they protested, they whined, they cried, but one by one they all complied and so the ones who walked out were in the 10-20% range (retirements are about double, many others moved to other states, some quit). The schools are in chaos but not quite bad enough to admit to the public.

They are replacing all the teachers who left (you had to have a Master's degree, pass several exams to be certified, fingerprinted, vetted, etc) with anyone who can speak english. Teaching is hard enough if you are prepared, throwing people in without any training or preparation is simply throwing wood on the fire. These schools are going to go up like bonfires. One or two bad teachers will ruin an entire school.

I would encourage all parents to pull your kids and homeschool.

The reality is that an employer/HR does not care if you leave get fired. Especially for government jobs, there are 1000 people from all over the country applying for one job. There are people begging for your job! The employer is not going to beg you to come back.

It can be a difficult decision especially if you have some health issues which are the same as vaccine side effects (such as blood clots, heart disease, paralysis, etc.). Right now it is impossible to get a medical exemption because they are only granting those to people who are allergic to a couple of vaccine ingredients. I know of a pregnant woman who did not get an exemption because the CDC said it is fine for pregnant women to get the vaccine. Religious exemption might be easier, and that is between you and God on whether to apply for religious exemption.

The reason why I say the religious exemption decision is between you and God, is that some Christians have a very strong conviction about the fetal cell issue whereas other Christians the conviction is less (as they are more concerned about preserving life in the here and now, and they believe the vaccine helps with that). Both are valid in my opinion.

Sounds like it's your cue to leave the country too. If you're going to end up in a camper anyway, it may as well be somewhere where the vaccine Nazis aren't constantly harassing you.

As to be expected, they are also prohibiting and travel by sea, air, or rail for unvaccinated passengers. The land borders with the United States also remain closed. Really, it seems as though the only way out of the country is to privately charter a plane or ship. It would not surprise me if they also closed inter-provincial travel (i.e. travel between states).

You can go to Texas, dress up as someone who works for the cartel and then walk across the border.

The problem is we try to save our life so we run or we stay.It seems Many never consider if they are believers it's no longer a concern for self but others.Fear for those that don't fear god. Please remember Jesus said he that loses his life for my sake shall find it.

True, I am more sad than worried. I was genuinely devoted to my career not just as a source of income but also a bit of my identity.

They do call it the gilded cage. Golden handcuffs. 24 karat ball and chain. Perhaps one day I will look back and thank God for giving me the impetus to leave a life where I sat in front of a computer for nine hours a day. I need to have that attitude now, though :p

ZNP Real bad because a rival gang could kill him.And Bad because that's the use of cunning.but i'v seen exception in the bible.Paul got the Sadducees to fight the Pharisees using cunning to save himself.David pretended to be crazy and saved himself.but that lesser then grace
