Steven Anderson is wrong - Sodomites can still be saved.

Pilgrimshope, Repentance of Sins only comes after Salvation. Not before. Does a Sodomite have to turn from his Sodomy or try to stop being a Sodomite before God will save him? No. A Sodomite just has to believe the Gospel of the Death, Burial and Resurrection and he will be saved. In other words, a Sodomite comes to God just as he is, and he believes the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And God will save him. And so, Repentance of Unbelief comes before Salvation. A Sodomite is to repent of his unbelief and believe the Gospel. And then once that Sodomite is saved, then he can begin to repent of his individual sins, such as Sodomy. Since he now has two natures.

who would commit sodomy in Gods presence and not expect his word that it’s an abomination to be applied ? When we receive the Holy Spirit it is Gods holy presence with us.

either way we have to actually stop sinning was my point repentance isn’t to keep sinning and say we’re saved. Grace doesn’t change that

“What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we aren’t saved in sin in order to keep sinning without consequence and judgement. Grace isn’t something that allows us to continue on sin , but allows us to come out of sin and live right while we wait for salvation

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s how grave saves us , it allows the teachings in about repentance and living right , loving and becoming zealous of good works despising the evil works that had us held captive in sin and death serving satan.

but there’s also a perverted version of grace that crept in long ago and remains today allowing us to sin freely and say we’re saved

“For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:4-5, 7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

grace isn’t freedom to sin or a license to Live in sin , but freedom from sins dominion and power over us teaching us repentance and empowering us to righteous living while we await the lord coming with salvation.

we aren’t saved in sin brother but are saved through repentance given a grace to allow us to hear the truth and accept it and repent

Repentance away from sin is a prerequisite for salvation (Ezekiel 33:11-20, Luke 13:1-5, 2 Corinthians 7:10).

No it is not. Repentance of Sins (Turning From Sins) before salvation, is works. If a Sodomite has to repent and turn away from his Sodomy before God will save him, then that Sodomite also must repent of his laziness, over eating, bitterness, jealousy, and every other sin he has been guilty of. Repentance of Unbelief is before Salvation. Then once that Sodomite is saved, then he can begin to repent of his personal sins, such as Sodomy and slothfulness, etc. Repentance of sins comes after Salvation. And not before.

Read the verses in question.

A person becomes born again when he relinquishes the control of his own life to God and makes up his mind that he will be obedient to the Lord. This is repentance.

I think that you have mis-defined repentance by thinking that it means that every individual sin that you commit, you have to stop doing, by pinpointing every sin in your life and turning from it.

But real repentance can be a general thing. The individual sins will then be taken care of as we become aware of them.

It isn't idolatry, Dino. It is Faith to believe God's perfect and infallible word, sir.
No, it is not. Faith is the certainty of things NOT seen (Hebrews 11:1), not belief in things that are.

"Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, "

God alone knows the exact moment at which a person is translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. To us, it's a process that includes both repentance and faith, in any order.

Repentance itself isn't turning from sins. True repentance will cause a person to turn from sin however. The Greek simply means to think differently or reconsider. Before we can receive Christ's gift of grace we must reconsider any thoughts we may have had that say we aren't guilty before God. We realize our sins have made us guilty and we understand our need for a savior. Repentance of unbelief would certainly be included.

But repentance of unbelief isn't the only thing. If we don't feel that it's necessary to turn from our sin, we haven't truly understood what it is we've repented of. Works are necessary; not that works of the law can save us, but actions in keeping with repentance, can. Works, (a.k.a. actions), isn't a dirty word.

"And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did also your rulers. But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ would suffer, he thus fulfilled. Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out,"—Acts 3:17-19

How a person lives his life is not an issue before Salvation. You are confusing Discipleship with Salvation. A person becomes born again by believing on Jesus Christ and trusting In His Finished Work Alone for his Salvation. Then after he is saved and born again, he will need to consider if he is ready and willing to count the cost of discipleship. Because in order for him to become a Disciple, he indeed will have to relinquish the control, and he will need to surrender his life unto God, before he can become a Disciple.

Not at all. Repentance is a Change of Mind about oneself and about God before Salvation. It is a Conversion of Trust from Dumb idols and dead works UNTO the Word of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. The person’s sins are not an issue before salvation. Repentance of sins should come after his salvation.

It is of Faith, Dino. Because Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. And the King James Bible is the word of God.

Yes, Dino. Repentance does precede Faith. But before Salvation, the sinner is not repenting of his individual sins. But rather, the lost sinner is repenting of his unbelief. It is Repentance of unbelief and then Faith in the Gospel. And then after Salvation, it is Repentance of one's personal sins.

Amen.

Any sinner can be saved. Even Sodomites (Homosexuals and Lesbians). If they will simply believe the Gospel of The Death, Burial and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, trusting alone in that Finished Work of His, as the only sufficient payment for their sins. I saw Aden Rusfeldt recently tell a group of Sodomites on a campus somewhere, that they could not be saved. Basically he was telling them that there is no hope for them. And then in another video, I heard another preacher in his group, telling Sodomites at a pride event "I would not even share my testimony with you." Well, of course, he wouldn't. Why would he? he doesn't think that they can be saved anyway. Which also brings up another question to my mind, why are they even out there preaching to them? I am mean If God cannot save them, According to their reprobate heresy, well then aren't they wasting their time??? Oh but they will go out there just to call them names and to rail on them.

Well, he, like Steven Anderson, is also wrong. That's Heresy. Once again, this kind of thinking of theirs, comes from that "reprobate doctrine." If Sodomites cannot be saved, then neither can those other sinners be saved in that list of Romans 1 (i.e. backbiters, whisperers, covetous, fornicators, boasters, inventors of evil things, murderers, disobedient to parent's, etc.) The truth is, that whole group of Gentiles mentioned in Romans 1, had been given over to a reprobate mind and not just the Sodomites (Homosexuals and Lesbians). What is a reprobate mind? Simply put, it is a mind that is inverted. Any wicked person that is depraved has a reprobate mind at that present time. Which would explain why their conduct is as wicked as it is. But even a Reprobate can still be saved, if he will repent (change his mind about God and about himself) and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

IF Jesus can't save abs sett free a homosexual then He can't fornicator, adulterer, drunkerd and liar. All those too will not enter the Kingdom of God. we all are lost.

Faith, the certainty of things not seen, comes by hearing the word of God... from any translation, and in any language.

You're adding to the word of God. The word of God does not say that repentance from unbelief precedes faith.

A person must repent of generally living a sinful lifestyle before they can be saved.

For if they continue to be a worker / doer of iniquity, they will be cast into "the furnace of fire, where there is wailing and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 13:41-42; Matthew 7:23, Matthew 25:41).

Therefore their repentance away from sin is an integral aspect of the salvation that is given to them.

Faith comes by the hearing of the word of God. That will include any faithful and accurate translation that is based on the King James Bible text. Or at least the underlying Hebrew and Greet Texts of the King James Bible. The modern translations such as the NIV, ESV, NLT, Mess, CEV, etc. are not faithful translations. they are not accurate, but rather, they are corrupt.

A Sinner cannot repent of or turn from his personal sins, because he is spiritually dead in them. A lost sinner cannot turn away from his sins because he is dead in Adam, and he only has one Nature. Only a born again Christian can repent of and turn from his sins, since the Christian has two natures. Conviction of sins comes before Salvation. Whereas Repentance of Sins comes after Salvation. A Sodomite does not have to turn from his Sodomy before he can be saved. A Sodomite must repent of his unbelief. A Sodomite must come under Conviction, and then once he is under conviction, then he can choose whether or not he will believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
